The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour.
All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

(December 5, 1947 - May 31, 2011)

Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 Roy Best of Marystown, age 63 years. Predeceased by father, Ray Best. Leaving to mourn: mother, Pearl Best; 3 children, Jason (Sandra), Colin and Paula; 5 grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Carl) Rose of Grand Bank. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank, on Tuesday from 7pm - 9pm, and Wednesday 10am - 12pm; 2pm - 4pm; 7pm - 9pm. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday at 2pm from St. Albans Anglican Church, Grand Bank. Interment to follow at St. Albans Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Albans Church Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

BLANCHARD, Patrick W.
(March 17, 1947 - May 26, 2011)
Passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank, on Thursday, May 26, 2011, Patrick W. Blanchard of Fortune, age 64 years. Predeceased by daughter Kim, Parents, Michael & Melissa Blanchard, Brothers Michael & Myles. Leaving to mourn: Wife Dinah, daughter Melissa (John) Peddle of Mount Pearl, sons Marcel of Fortune and Patrick(Noreen) of Edmonton; 6 grandchildren; sisters Janet (John) Robinson of Cox's Cove, Ethel (Dave) Earle of Pasadena, Eva (John) Hynes of Ontario; brothers Tony (Rita) of Irish Town and Brian (Christine) of Cox's Cove; sisters-in-law Susan (Alvin) Carter of Whitbourne, Juanita (Bill) Skinner of Fortune; brothers-in-law John (Rita) Durnford of Burgeo, Arch (Theresa) Durnford of Burgeo, Hubert (Joanne) Durnford of Francois and George (Connie) Durnford of Fortune. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Neal Buffett and Rev. Lochleigh Fiander from All Saints Anglican Church Fortune at 2pm, on Sunday, May 29th. Interment followed at All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Fortune. Organist was Henrietta Pope. Pall Bearers were: George Durnford, Tony Blanchard, Brian Blanchard, John Durnford, Bill Skinner and David Earle.

HALEY, Mercedes Rose
(April 2, 1938 - May 3, 2011)
Passed peacefully away at the Grand Bank Health Centre on May 3, 2011, Mercedes R. Haley, aged 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 52 years, William, 9 children, Annie (Don), Bridget (Stephen), Bernard (Jackie), Gerard (Charlotte), Theresa (Jerry), Bill (Darlene), Joe (Collette), Mary (Gerry) and Angela (Bill), 20 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother Cecil (Caroline) Lockyer, sisters, Melinda (Clem) Benteau, Rita (Peter) Parsons and Evelina Fitzpatrick, as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Bridget and Joseph Lockyer, brothers George, Peter James and sister Philomena Stacey. Resting at her late residence in Lamaline after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4. Passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Sunday, May 29, 2011, Mabel Handrigan of Grand Bank, age 96 years. Predeceased by husband Clarence, son Lloyd and sister Janet Penwell. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Jean, daughters Kay Riggs (Basil), Red Harbour, Cindy Joyce, Fort McMurray, Tammy Keats (Willie), Paradise; grandchildren Kelly, Aimee, Christopher and Samantha, great grandchildren Rielly, Kasey, Meagan, and Patrick; Sister Ida Wiscombe, Creston South; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Bill was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth, Richard and Maxwell Joyce and his sister Della Wiscombe. Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank, on Saturday, May 7, 2011, Elsie Winnifred (Winnie) Prior of Grand Bank, age 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, Isaac, in 1989. Leaving to mourn, sons John (Denise) of St. John's, Donald of Balirmore, Alberta, Reginald (Daisy) and Robert (Marlene) both of Grand Bank, and daughter Nancy (Gerry Fairfax) of Calgary, Alberta; ten grandchildren: Clayton, Tyson, Shannon, Joshua. Erica, Jessica, Christopher, Victoria, Mitchell, and Kyle; and four great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Tim Graham from St. Albans Anglican Church Grand Bank at 2pm on Monday, May 9th. Interment followed at St. Albans Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Velma Stewart. Passed peacefully away May 16, 2011, at Woodford's Comfort Manor, Holyrood cherished mother and Nan, Evelyn Rose of Burin age 84 years. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her wonderful life Sons Robert (Brenda), Sean (Brenda) and Max (Joann); Daughters Maureen Brenton (Onslow), Anne Battcock (Garry), Paula and Della; Beloved grandchildren Carla Pella (Derek), Nadia (fiancé' Eddie Hynes), Ceara Brenton, Mark Battcock, Sarah Battcock (fiancé Mutema Pittman), Heather Rose, Gina Rose and Kiana Rose; many nieces and nephews; sister Imelda White of Oakville, ON and Mary Power (Martin) of St. John's; her dear friend Elsie Rennie, Burin; her friends and neighbours in Burin and the loving caregivers at Woodford's Comfort Manor, Holyrood.
