The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown
and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

CLARKE, JACOB MICHAEL
2010-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late JACOB MICHAEL CLARKE of Terrenceville announces his passing at The Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, AB on Saturday January 8, 2011 at the age of 6.5 months. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Mommy Tara & Daddy Francois; Grandparents Jeanette Coombs & Leo Rideout of Terrenceville; Grandmother Cindy Clarke of Ontario; Grandfather William Brennan of Marystown; Uncles Nicholas & Michael; Great-Grandmother's Theresa Clarke, Sarah Ann Rideout, and Annie Brennan; Godfather Michael Coombs; Godmother Rita Hickey; plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by Auntie Jasmine Coombs; Great Grandparents Leo Rideout, Michael Coombs, Marion Coombs, and Michael Clarke. Resting and visitation to take place from his grandparents home in Terrenceville beginning Wednesday January 12th at 7pm; and Thursday January 13th. Funeral Servivce will take place on Friday January 14, 2011 at 12:00pm from his grandparents home in Terrenceville with cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted. It is with great sadness that the family of the late SHIRLEY EDWARDS of St. Lawrence announces her passing in the presence of her loving family at The Health Science Centre in St. John's on Wednesday January 12, 2011 at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children and grandchildren: Gary and wife, Barbara (Laura, Chad, Colin, Cathy, and Blaine) of St. Lawrence; Sharon and husband, Wayne Hebb (Chris in Korea, and Geoff) of St. John's; Wade and wife, Pauline (Kyla, Brent in Ottawa, and Jenna) of Goose Bay; Harry Jr. and wife Cindy (Megan in B.C., Jaime, and Chelsey) of St. Lawrence; Paul and wife Regina (Matthew, and Ellen) of St. John's. Also leaving to mourn great-grandchildren Natalie, Hala, and Lydia Parsons in Qatar; her sisters Edith Brown of Iroquois Falls, Millie Pike (Levi) of St. Lawrence; Many nieces and nephews; friends and residents of Meadowcreek Retirement Centre; and friend, Sylvia Healey. Predeceased by her husband, Harry (2006). Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave, on January 14th from 2-9pm. Visitation will also take place from St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, St. Lawrence on Saturday, January 15th from7-9pm and Sunday, January 16th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care on Saturday, January 22, 2011, Ethel Pardy of Harbour Mille, age 88 years. Predeceased by father and mother John and Emily Bungay; son Roger, son-in-law Onslow Baker, sisters Winnie and Shirley; Leaving to mourn: husband Jim, daughters Vivian Brady (Harry) of Fortune, Audrey of Harbour Mille, Ruth (Hiriam) of Winnipeg, Greta Miller of Grand Bank, son Carl (Aurine) of Hr. Shot, Nova Scotia, daughter-in-law Natalie Pardy of Courtice, Ontario; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, brothers Curtis (Eleanor) of Burgeo, Charlie (Emily) of Little Bay East, Harvey (Ruby) of Indian Bay; sisters Marion Stone of Fortune, Myrtle Barnes of Fortune, Vida (Merrill) of Harbour Mille. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Harbour Mille on Sunday, January 23rd. Date and time of Funeral Service to be announced later. PIERCEY, Wavey Maxine
(March 17, 1947 - January 26, 2011)
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, Mrs. Wavey M. Piercey of Fortune age 63 years. Predeceased by Father Willis Hiscock & Mother Hazel (Hiscock) MacDonald. One brother Seymour Hiscock. Leaving to mourn: husband Fred, of Fortune, daughter Trudy Harris (Leon) of Torbay, Three sons Wade (Rita) of Fortune, Boyd (Deanne) of Grand Bank, & Todd of Fortune. Two grandaughters, Jada and Haley and one grandson Ryan. Three brothers, Murdock (Grace) Hiscock of Fortune, Lorne (Ella) Hiscock of Lewisporte,and Willis (Linda) Hiscock of Oshawa, On. Two sisters Dinah (Cecil) Caines & Winnie Hiscock of Fortune. Stepfather Cyril MacDonald of Burgeo, one brother in law Merrill (Dawn) of Clarenville, Three sisters in law Nellie (Jim) Stanley of Clarenville, Madeline (Isaac) Masters and Sarah Hiscock of Fortune and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Fortune. Funeral Service to be held 2:00 PM. on Saturday January 29, 2011. Interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Fortune.
