It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARGARET BOLAND of Grand Bank announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Saturday, October 8th, at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are special nephew, Bill Green (Nicole) of Grand Bank and special great-niece, Rebecca Green of Grand Bank; sisters, Edith Winsor and Susie Grandy of Grand Bank, Ethel (Cyril) Cuff of Lewisporte; brother, George Green (Joyce Rogers) of Grand Bank; sister-in-law, Rose Green of Grand Bank; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 61 years, George, Sons Earl (Susan), Winterland, Perry (Paula), Creston North, daughter Heather Lane (Gus), Winterland, 7 grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren; sister Belle Moulton, sister in law Emily Marshall, Winterland; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Millie is predeceased by her daughter Judy, parents Bert and Dinah Marshall, brothers Bert, Joe and Harry Marshall, sister Beulah Beazley, brother in law Don Moulton. , 85 Worked on original road crew for Verrazano Bridge Thomas Hannam, 85, passed away with the love of his family in hospice care on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016. Born in the Canadian province of Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Jim and Annie Hannam.

HODDER, Edna Frances, 77, of Jacques Fontaine, passed, peacefully, on the morning of October 2, 2016 in Burin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Edna Frances was born on December 6, 1938, in Creston North, to the late John and Alma Hodder. She was married to the late Elias Hodder for over 53 years where within that time their most important thing in life were always being around and sharing their time with their Children and Family. Edna Frances is survived by six of their seven children, Linda Hickman (John Hickman), Wanda Hodder (Allan Conrad), Lester Hodder, Doreen Harris (Maurice Harris), Lucy Inkpen (Byron Inkpen), and Sharon Sutherland (Robert Sutherland). She is now reunited with her late daughter Nancy Hodder. She leaves behind her Sister, Lucy Pierce (William Pierce), John Hodder and the late Randell Hodder. Edna also leaves to cherish her loving memory, 17 grandchildren, Christopher, John, Dennis, Sherri-Lynn, Denise, Allen, Craig, Lester, Daniel, Linda, Shane, Marsha, Philip, Kyle, Matthew, Blake, Robert, and Keifer, 17 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Lucas, Mitchell, Morgan, Kristal, Anthony, Allen, Amanda, Kayden, Chase, Cole, Xander, Kenzie, Karsen, Jordon, Ethan and Evan, and 1 great-great grandson, Mason. She is now reunited with her late great grandson Cory. Edna lived a very simply lifestyle where she enjoyed her camping, bingo, and spending time with her loving family. She loved to laugh and always wore a smile. Edna was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a caring friend. Her loving soul and generosity was contagious. She brought joy to the lives of everyone around her and she will be greatly missed by all. A service will be held for close friends and family on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2 pm at Graveside Cemetery, Creston North.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late LINDA POWER of Mooring Cove announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband, Jack of 51 years; son, Shane of Medicine Hat, AB; daughters, Ruth Young of Stephenville, Jackie Power of Medicine Hat, AB, Tina Denty (Terry) of Medicine Hat, AB and Shelly Hackett (Jerry) of Wabush, Labrador; sister, Elizabeth Keough (Doug) of Parson's Pond; brothers, Richard Blanchard and Melvin Blanchard of Parson's Pond; 2 grandchildren: L.J. Young and Jerome Hackett; 1 great-grandson, Kaleb Young; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents, Walter and Emily Blanchard; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on a date and time to be announced. Cremation will follow with inurnment to take place at a later date, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. STACEY-BARLOW, CHERYL ANNE
(1972-2016)
Our cherished and beautiful Cheryl passed away with dignity and grace at her home in Oakville, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She leaves to mourn and celebrate her life her wonderful husband Greg, their special girls Sarah and Chelsea, her much adored parents Barry and Gladys Stacey, her parents-in-law Gilbert and Lorraine Barlow, her sister-in-law Christine and husband Loren Drotos, her amazing grandmother Annie Brennan as well as countless aunts and uncles from the Stacey-Brennan families, the McCormick family, numerous cousins (who often called her Aunt), her sister by heart Nicole Frew and many dear friends. Born and raised in Marystown, Newfoundland, Cheryl never forgot her roots. She left home to pursue studies at Dalhousie University, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1996 (Hon. Finance & Medalist). She completed her Doctor of Law (J.D) at University of Toronto in 1999. She spent her entire career with McMillan Law Firm. She was partner and co-chair of Financial Services and was known for her sincerity, loyalty, humor and sharp legal mind. Cheryl was recognized as one of the leading practitioners in her field from 2013-2017. She had a special interest in promoting and supporting women in the legal profession. In addition to her career, Cheryl had many passions and a zest for life that was hard to describe. She was an avid sports enthusiast with a deep love of all things Edmonton Oilers and New England Patriots. She loved to travel and experiment with food and wine from around the world. Cheryl was a people person extraordinaire. Everyone who met her commented on her warm and caring nature and she touched the hearts of many. She was devoted to Greg, Sarah and Chelsea and they brought so much joy to her life. She was never more alive than when she was surrounded by her large and spirited extended family and friends. She never lost that zest for life, despite her long struggle with breast cancer.The family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care and support provided by the medical team and other health professionals at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto and Dr. Lynne Benjamin and the Halton CCAC. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered. She was predeceased by her grandparents Michael Brennan, Alfred & Priscilla Stacey, Aunt Pamela Stacey, and cousins Robert Brennan, Hope Brennan and Jakob Clarke as well as Greg's grandparents, Thomas and Mary Elizabeth McCormick, and Gertrude and William Barlow.Visitation will take place at Wiseman's Funeral Home, Marystown on Sunday, October 23rd, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm for family only. Public visitation will be held Monday, October 24th, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. She was predeceased by her parents; Joseph and Sarah Pardy; Husband Angus Tibbo; Son Chesley Tibbo and daughter Judy Baker. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories daughter Ada Barnes (Don); fiance Roland Fudge; sisters Doris Noseworthy (Dexter), Ena Keeping (Reg); grandchildren Connie Barnes Scott (Brad and Raennah), Meena Tibbo (Doug), Steven Barnes (Nikki) and Chantal Tibbo (Dwayne); son-in-law Leroy Baker.
