The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BRINSON, FLORA
Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, NL, on Friday, November 02, 2018, FLORA BRINSON, of Creston South, NL, in her 76th year. Leaving to mourn her loving children Shirley Molloy (Michael), Ancaster, ON, Irvie, Creston South, Myrtle Forbes (Robert), Burlington, ON, Don, Creston South, and Darlene Brinson (Morley), Red Harbour; 5 grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren; brothers Lorne Kenway (June), Marystown, Melvin Kenway (Marie), Marystown, Chris Kenway (Karen), Winterland, sisters Nellie Pike (Herbert), Lewins Cove, Joan Langer (Edward), Corner Brook; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Flora is predeceased by her husband John Jim, parents Lester and Ester Kenway and sister Sandra Dodge. Resting at Peninsula Funeral Home, on Sunday, November 4, from 7 - 9 pm, and Monday, November 5, from 1 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Faith and Hope Corps, Creston South, on Tuesday, November 06, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Creston South. BUGDEN, REGINALD MORGAN
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Reginald Morgan Bugden announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Centre on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the age of 84 years. Born in Burin, NL, Reg was the son of the late Chesley and Lillain Bugden. He was also predeceased by his sons Cecil and Shawn, siblings Rueben, Bert, Cecil, Jack, Chesley, Effie, Norman and Florence. He leaves to mourn with precious and loving memories his loving wife Florence of 64 years of Marriage; daughters Wanda and Violet, sons Roy (Theresa), Bert (Julie) and Chris (Rachael), grandchildren Kayla, Chloe, Brittany, Lisa, Corey, Roy, Michael, Amanda, Shawn, Jennie, Emma and Keiley; great grandchildren Dakota, Lily, Sam, Luke, Andrew, Leah, Ainsley, Sara, Isabella, Thomas, Samuel and Tyler; sister Adelaide Haskill plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 and Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 1-9 pm at Serenity Funeral Home in Burin, NL. BUNGAY, JOHN CHARLES
It is with great sadness that the family of John Charles Bungay of Little Bay East announces his death at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on November 12, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his dory mate and wife Emily of 51 years; daughter Peggy Scott (Glen); son William Bungay (Melanie); grandchildren Daniel Scott and Megan Bungay; sister Vida Barnes (Merrill) ; brothers Curtis Bungay (Eleanor) and Harvey Bungay; Also a special person his home care worker Christina Baker plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents John and Emeline Bungay; sisters Minnie and Shirley Bungay, Ethel Pardy, Myrtle Barnes and Marion Stone. Family will be accepting visitors Thursday from 3 - 8 PM . Funeral Service will take place from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Harbour Mille, Friday, November 16th at 1PM. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Dixon (Hickey), Mary Jane
Age 74, of West Chezzetcook, passed away on November 1, 2018. Born in Terrenceville, N.L. to the late James Hickey and Selina Skeffington. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Jackie), Joan, Bobby (Trisha), Deborah, Jeff (Shannon); her grandchildren, Kristin, Tracy, Kevin, Tricia, Kyle, Debra, Laura, Kaitlyn, Brooke, James and Ella; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Chase, Allie, Claire and Connor. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles (Ada), Patrick (Veronica) and Pius (Christine) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Annie and Francis and her brother, Robert. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 5th, at 11 a.m. in St. Anselm Catholic Church in West Chezzetcook with Rev. Gregory Agyeman presiding. Burial and reception to follow. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Cameron, the staff of 3 West at Dartmouth General Hospital, especially Victoria and Jessica, as well as her special friends, Elizabeth, Shelly and Amanda. It is with broken hearts that the family of the late SUSAN DRAKE of St. Lawrence announces her passing. Mrs. Drake passed away at the Carbonear Long Term Care Facility on November 6, 2018 at the age of 86. It is with broken hearts that the family of the late BERNARD DUCEY of Marystown announces his passing. Bernard passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 68. FOOTE, ANNIE
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late ANNIE FOOTE (nee Warren) of Creston South announces her passing. Annie passed peacefully away on November 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Wayne Foote, Paul Foote (Alice), Craig Foote, Dean Foote (Darlene) and only daughter, Yvonne Hilliard (Bill); 8 grandchildren, Brent Hilliard, David Hilliard (Kerry), Krista McNutt (Colin), Karla Youmans (Randy), Craig Fitzpatrick (Rekha), Marie Cashin, Sarah Foote and Julia Foote; 5 great-grandchildren, Annabelle Youmans, Kaylee Youmans, Jamilyn Youmans, Zander McNutt, Zoe McNutt, Sophia & Olivia Fitzpatrick; sister, Maisie Barter (Eric) plus a large circle of extended family and friends. It is with broken hearts that the family of the late RUBY HODDER of St. Bernard's announces her passing. Ruby passed away at her home in St. Bernard's on November 19, 2018 at the age of 76. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her; sons, Cecil Jr. (Maxine) of Paradise and Jeffrey (Colette) of Paradise; daughters, Margaret (John Myles) of Medicine Hat, Verna (Ken Bolt) of Bay L'Argent, Lillian Hodder (Robert Redmond) of Avondale, Sharon (Greg Fewer) of Marystown and Delores Pike (Craig) of Torbay; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren: brothers, Gerald Murphy (Lizzie) of Parker's Cove, Cecil Murphy (Gloria) of Parker's Cove, Doug Murphy (Lillian) of Parker's Cove and Gordon Murphy of Mount Pearl; sister, Daphne Parsons of Fort McMurray; sisters-in-law, Josephine Murphy of Parker's Cove, Donna Murphy of St. John's and Anne Murphy of Rushoon plus a large circle of extended family and friends. KENNEDY, KEVIN
It is with sadness the family of Kevin Kennedy of Port au Bras announces his death at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on November 1, 2018 at the age of 71. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories his wife of 44 years Sybil; daughters Jacqui Taylor (Colin) of Paradise and Allison Kennedy-Drake (Travis) of Fort McMurray, AB; the joys of his life his grandchildren Gina, Maria, Amelia and Reid; brother Tom (Elaine); sisters Mary, Josephine (Mike), Frances (Eugene), brothers-in- law John (Ida), George (Blanche) and Wayne (Lois), a large number of nieces and nephews and special friends. Predeceased by parents Richard and Rosanna; mother and father-in-law William and Alice Planke; sisters Helen and Emily and brother Robert. Family will be accepting visitors Saturday and Sunday from 1PM to 9PM. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin Monday, Nov. 5th at 11AM. MacLEAN, June Ellen
Age 75 of Faulkland Street, Pictou, passed away November 7, 2018 at home. Born in Burin, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Anne (Foote) Evans. June was a retired employee of Michelin Tire. A lover of all animals, she devoted much of her time to KARMA, caring for the homeless cats of Pictou. She spent many years providing them with food and shelter. June is survived by her son, Donald MacPherson (Terric Liu); daughter, Cheryl Hill; granddaughters, Leslie MacPherson, Mallory Hill and Stephanie Hill; sister, Joy Blackadar; brothers, Gary Evans (Vera) and John Evans; nieces, nephews, and many good friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald MacPherson; granddaughter, Miranda June Hill; and nephew, Timothy Wayne Fisher. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, with funeral to follow at 2 p.m. in McLaren Funeral Chapel, Pictou, with Rev. Mary-Beth Moriarity officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery. Leaving to mourn with loving and fond memories her husband Eric of 53 years of Grand Falls, daughters Della (Tom) of Brooks, AB and Donna (Tony) of Grand Falls-Windsor; sons Albert (Marilyn) of Grand Bank, Eric (Michelle) of Winnipeg, Paul (Evelyn) of Fortune and Wade (Paula) of Torbay; grandchildren Matthew of Gander, Michelle (Trevor) of Gander, Kimberley (Jordan) of Brooks, Michael (Gina) of Ft.
