, 90, Grand Bank, Nfld. passed away July 13, 2013 in Blue Crest Senior Home in Grand Bank Nfld. Born February 19, 1923 in Grand Bank, Nfld., she was a daughter of the late Margaret (Hynes) and Morgan Hickman. Beulah was predeceased by husbands William Bowser and John Ben Anstey; brothers Wilson Hickman and Morgan Hickman; sisters Jane Bowness, Edith Hickman, Ada Hickman, Margaret Hickman and daughter in law Glennis Bowser. Leaving to mourn sons Norman Bowser, Robert (Elinor) Bowser; step children May (Norman) Brewer, Clyde (Caroleann) Anstey, Ruby (George) Walters, Daphne (Tom) Martin; sister Eleanor (Lewis) Legge; sister in law Vina Hickman; grandchildren Wendy and Steven; three great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and also a large circle of other family and friends. A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday July 16 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth, Major Donna Howell officiating. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Passed peacefully away at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on July 24th, 2013, Hartley T. Green of Fortune, formerly of Rencounter West, Hermitage Bay, age 89 years. Predeceased by parents George and Edith Green; brother Ernest; sisters Lucy Oxford and Annie Green. Leaving to mourn: loving wife Leah and 6 children: Eileen Barnes (John deceased); Lucy Green, Claude Green (wife Marie); Joyce Hanham (Cluney deceased); Shirley Milligan (Bruce); Hartley Green JR. (Lorraine); sister June Short; sister-in law Eileen Meade; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at All Saints Anglican Church Fortune on Wednesday from 7 pm - 9 pm; then on Thursday from 2 pm - 4 pm; 7 pm - 9 pm. HARDIMAN, ALPHEAUS (ALF)
1929-2013

The family of Alpheaus Hardiman, 83, of Garnish, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland, announces his passing on Monday, July 8, 2013, in the QEII, Halifax, NS, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Garnish, NL, he was the son of the late George Hardiman and the late Mary Hannah (Baker). Alf loved spending time with his children and especially enjoyed his 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Alf was known affectionately by the great-grandchildren and their friends as the "Candy Man" as he always had candy in his pocket or under his pillow when he was bed-ridden. Alf's life was guided by his calling to the Salvation Army and he was a member of the Armdale Corps for over 30 years and the Garnish Corps for another 20 years. Alf leaves to mourn his daughters, Sadie (Tom), Sheila, sons, Rendell, Joey, Jerry and daughter-in law, Patricia, all of Halifax-Dartmouth, son, Wayne of Ottawa, his brother John (Jess), sisters Meta Grandy, Elizabeth Scott, Georgie Fizzard and Shirley Green (Wilfred) and his many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Alf was predeceased by his wife Olive in January, and his sister, Annie Marshall. A special thanks to Dr. Christy Bussey and the staff of 8-4 QEII. God Bless You All for the care you provided to our loved one. There will be a celebration of Alf's life at the Salvation Army Church, Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, on Thursday, July 11th, at 7:00 p.m. followed by visitation with the family from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Alf will be resting at the Salvation Army Citadel in Garnish on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 7 pm and all day on Sunday. Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, Margaret W. King of Lamaline, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband Myril. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 67 years, Murdock Sr., who she married on November 2, 1945; sons Eric (Olga) and Murdock Jr. (Karen); daughter Bernice and husband Albert Courtemanche; daughter-in-law Yvonne; grandchildren Kalee, Christine (Clint), Dwayne (Susan), Wendy (Joel), Amanda (Roger), Kevin (Wendy) and Derek (Kelly); great-grandchildren Olivia, Joshua and Ashtyn; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son John; parents Susie and Samuel Pardy; brothers Evan, Samuel, Jonas and George; sisters Mime Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth Pardy.
