The boats he called home were the Arctica and the Cape Roger. He married the love of his life, Sarah, in 1956. Together, they raised 3 beautiful children, Jim, Merrill and Pauline. They built their life together in Little Harbour East - a place Albert was so proud to call home. He loved being near the water and being surrounded by his precious family. He took great pride in being the first Fire Chief of the Little Harbour East - Harbour Mille Fire Hall. It was at the Fire Hall that him and Sarah enjoyed a good dance or two. He was a kind man and could often be found doing a crossword puzzle in the living room or making one of his many nightly phone calls. He also loved a good game of crib. Albert meant the world to so many people and he will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. The family would like to send special thanks and acknowledgements to the staff of the BPHCC and the Marystown Retirement Center. Your love and care for our father is appreciated and will be remembered for years to come. Special thank you to his home care worker, Sharon for her dedication to our father's health and well-being. MARSH, PAMELA (Nee Huddy)
May 2, 1953-May 19, 2024.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Marsh (née Huddy) Originally from Burin, Newfoundland where she lived with her incredible family, including her parents Archibald and Thurza, and beloved siblings, brothers Arch and Jim, and sister Beverly. Burin is also where she met the love of her life, Frank (predeceased). Pam called many places home. For many years she resided in Garnish, Newfoundland, where she started a family, giving birth to her treasured daughters, Erica and Allyson. She was actively involved in this, and every community she resided in.
During her time in Garnish, she helped found a Parent Teacher Association, run Brownies and Girl Guides, open a senior's home, and provide support on many political campaigns. Pam later moved to Torbay where she provided loving care to her mother and mother-in-law, while raising her daughters, and working as a medical transcriptionist. She and Frank later moved the family to Sudbury, Ontario, where they thrived building incredible friendships. It was during this time, in her early forties, that Pam decided to go back to school and become a Licensed Practical Nurse at Cambrian College, balancing the demands of an accelerated program with taking care of two daughters, and managing the social commitments that came with being married to the College's president. Determined to prove to herself that she had she was capable of accomplishing this rigorous academic challenge, Pam studied hard; her family could not have been prouder to see her walk across the stage at graduation.
When Frank passed away suddenly, the family returned to Newfoundland where she focused on ensuring her daughters were surrounded by love and support. Without question, Pam was truly one of the most incredibly loving and caring mothers that a person could ever ask for. While in Newfoundland she began spending her winters in Zephyrhills, Florida, where her group of friends continued to grow. Being someone that hated the cold, dark weather, her winters in Florida brought her great joy. The sunshine, golf games, dancing, and shopping trips filled her with endless happiness.
To make the trips to Florida easier, Pam moved to Halifax. Some years after this move she became bored of her self-imposed retirement, having given up on nursing after the passing of her husband. At age 60 she enrolled in the LPN Re-entry program at NSCC and a year later joined the nursing field again. She took so much pride in working at the Veterans Hospital, caring for patients in long term care, hearing their stories, giving them comfort and dignity in their final years. During the pandemic, Pam worked endless hours of overtime to help make sure that her patients were well taken care of. Because of this, we ask in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the QEII Foundation, specified to the Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Long Term Care Program.
Anyone that knew Pam, knew her for her strength, kindness, generosity, and love. She was quick to offer a hand, a laugh, or whatever it was that someone needed. She instilled these qualities in her daughters, and they will embody them daily to honour her memory. We ask that if she touched your life, that you do the same.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday May 25 at the Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest with Frank in Garnish, Newfoundland, the details of which will be provided in the coming weeks. To the friends and family in Newfoundland of our beautiful momma, Pamela Huddy-Marsh, we wanted to let you know that there will be a service and internment in Garnish at St Giles Church on Saturday, June 15th at 2 pm. Please share this information with folks who may wish to attend as I am sure I do not have everyone on Facebook.

Together they raised four children, Paul, Stephen, Sheldon and Heather. Levi was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was proud of his family and anyone who knew him knew this was no secret. His advice, support and words of encouragement will be missed by those who loved him most. Levi was selfless and this can be seen in the way he loved those around him, especially his grandchildren.
Levi had a zest for life and was known for his hard work and attitude that nothing was ever truly broken. His handyman skills were a core part of his character, as his business slogan read "If We Can't Fix It, It's Not Broken". Levi wore many hats through the course of his lifetime, he sailed the roughest seas, he was employed at Fishery Products International LTD for many years as a machinist, from there he expanded the opportunity to become an entrepreneur. In 1992 he launched Bonavista Fabrication and Repairs LTD. Some of the greatest moments of his career can still be seen in the Town of Bonavista today. Levi was a thrill seeker, a risk taker and determined to succeed. These characteristics carried forth in many aspects of his daily life, even to his last moments. Levi was often strong willed and stubborn at times, but also had the most enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. Clever and so full of endless knowledge, which came with a story he was often eager to share. The childhood stories were endless and the smiles that came with his memories will never be forgotten. The kindness that has been shared through the duration of his life has impacted many individuals, families and communities. He will be remembered for all the heart that he shared with his family, friends and all of those around him. He truly loved each and every one- if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly, but will always remain in our hearts forever. "Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean" Cremation has taken place, and in true Levi fashion, details for his Celebration of life will be shared in the coming days.

Mr Jimmy, as he was fondly called by many, was born March 2, 1930 at the beginning of the Great Depression and he lived his entire life in the community of Lawn. Blessed with loving parents and siblings, they shared an incredible bond that continued until his last day on earth. We all know that Aunt Anita and Aunt Kit are deeply saddened by the loss of their brother. What? Jim didn't have the liberty of a formal education, but he took that struggle and turned it into an opportunity to master many skills. He embarked on his life's journey by starting to work with the High Roads at the young age of 15 and then spent many years working underground at the mine in St. Lawrence, where he accumulated a treasury of stories which he loved to share with anyone who would lend an ear. He was a jack of all trades and worked hard all his life, taking on roles such as a carpenter, bricklayer, fisherman and plant worker. He was a man of unwavering principles and boundless determination. The epitome of hard work. He was revered for this remarkable work ethic and also for his tireless dedication to provide for his beloved wife, Edith, and their 14 children. His commitment to his family knew no bounds and his sacrifices served as a testament to his enduring love and selflessness. Married to his beloved Edith for nearly 70 years, their relationship exemplified the true meaning of love, partnership and companionship. Theirs was a love story for the ages, a bond that withstood the tests of time and adversity, serving as an inspiration to all who knew them. Beyond his role as a devoted husband and father and brother, he was a respected member of his community. His integrity, kindness, and generosity endeared him to all who had the privilege of crossing his path. Whether lending a helping hand to a neighbour in need, risking his own life to save another or becoming the unofficial foreman on every job site he visited, he still had time to offer words of wisdom to those seeking guidance. Jim touched countless lives with his warmth, compassion and humour. As we mourn the loss of our Dad, let us celebrate the profound legacy he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his remarkable spirit. Rest in peace, Dad. Your journey may have come to an end, but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
