The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BUGDEN, BEATRICE GRACE
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late BEATRICE GRACE BUGDEN formerly of Epworth & St. Lawrence announces her passing. Grace passed away at St. Luke's Nursing Home in St. John's on March 22, 2019 at the age of 84. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Harold (Vivian) Bugden of St. Lawrence, and Calvin (Gail) Budgen of Mount Pearl; daughter, Dorothy (Cyril) Grant of CBS; 8 grandchildren, Jason Clarke, April (Teddy) Edwards, Alison (Colin) Thistle, William Bugden (Shannon Drake), Lisa Grant (Andrew Holloway), Michael Grant (Marissa House-Denine), Marc Bugden (Kaitlyn Butler) and Ryan Bugden; great-granddaughter, Delilah Holloway, who lit up her life; sister, Winnie (Harry) Hartlin of Dartmouth, NS; sister-in-law, Mae Pitcher; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Grace was predeceased by her parents Matthew & Winnifred Pitcher; husband, William Bugden; twin sister, Ruth Mitchell; sister, Edna Hollett; and brothers, Dan and Joseph Pitcher. A special mention to the wonderful staff and friends from the Karwood Retirement Centre and St. Luke's Nursing Home. The Bugden Family will be accepting visitors at PENINSULA FUNERAL HOME, Creston South on Saturday, March 23rd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, March 24th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00pm; and Monday, March 25th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service will take place at the United Church, Lewins Cove on Monday, March 25th at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Epworth. CHARD, RAYMOND
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late RAYMOND CHARD of St. Lawrence announces his passing. Raymond passed away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Center in St. Lawrence on March 28, 2019 at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his loving wife Madeline of 62 years; son, Bill Chard (Kim) of Courtney BC; daughters, Theresa Slaney (Vic) of St. Lawrence, Barb Chard of St. Lawrence, Debbie Chard (Brian O'Rourke) of Prince George BC, and Rita Feltham (Kerry) of Ajax ON; 12 grandchildren, Vicki, Billy, Julia, Cassie, April, Holly, Matthew, Crissy & Gordie, Eric, Kevin and Steven; 6 great-grandchildren, Austin, Kathryn, Lexie, Gracie, Joey and Mason; brothers, Bob Chard (Daphne) and Fred Chard (Myrtle); sisters, Shirley Peckhan and Alma Craddock; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Clarke of Port au Bras announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on March 11, 2019 at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories mother Frances Clarke; son Jamie of Burin; daughter Lisa Clarke (Jimmy Abbott) of Burin; grandchildren James and Brandy; special nephew Melvin Nurse (Juanita) of Marystown; sisters Leca Pike (Sidney) of Burin, Geraldine Hooper (Walter) of Marystown and Brenda Lickoch (Edward) of Alberta; brothers Keith Clarke of Port au Bras and Herb Clarke (Adeline) of Port au Bras plus a large circle of nieces and nephews and other family and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late TERENCE FLEMING of Point May announce his passing at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the age of 87. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; sons, James (Dawn) of Grand Bank, NL, Patrick (Valerie) of Point May, NL; daughters, Darlene Hewitt (Maurice) of Brooks, AB, Donna Kelly (Robert) of Goulds, NL, Connie Fleming of St. John's, NL, Rowena Strickland of St. John's, NL; brothers, Harold Fleming of Nova Scotia, Raymond Fleming (Gladys) of Allan's Island, Thomas Fleming (Marg) of Ontario, Mike Fleming (Elaine) of Port au Port; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by wife, Bertha; parents, Lawrence and Mary Ellen Fleming; brother, Ben Fleming; sisters, Rita Cousins, Marjorie Simmons. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son, Russell (Grace Power) of Grand Beach, NL; son-in-law, Jerry Goodyear of Marystown, NL; 3 grandchildren, Andrew Follett, Bryton Follett, Perry Goodyear; 1 great-granddaughter, Robyn Goodyear; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Merrill Follett; parents, Herbert & Elizabeth Hollett; daughter, Viola Goodyear; brother, Gerald Hollett; daughter-in-law, Holly Follett; and sister, Maggie Belle Hollett. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Todd (Catherine) of Burin and Hughie (Maura) of Winterland; daughter Gina Foote (Craig) of Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren Shauna (Evan), Jenna (Lucas), Robbie (Allie) and Riley (Dani); brother Harold Foote (Rose) of Burin; sisters Lillian Fitzpatrick of Burin, Jean Oldford (Winsor) of Elliston, Sandra Pike (Kenny) of St. John's, Judy Brenton (Frank) of Lewin's Cove and Goldie Preziosi (Eric) of Kamloops, BC and brother-in-law Max Lambert Toronto, ON plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. It is with broken hearts that the family of Rob Power announces his passing at the Queen Elizabeth ll Hospital in Grand Prairie, AB at the age of 47 years on March 2, 2019. Left to mourn with a lifetime of memories his loving parents Bob and Maureen Power of Burin; sister Lynn Pond & brother-in-law Jason Pond and precious niece Sarah plus a large circle of relatives and many friends . Rob was predeceased by his grandparents Mike and Carrie Grant, Bill and Bride Power and Madeline Power and Vera and Jack Tremblett. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his son, Mark (Susan) of Lewisporte; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Andrew; sister, Marina (Paul) of Halifax; brothers, Roy (Sheila) of Milltown, Wayne (Gail) of Port Aux Basques, and Larry (Crystal) of Oromocto, NB.; brother-in-law, Clayton Goods (Mildred) of Marystown; his church family; his nieces & nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.
