The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BARNES, Emma Martha
(May 9, 1913 - June 5, 2012)
Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, Emma Martha Barnes of Grand Bank, age 99 years. Predeceased by husband Abram John and sons Gary & George. Leaving to mourn: daughters: Betty (Lindsay), Dianne (Gerald), Meta (Harry); sons: Max (Frances), John (Linda); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; also a circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 pm - 4 pm; 7 pm - 9 pm. Funeral Service to be announced later. Donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, NL, on Sunday, June 24, 2012, CLARENCE GERALD CLARKE, in his 67th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Anne, son Fred (Cathy), Fort MacMurray, step daughters Rosalind Butler (Ross), New Brunswick, Karen Loughlin, Topsail, 6 grandchildren Bradley and Brandon Clarke, Keegan and Olivia Morris, and Jack and Emma Butler, mother Hannah Clarke, Marystown, sisters Edna Adams (Morley), Burin, Geraldine Bennett (Wade), New Brunswick, niece Carla Hillier, Burin, his extended family, the members of the Hooper family; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Alfred & Ruth Savoury, wife Margaret, daughter Sadie, son Arthur and daughter-in-law Kathleen. Leaving to mourn daughters: Mary (Eugene), Georgie, Shirley (Morgan), Marilyn (Howard, Colleen (Junior), Ruth (Bill), sons, Clyde (Hazel), Wallace, Fred (Marjorie), Henry (Marlene), Kevin (Ann), Bruce (Ada), and Wayne. Daughter-in-law Jessie and son-in-law Bruce. Plus a large circle of grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Rick Marsh from Grand Bank United Church at 2 pm on Sunday, June 24th. Interment followed at Grand Bank United Church Cemetery. Organist was Betty Rogers.
