The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

It is with deepest regret that the family of the late HAZEL BARTLETT of Grand Bank announces her passing on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the age of 71. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband Arthur of 44 years. Daughter: Lorraine (Douglas) Gordon of Windsor, ON; Sister: Marie Hicks of Musgrave Harbour; Brother: Gurshun (Eleanor) Mouland of Grand Bank; Sisters-in-Law: Ivy Mouland of Musgrave Harbour and Mary Harris of Grand Bank; Brother-in-Law: John (Joan) Bartlett of Fortune; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Brewer of Burin Bay announces his passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on November 11, 2017, at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Irene; daughters Leanne Hall (Patrick) of Brampton, ON and Tracey Sherwood (Marty) of Indian Mountain, NB; grandchildren Samantha Nodwell and Gordon Legacy; godchild Craig Foote; siblings Alice Mongrain, Norman Brewer (May) and Joan Power; special sister-in-law Mabel Simmons plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by Parents Ronald and Melita Vaters, sister Anna Brennan, brothers Hughie and Patrick , sister-in-law Alice. In keeping with Cyril wishes cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. WALSH, JAMES
It is with great sadness that the family of Captain Jim (James) Walsh of Marystown announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre at the age of 72 years. (No date given). Leaving to mourn loving wife Ellen; son Jimmy (Gail) of Garnish; daughter Janet (Patrick) of Red Deer, AB; grandchildren Christie and Jillian Walsh; sisters Theresa Baker (Jim) and Annunciata Scacchi (Tony); brothers Bill, Art (Ann Marie), Ron (Janice), Ralph (Agatha) and John (Wanda) plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by Granddaughter Nicole Kirby; brothers Derm, Eugene and Don and parents Elsie and Patrick Walsh. Funeral Mass to take place from Sacred Heart RC Church, Marystown , Monday, November 6th at 2pm and keeping with Jim's wishes cremation will follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.
There are no words that seem adequate enough to say thank you to everyone who expressed their sympathy during the loss of my beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a wonderful person and through the memories that he gave each of us, he will live on forever in our hearts. We would like to let everyone know that the donations we received will be going Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish Church and the Canadian Lung Association.
