The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BANFIELD, MINNIE E.
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late MINNIE E. BANFIELD of Garnish announces her passing. Minnie passed away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's on Monday, March 23, 2020 at the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Cedric Banfield (Faye) of Garnish, and Garry Banfield (Ruby) of Garnish; daughter, Edna Carter (Jason) of Winterland; 5 grandchildren, Corey Banfield (Krista), Trina Murphy (Larry), Jocelyn Banfield, Candice Savoury (Chris), and Brooke Carter; 7 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Cohen, Liam, Madison, Mackenzie, Farryn and Noah; brother-in-law, John Butler of Ontario; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Minnie was predeceased by her husband, William George Banfield; and sisters, Beulah Grandy, Myrtle Skeard and Edna Butler. Due to the current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 a private family service and burial will take place. BARNES, HENRY
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late HENRY BARNES of Grand Le Pierre announces his passing. Henry passed away at his home in Grand Le Pierre on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 62. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his mother, Margaret Barnes of Grand Le Pierre; sisters, Judy Clarke (John Joe) of Marystown, Gloria Kearley (Aloysius) of Terrenceville, and Ruth Phillips (Eric) of Brooks, AB; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. BARRY, JOAN MARIE
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late JOAN MARIE BARRY of Paradise formerly Petite Forte, announces her sudden passing. Joan passed away at her home in Paradise on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the age of 42. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her son Thomas Barnes (Tory) of Paradise; parents, Johnnie and Sheila Barry of Petite Forte; grandmother, Florence Barry of Petite Forte; sister, Melissa Barry-Hann (Lionel) of Paradise; brothers, Casmir Barry (Faye) of Petite Forte and Jonathan Barry (Krystle) of St. Phillips; nephews, Jesse, Noah, Kyle, Kasey, Blake, Kade and Evan; godmother, Debbie Smith of Petite Forte; godfather, George Power of Petite Forte; plus a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. BOLGER, MARION
It is with great sadness the family of Marion Bolger of Burin announce her passing at the US Memorial Health Centre, St. Lawrence at the age of 92 years. She leaves behind her loving sister Kathy Moulton; nieces and nephews Lenore, Craig, Betty, Bobby, Connie, Chad, Sheila, Joan, Marion, Kevin, Jim, Amy, Cathy, Wayne, Billy, James, Howie, Heather, Dorothy, Brian, Greg, Gary, Glenn, Carolynn, Denece & David plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband George Bolger, parents Mary & Herbert Dimmer, step-father Alphonsus Antle, sisters Margaret Walsh & Betty Roberts, brothers Tom Dimmer, Howard Dimmer, Felix Dimmer, Peter Dimmer, Reg Dimmer and Herb Dimmer. In keeping with Marion's wishes cremation has taken place.Due to the CoVid19 pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. It is with broken hearts that the family of the late NANCY JANE BRADY of Point May announces her passing. Nancy passed away at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the age of 71. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her; sons, Shane Parsons (Nancy) of Eastport, Joshua Brady (Roberta) of Grand Bank, Jeffrey Brady (Sugar) of Scarborough, Jeremy Brady (Cindy) of Scarborough, and Michael Strickland (Amanda) of Grand Bank; daughter, Jennifer Strickland of Grand Bank; 5 grandchildren, Jordan, Luke, Stephen, Zachary, and Jacob; brothers, Sam Hatcher (Cathy), David Hatcher (Edith), and Bill Hatcher (Linda); sister, Gladys Butler; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. DOLIMOUNT, PEARL
It is with immeasurable sorrow that we announce the passing of Pearl Dolimount, 85, of Grand Bank, NL. She leaves behind her adoring husband of 65 years, Frank Dolimount, her children, Gail (Gord) Cole, Smithers, BC, her son, John (Debbie) Dolimount, Woodstock, NB, four grandchildren, Sheri (Matt) Maillot, Kristi (Leland) Hovland, Kaitlyn (Phil) Sisk and Kiah Dolimount, five great grandsons, Joey, Tommy, Theo and Jacob Maillot, Lincoln Sisk and one great granddaughter, Sarah Maillot. Also survived by her siblings, William Clarke, Naomi Meadus, Elizabeth Harnum and Emmie (Art) Miller, her sisters-in-law, Ann King, Maude Welsh, Ethel (Jim) Brown. She was predeceased by sister Ethel and her parents Wallace and Mary Clarke. She was blessed with many loving and wonderful nephews and nieces across the country. She had cherished friends from coast to coast that she kept in contact with on a regular basis. Without diminishing our love and appreciation for Mom's many incredible friends, we would like to give special thanks to Loretta Barnes for her friendship, kindness and care that she gave to our Mom for over 40 years. GAULTON SR., KEVIN
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late KEVIN GAULTON SR. of Marystown announces his passing. Kevin passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the age of 88. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Mildred of 15 years; sons, Kevin Gaulton Jr. (Nora) of Marystown, and Mike Gaulton (Yvonne) of Marystown; daughter, Dorothy Lambe (Cyril) of Marystown; 3 grandchildren, Gavin Gaulton (Veronica), Brittany Andrews (Stephen), and Kaitlyn Lambe; sisters, Annie Senior (Baxter) of Red Harbour, and Carmel Gaulton of Trepassy; brothers, Ed Gaulton (Linda) of Placentia, Jonas Gaulton (Marg) of St. John's, Albert Gaulton (Helen) of Parker's Cove, and Art Gaulton (Alice) of Parker's Cove; plus a large number of family, step-children, and friends. It is with broken hearts that the family of the late MELVIN HILLIER of Grand Bank announces his passing. Melvin passed away at his home in Marystown on March 3, 2020 at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his mother, Caroline Hillier of Grand Bank; son, Melvin Hillier Jr. of Cold Lake, AB; daughter, Michelle Kelly (Rod) of Little Bay; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Emma, Alexandria, Katelyn, and Melvin; brothers, Norman Hillier (Diane), Ron Hillier (Eugenia), and Tony Hillier; sister, Elizabeth Burt (Bruce); plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Passed away tragically at English Harbour East, NL, on Thursday, March 26, 2020, DAVID TODD KEARLEY, of English Harbour East, in his 46th year. MCKNIGHT, MARJORIE
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late MARJORIE MCKNIGHT of Marystown announces her passing. Marjorie passed away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the age of 90. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Al Lewis (Diane Brown) of Little Bay, and Ed Lewis (Madge) of Little Bay; daughters, Colette Penney (Allan) of Ontario, and Brenda Farrell (John) of Little Bay; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; plus a large number of family, friends and the wonderful staff at the Marystown Retirement Center. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Alvin McKnight; her parents, Alphonsus and Mercedus Brake; her daughter, Joanie; sister, Nora Martin; and daughter-in-law, Marion. Cremation to take place. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his brother, Joseph Walsh (Sally) of Marystown, and special brother Gary Walsh along with Gary's homecare workers of Marystown; sisters, Linda Burbridge (Edwin) of St. John's, and Carol Ann Kelly (Neil) of Calgary; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Walsh; brothers, Don and Kevin Walsh; and sister-in-law, Joanne. As per Brian's wishes cremation will take place.
