The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

AYLWARD, JERRY (GERARD CALVIN)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jerry (Gerard Calvin) Aylward, of St. Lawrence announces his passing on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Health Science Center, CICU aged 60 years. Predeceased by his parents Gerard and Lillian (nee Murphy) Aylward, father-in-law Clarence Gallant and brother-in-law Danny. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife Suzanne (nee Gallant) and daughter Samantha, who were his world. Also leaving to mourn siblings; Pat, Derrick (Brenda Lawlor), Diane (Jeff Curtis), Paula (Stephen Hanley), Calvin and nephew Jacob, as well as brother in laws; Allan, Terry (Louise), Andy (Lena), Clarence (Joyce), sister-in-laws; Louise (Pierre); Anne and a treasured circle of nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of family and friends. There have been numerous Health Care Professional involved in Jerry's care over the years. The family would like to acknowledge the personal touches and compassion they provided Jerry and his family. Jerry was an active member in his home town of St. Lawrence. A long time member of the Lions Club, Jerry served as president of the local club for several years and played an instrumental part in funding raising initiatives for the playground and many other key causes in the community. Jerry operated the Mini Mart for over 30 years where he greeted his customers with a smile and chat upon arrival. He has no doubt left an indelible mark on the lives of many. May he live on with a smile, in each of his stories that he shared. Visitation at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Thursday 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Friday 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Passed peacefully away at Glenbrook Lodge, St John's on October 10, 2017 Isaac Barnes of Garnish at the age of 103. Predeceased by wife, Nellie Jane Barnes, daughter Mabel, parents Charles and Clara Barnes, brothers, William, John, Angus, Merrill, sisters, Irene, Esther, Mary Anne, Alice, Elsie, Edith, Annabelle and first wife, Martha (Prior) Barnes. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories, husband George of 57 years, daughters Cindy (Anthony) Kelly and Cathy (Eugene) Dimmer. Four grandsons Tony (Jessica), David (Nikita), Jonathan & Bradley and three great-grandchildren Micoya, Jordan and Nicholas. GRANDY, Reginald E. G.
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on October 20, 2017, Reginald E. G. Grandy, aged 94. Left with cherished memories, his wife of 66 years, Betty Grandy (nee Bugden); daughters, Judy (Bill) Finn, Shirley (Geoff) Wright, and Elizabeth (Raymond) Cook; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. Reg was a long time member and sidesman of St. Mary's Church. At the age of 65, he retired after a fulfilling career with the Canadian National Railway. Cremation has taken place. HOUSE, Rita Agnes Mary (nee Coady)
- It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Rita Agnes Mary Coady-House age 65 years, of Paradise formerly Burin, at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre. Predeceased by father Patrick Coady; stepfather John Manning and parents-in-law Charles and Evangeline House. Leaving to mourn her beloved husband of 40 years Reg; her cherished daughters: Carolyn (Blaine) and Elizabeth (Darryl)(her favorite furry friend Chloe) and treasured son Matthew (Ashley). Rita was a proud grandmother to her two little grandchildren: Brayden Butler (3 years) and Charlotte Sheppard (17 months) who will always remember their special Nanny House.
Also leaving to mourn her mother Marion Coady Manning of Burin; sister Mary Cremin and step sister Anne Flynn of Dunville. Sisters-in-law: Edie, Rose, Viola and Betty; brothers-in-law: Len, Charl, Bill; a very special cousin who was like a sister Marie O'Neil Morgan, and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
