It is with broken hearts that the family of the late RODNEY SLANEY of St. Lawrence announces his sudden passing. Rodney passed away at his home in Paradise on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the age of 54. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Barbara Doyle of 19 years; son, David of Paradise; grandchildren, David and Skyler; mother, Therese Slaney; sisters, Christina Perrot (Jacques), Lisa Loder (Jim), Sonia Slaney (Andy), and Claudia Brockerville (Frank); brothers, Gary Slaney and Rudy Slaney (Karen); sister-in-law, Valerie Slaney; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, inlaws, relatives and friends, especially his "Armour Family". He was a devoted husband to his wife Barbara, of whom he adored, a proud father to his son David, and a fabulous Poppy to his grandson, David and granddaughter, Skyler. Rodney had a heart of gold. He was a kind, gentle man who loved life and family. He was in his glee when he was on his back deck barbequing for family gatherings and sharing his love of watching concerts from his prize collection.
