It is with great sadness that the family of Albertha C. Bennett of Port au Bras announces her passing at U.S. Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories sons Gordon of Mississauga, ON, Jeffrey of Port au Bras and Peter (Tina) of Brooks, AB; daughters Marjorie Lundrigan (Eric) of Little St. Lawrence, Debbie Penney (Frank) of Burin Bay Arm, Sheila Reeves (Eric) of St. Lawrence and "special daughter" Shannon Power (Corey) of St. John's; grandchildren Hughie, Ernie, Erica, Stephanie, Steven, Christopher, Donald, Charity, Brianna and Nathan; great grandchildren Ashton, Aiden, Maria, Toni, Tori, Avery and Dalton; sisters Olive, Marie Baker (Clyde), Sharon Moores (Charlie), Marlene Hollett (Sammy), Marion Pardy (Bill) and Daphne Pardy; brothers Ephriam Pardy, Clarence Pardy (Rosie) and Harvey Pardy (Madonna) plus a large circle of other family and friend. It is with great sadness that the family of Cecil Norman Bugden announces his sudden passing at his residence, Salmonier at the age of 57 years. He left this world as he lived in this world quietly and gently. George J. Caines (aka JK), age 76, on March 20, 2017, of Fortune, passed peacefully away after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by daughters, Sandra (age 46) and Maria (age 4 months). Leaving behind with broken hearts but loving memories wife Liz; daughter Cathy (Ken); son Dave (Donna); son-in-law Morley (Darlene); Grandchildren Melissa (Kevin), Stephanie (Steve), Matthew (John), Jeffery, Courtney, Nick, Megan (Brad), Maitlin and Ellen; Great-grandchildren Payton, Charlotte, Jada, Chase and Rayah, and a wide circle of family and friends. Always loved and forever missed. PADDLE, HAROLD RAYMOND
It is with great sadness the family of Harold Raymond Paddle of Red Harbour announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on March 16, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Harold Raymond Paddle was born on September 9, 1938 at Port Elizabeth, NL to Bertram and Mary Paddle. Harold married Ruth (Moulton) at the age of twenty. They had five children; Gary, Elaine, Kathy, Roger and Terry. Eight grandchildren; Kayla, Bradley, Brandon, Logan, Lauren, Kathy, Cassandra and Candace. Six great-grandchildren Hailey, Cameron, Chase, Emily, Susan and Daisy. Harold and Ruth celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on February 21, 2017. Harold worked on the Great Lakes in his younger years, he worked in retail for 9 years the remainder of his working years he was a fisherman. He loved to play guitar and sing gospel music. He recorded 4 gospel C.D.'s. He gave his heart to the Lord on November 2005. He was an active member of the United Church in Red Harbour. He will be forever loved by his wife Ruth, children , grandchildren and great- grandchildren .
