It is with great sadness the family of John Patrick Antle of Mortier announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on March 10, 2018 at the age of 57 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Annie of 38 years; mother Emily Antle; sisters Mary McNeill (James), Patsy Delaney (Dan), Nora Antle (Austin), Sheila Antle, Donna Picco (Paul) and Prissie Taylor (Darryl); brothers Dominic Antle (Theresa), Walter Antle (Sylvia), Leonard Antle (Sandra), Philip Antle (Darlene), Gerard Antle (Joline), Eugene Antle (Lynn) and Kevin Antle (Sherry); mother-in-law Matilda Green, sisters-in-law Lexie Antle(Adrian), Ida Green (Jody), Maxine Abbott (Gord), Sarah Antle; brothers-in-law Enos Green (Michelle), Malcolm Green (Claudette) and Kevin Green plus a large circle of family and friends. COVIN, PHOEBE HELEN
COVIN, Phoebe Helen
, 87, Sackville passed away peacefully at Northwood Centre on March 20, 2018. Born in Grand Beach, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland on September 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Keeping. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family. She was also a member 50s Club in Lower Sackville and loved to attend regular card plays and events. She was predeceased by loving husband of 61 years Roy Joseph Covin; and brother, George Anstey. Phoebe and Roy spent many wonderful moments fishing, camping and berry picking. The biggest joy for both of them was their little Shih Tzu, Bailey He was the highlight of their world as they grew old together. Phoebe is survived by her 5 children, daughter Judy (Darrell Grimm), Middle Sackville, Wayne, Lawrencetown, Douglas (late Marlene) , Dartmouth, Michael (Connie), Beaver Bank, Christopher (Lorraine), Sackville, sister Jessie (Bill) Hollett, Grand Beach, NL. She was a very proud grandmother of nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Phoebe will be forever loved and remembered by her loving family and many friends. We all will be reunited in Heaven's Kingdom. Visitation and a time of fellowship will be held Friday, March 23, 2018, from 11am to 1pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. HICKEY, MARY (nee Lambe)
November 16, 1923 - March 26, 2018

Heaven lit up on March 26, 2018 as the bright light apppeared through the sky our mom was ready to go on her final journey and reunite in the sky with her parents: Mary & Ambrose Lambe, 2 daughters: Mary & Geraldine, 2 sons: Stephen & Richard, never ending love of her life her husband Alex, grandson James, son in-law: Charlie Parrott & Tolson Stanley, brothers: Bob (Marjorie), Bill (Sis) & brother in-law Andrew Manning & her confidant Barb Hilliard. Surrounded by her loving children we said our good byes to a kind, caring and gentle lady who was a legend. Mom was born in Lawn November 16, 1923 and left Lawn at the age of six and was raised in Placentia by her grandmother and the Hilliard family who held a special place in her heart. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are partner Pearl Cumben of 11 years; sons, Geoffrey (Natasha) of Brooks, AB, Percival of Brooks, AB, Jason (Jenny) of Sarnia, ON; sister, Carletta Small (Bruce); brothers, Percival (Pamela), twin brother Joseph (Sandra); 2 grandchildren, Brayden & Jayda; father, James Warren plus a large circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte; grandparents Harry & Carletta Grandy and Albert & Jane Warren. At Bruce's request, cremation has already taken place. WHITTLE, JESSE AUGUSTUS
Whittle, Jesse Augustus
, age 91, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2018 in Oakwood Terrace. Born in Grand Bank, NL, he was a son of the late William and Susie (Rose) Whittle. Jesse worked at HMC Dockyard as a marine pipefitter for 35 years, retiring in 1987. In 1974, he achieved his black belt in Karate and went on to achieve his 2nd degree in another style. He was a life-long member of the Salvation Army, serving as a band member for 70 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Jesse and his wife Dinah, camped at BeechBrook Campground for 35 years. He was a long-time gym member of Cole Harbour Place where he was loved by all. He will be remembered for his wit, strength and pride. Jesse is survived by his sons, William "Billy" (Joyce), Dartmouth, Edwin (Paul), Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, William (Melanie) Collier, Christopher Whittle, Stephanie (Philip) Colley, Sherry Collier; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by extended family. Jesse was predeceased by his wife Dinah (Kendall); daughter Jessie Collier; sisters Frances Hickman, and Reta Matthews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Sunday March 25th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. The funeral service will take place at 2pm on Monday March 26th in the funeral home chapel, Majors Sharon and Kirk MacLeod officiating with a reception to follow. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oakwood Terrace Recreation Department. Special thanks to the staff of Unit D, volunteers, family members and residents of Oakwood Terrace who showed Jesse love and compassionate care.
