It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Antle of Burin, NL announces her peaceful passing at her daughters residence, Burin on Sunday June 25, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories sons Wayne (Heather) of Fox Cove, NL, Jimmy (Maxine) of Port au Bras, NL; daughters Kathleen (Ross Drake) of Marystown, NL, Jackie (Howard Power) of Mortier, NL, Trudy (Brian Corcoran) of Burin, NL, Sandra (Greg Rogers) of Marystown, NL, Michelle (Rob Green) of Burin; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Rita Keywork (Ray) of New York, US, brothers Alex Stapleton (Geraldine) of Marystown, NL, John Stapleton (Pearl) of Marystown, NL, Robert Stapleton (Gertrude) of Mount Pearl, NL plus a large circle of nephews, nieces and other family and friends. EDWARDS, JOHN AUGUSTINE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOHN AUGUSTINE EDWARDS of Lord's Cove announces his peaceful passing at U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre in St. Lawrence on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the age of 78. He was born June 3 1939 in Lawn, NL, the son of the late John Edwards and Charlotte (Slaney) Edwards. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife, Anita, of 54 years; his daughter, Charlotte (John) O'Leary; his son, Francis Edwards; his brothers, Raphael (Joanne) Edwards and Walter Edwards; sister, Marie (Joe) Strang. He was predeceased by his brothers, Reginald (Sue) Edwards, Alphonse (Viola) Edwards, Robert (Helen) Edwards, Edward (Vera) Edwards, Eric (Audrey) Edwards, Patrick Edwards and Randall Edwards. He will be greatly missed by all his nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that the family of the late MAXWELL STRICKLAND of Fortune announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Monday, June 26, 2017, at the age of 77. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife, Edna of 56 years; sons, Guy Strickland of the Cayman Islands and Gary Strickland of Ontario; daughters, Cindy MacIsaac (Wayne) of Clarenville, Solonge Strickland (Partner, Derrick Guy) of Clarenville and Teena Miller (Jeffery) of Ottawa; brothers, Jim Strickland (Dianne), Dixon Strickland (Georgina) of Fortune and Ron Strickland (Bernie) of Allan's Island; sister-in-law, Solonge Hillier (Henry) of Mount Pearl; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents, Garfield and Grace Strickland; sister, Renee Strickland. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 29th, at 2:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Marystown. Inurnment will follow at the Jehovah's Witness Cemetery in Grand Bank.
