The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour.
All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BANFIELD, Winnifred Martha
(May 19, 1930 - June 7, 2011)
Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, Winnifred Martha Banfield of Grand Beach, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents, Charles and Susan Hiscock; husband Lloyd; 6 brothers, Charles, Jasper, Albert, Wallace, Eli and George; 6 sisters, Mary, Lillian, Dorothy, Lucy and Fanny; leaving to mourn: son Doug (daughter-in-law) Marilyn, grandchildren, Kayla (Matt), Krysta, Dylan. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation to take place. Visitation to take place at a date and time to be announced later. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Grand Beach Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

Passed away suddenly at her Home in Red Harbour, NL, on Tuesday, June 07, 2011, HELEN PHYLLIS BUTLER, at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn her loving Husband Clyde, Children Annie Barrett (Robert), Red Harbour, Alice Butler, Red Harbour, Loren Butler (Doreen), Red Harbour, Charlie Butler, Cawston, BC, Dianne Lockyer (Frank Murphy), Boat Harbour, Barry Butler (Helen), Bridgewater, NS, Susie Butler, Creston South, Loretta Mackenzie (Edward), Dartmouth, NS; 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Helen was predeceased by her parents Hedley and Annie Paddle, Parents in law Charlie and Sarah Butler, sister and brother in law Susie Belle and John Senior, nephew Wallace Senior, sister in law Alice Dicks and son in law Onslow Farewell. Passed peacefully at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Friday, June 30, 2011, Charley Byatt Cumben of Grand Bank, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents George and Elizabeth Cumben(Stone); wife Gertrude; son Albert; sisters, Annie Lee, Georgie Thornhill, Susie Thorne; brothers, Bert, Harry and Wilfred. Leaving to mourn: daughters, Elizabeth Bown husband (Ray); Pearl (Bruce); Joyce (Allan); 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Sarah Cumben; brother-in-law William Thornhill. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home on Friday from 2pm - 4pm; 7pm - 9pm. Saturday 10am - 12pm; 2pm - 4pm; 7pm - 9pm. GRANDY, Carl
Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John's, on Monday, June 13, 2011, Carl Grandy, of Bay L'argent, NL, in his 84th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 59 years, Aneta; sons: Roy (Ruby), Mount Pearl, Bill (Debra), St. John's; daughter Dorothy Pope (Curtis), Mount Pearl; 5 grandchildren: Krista, Karla, Victoria, Renee and Catherine and great-granddaughter Charleigh; sister Dorothy Vincent, Bay L'argent, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by son Elison, daughter Sharon, brother Robert Buglar and sister Violet. Resting at Hilda's Anglican Church, Bay L'argent, on Wednesday, June 15th, (from 2 PM), Thursday, June 16th, (all day), Friday, June 17th, (10 am - noon). The funeral service will be held at St. Hilda's Anglican Church, Bay L'argent, on Friday, June 17th, 2011, at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Anglican Church Cemetery in Bay L'argent. Predeceased by his wife Melinda, and parents Edgar and Emily Hillier. Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank, on June 24, 2011, Dora Ruth Rose of Grand Bank, age 74 years. Predeceased by husband Garfield and son Everett. Leaving to mourn: Daughter Judy (Dave) Osmond of Grand Bank; Son Cyril (Beverley) of Fortune; Daughter-in-law Elaine Rose of Grand Bank; Grandchildren Rhonda, Adam, Aaron, Ryan, Alison and Andrew; Great Grandchildren Austin and Addison; Sister, Margaret Engram of Fortune; Brothers, Roy (Nina) Dominie of Harbour Breton and Eli (Darlene) Dominie of Pool's Cove. Beloved husband of Margaret Jean "Peg" Stoodley. Dear father of Carl (Patti) Stoodley of Niagara Falls, Robert (Marianne) Stoodley of Barrie and Shirley (Rick) Bell of Listowel. Grandfather of Brian (Lena) Carlaw, Andrew Stoodley and Kimberly Stoodley all of Niagara Falls; Leeanne (Scott) Hunt of Orangeville; Edward Kennedy, Brad Kennedy (Lisa) and Thomas Kennedy (Fiona) all of Listowel. Great-grandfather of Ivy, Kiera, Nathan, Samantha, Owen, Lily and many other step great-grandchildren. Brother of Eleanor Grandy of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Eli Stoodley of BC and Raymond (Stella) Stoodley of Newfoundland. Brother-in-law of Bernice Smith of Saint John, NB, Dorothy Langille of Chilliwack, BC and Deborah Brando of Saint John, NB. Predeceased by one daughter Sandra Widmaier, one son John Eagles, two brothers Frank and Thomas Stoodley, sister-in-law Theresa Stoodley and brothers-in-law Charles and Robert Cook.
