The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown
and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

ADAMS, Archie
(August 13, 1954 - October 15, 2014)

It is with great sadness the family of Archie Adams of Ship Cove announces his passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on October 15, 2014 at the age of 60 years. Leaving to mourn mother Addie Adams; daughter Lori Munden (Dwayne) of CBS; grandson Godfrey; sisters Juantia Adams and Hazel Bemister (Aldon); brothers Stanley Warren (Cornelia), Hayward Adams (Pearl) and Clarence Adams (Cathy); nieces Barb, Goldie, Trina, Nancy and Cindy; nephews Bert, Corey and Chris plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by father Joseph. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Thursday 7-9pm family only; Friday 1-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service to take place from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ship Cove on Saturday at 10am with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. AYRES, BARRY L.
(1958-2014)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late BARRY L. AYRES of Fortune announces his passing at the Health Science Centre in St. John's, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the age of 56. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Lillian of 33 years; son Justin (Terria) of Sackville, NS; daughters Melanie Ayres (Norman Kinslow) of Port Aux Basques, and Robyn Ayres (Jason Quirke) of Fort McMurray, AB; brothers Willis (Cecilia), Robert (Laura), Gary, Travis (Deneen) and Jody (Kayla); sisters Ella Ayres (Dwayne Cheeke) and Sharon Ayres; 9 Grandchildren Bobbie-Lee, Dawson, William, Cayden, Paige, Mary-Raella, Nolan, Jackson and Chase; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by Parents Eli & Elsie Irene Ayres and brother Cecil. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, NL, on Wednesday, October 08, 2014, of Winterland, NL, at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Elsie, sons Tony, Winterland, and Fabian (Teresa), Calgary, AB, 4 grandchildren, Darian, Tristan, Ethan and Chloe Barrett; Brothers Percy (Eileen), St. John's, Robert (Annie), Red Harbour, Step brothers Gordon (Darlene), Eric (Vivian), Melvin (Rita), Ray (Diane), Step sisters Marina (Terry), Elsie, and Joy; Sisters in law Viola Senior, Marystown, Viola Senior, Winterland and Ella Senior, Spanish Room; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed away in the presence of his family at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Sunday October 5, 2014 Leonard John Bonnell of Little Bay East age 59 years. Predeceased by parents; parents Fred & Lillian Bonnell, brother Edgar. Parents in-law Bill & Violet Hillier and brother-in law Don, & grandparents. Leaving to mourn his wife Daphne (Hillier) of 38 years, children Darrel (Debbie), Susan (Mike), Nancy (Jason), & Reuben, grandchildren; Steven,Andrea, Erin, & Blake. Brothers & sisters Rita, Eric, Marie, Fred, Wallace, & Alfred. Nieces & nephews. Plus a large circle of extended family & friends. Remains resting at St. Hilda's Anglican Church Bay L'Argent on Monday October 06th at 7pm, then on Tuesday October 7th & Wednesday October 8th. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughter, Elizabeth (Eric Gagnon) of Williamstown, ON; sister, Dora Pittman of Creston North; 3 grandchildren: Samuel Murphy, Ryan Murphy and Shelby-Marie Gagnon; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Annie May Brake; wife, Agatha Brake; sister, Theresa Flynn and brother, Benedict Brake. Leaving to mourn wife Mary; sons Greg and Derek (Elizabeth); daughter Madonna Brenton; grandchildren Mark and Maria Brenton, Caitlin and Ayla Warren, Andrew, Jordan Olivia, Allison Pache; sisters Vera and Joan; brothers Jerry, Anthony Jr. , John, David and Kevin; special friend Randy Brown plus a large circle of other family and friends. Passed peacefully away on October 13, 2014, at the Blue Crest Nursing Home Grand Bank, Earl Lester Watts of Grand Bank in his 87th Year. Predeceased by parents; James & Mae Watts, brothers; Morgan, Bruce and John Watts. Sister-in law Thelma & a dear and loving Aunt Elsie Keating Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Mildred, daughter Lisa Smith (Terry), of Stephenville, 2 grandchildren; Kaitlyn Smith & Evan Smith (Tiffany). Brother-in law Raymond Rose (Jean), nephews; Ronald Rose (Pam), Randy Rose , and Morgan Watts Jr (Christa) . Nieces; Beverley Tornberg, and Nancy Watts Cormier (Paul). A close cousin Gordon Pardy. Also a large Circle of extended family and friends. Public visitation will take place at Warren's Funeral Home Grand Bank on Tuesday October 14, 2014 from 7pm-9pm, and again on Wednesday October 15th from 2pm - 4pm & 7pm -9pm. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday October 16, 2014 at 2pm from the Grand Bank United Church. Interment to follow at the Grand Bank United Church Cemetery.
