With deepest regret the family of William "Bill" Gordon
Thomas announces his passing on March
03, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy
illness. Born on February 04, 1944 in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. He worked
for the Canadian Coast Guard until his retirement in 2008. He was an
avid dart player, bowler, loved his Westerns and his hockey (Toronto
Maple Leafs). He also belonged to the Adanac Association. He was the
son of the late Charles and Olive Thomas. He will be sadly missed by
his wife, Linda (McSorley) Thomas; three daughters, Barbara Wright (Chris),
of Pocologan, NB Lisa Bouchie (Trevor), of Hampton, NB and Cherie Wills
(Brian); brother, Isaac Thomas (Phyllis), of St. John's, NL; three sisters,
Ethel Burfitt (Bill), of Grand Bank, NL, Eileen Bonnell (Garfield), of
Toronto, Ont. and Emily May Bradley, Stephenville, NL; six grandchildren,
Christina (Derek), Christopher, Michael, Jessica, Jonathan and Adrian;
special brother-in-law, Jim May (Carole); special aunt, Dossie Evans;
as well as, several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gordon and sisters,
