It is with great sadness that the family of the late RITA M. ADAMS of Burin Bay announces her passing at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Roy (Helena) of Burin Bay, Stanley of Marystown, Terry (Denise) of Marystown, and Junior (Heather Stacey) of St. John's; daughters, Margaret Crocker of Creston South, Rose (Gerard) Bonnell of Marystown, Janet Adams of Burin, Alvina Adams (Jim Lundrigan) of Burin, Frances (Sandy) Strickland of Lewins Cove, and Mable Adams of Creston South; sisters, Edith (John) Green of Arnold's Cove, and Olive Barrett of St. John's; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of Stella Brown of Burin announces her passing at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the age of 97 years. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories daughters Marjorie Warren (John) of Arnold's Cove, Amy Brown of Burin; daughter-in-law Stella Brown of St. John's; grandchildren Gloria Slade (Ford) of Arnold's Cove, Chris Warren (Cathy) of Arnold's Cove, Joy Spurrell (Derrick) of Arnold's Cove, Tina Brown of Edmonton, AB, Jonathan Brown (Ainsley) of Toronto, ON; great-grandson Ryan Spurrell of Arnold's Cove; sister Effie Brown of Bonavista; and plus a large circle of other family and friends. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sisters, Mary Dominix (Charles), Louisa Hillier (Hedley), Mercedes Caines (Fred); brothers, James Caines (Cecilia), Roy (Thryphena) Caines, Raymond Caines, Andre (Marjorie) Caines; aunt, Louisa Dunne; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents, James and Stella Caines; brothers, Phillip, Michael and Thomas Caines; sister, Margaret; and nephew, Rodney Hillier. September 10, 1936 - February 19, 2017

Promoted to Glory from the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday February 19, 2017. Clyde Moore of Hamilton, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Mary (nee White). Loving father of Wanda of Hamilton, Clyde of Winnipeg and Cathy (David Millar) of Hamilton. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, Stacy, Zachary and Joshua. Brother of James (Ruby) Moore of St. John's NL and the late Howard (Barbara) Moore of Whitby. Brother-in-law of the late Meta Ginn, Cyril White (Geraldine) , Claude White (late Madeline), FreemanWhite (Roma), Gladys Barnes (Randy) and Lemuel White (Paulette). Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Colonel Moore was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1956 and dedicated his life to God, his family and the Salvation Army. Colonel served for over 43 years in Canada and the United States and his last appointment was as Chief Secretary of the The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory. Truly a man of God.
