The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BROWN, Don
Passed peacefully away on Thursday, February 4, 2016, after a long, courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by his loving family, Donaitus (Don) Brown of Mortier in his 70th year. He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Phyllis; daughters Donna (Gerry Cook), St. John's and Vanessa (Justin Corcoran), Brooks, Alberta; his precious grandchildren Brandon, Amber, and Cameron; brothers Jack (Brenda) and family, Mortier; Patrick (Alice) and family, Marystown; brother-in-law Nick Kennedy (Mabel), Mortier; sisters-in-law Gertrude Brown, Mortier; Stella (Freeman Clarke), Burin; and Kathleen Brown, St. John's; as well as many special nieces, nephews, close family relatives, and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his mother and father, John and Margaret Brown; brothers Daniel and Aloysius, mother-in-law Elizabeth Kennedy; sisters-in-law Melita Kennedy and Vera Murphy. Resting at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin, on Saturday, February 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon (family only) and 1 - 9 p.m.; Sunday, February 8, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral mass to take place from St. Patrick's Church, Burin, on Monday, February 8, 2016, 10 a.m. with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Cove. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife, Sharon of 38 years; son, Andrew (Konchessa) of Yorktown, Virginia; sister, Lynda (Deveau) McEwen and husband, Gordie of Halifax; 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Austin Deveau of Yorktown, Virginia; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. HENNEBURY, RAYMOND G.
1956-2016

On Wednesday, February 10th, 2016, Raymond G. Hennebury of Cooper Lane, formerly of Marystown, NL, passed peacefully away at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island, at the age of 59. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his fiancée, Maribel Quesada; daughters, Denika R. Hennebury of Conception Bay South, NL & Jennifer L. Hennebury of Pasadena, NL; his siblings, Lester J. Hennebury Jr. (Cathy), Bill Hennebury (Bertha), Loretta Lewis (Wassel), Audrey Hennebury all of Marystown, NL, Karen Morehouse of Amherst, NS, Allan Hennebury of Fort Nelson, BC & Shane Hennebury (Tracey) of Prince George, BC. He was the beloved uncle of his special niece Kelly "Bury" and his nine nieces & nephews: Chad, Tonya, Wassel Jr., Kobe, Chris, Miquela, Matthew, Sarah and Carley; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lester J. Hennebury Sr. and Bridget M. (Murray) Hennebury. Ray was born in Marystown and moved to Rhode Island fifteen years ago and worked as a Welding & Fabricating Supervisor for Sims Metal Management. He was a hard-working man, devoted to his work and his family; always putting everyone else's interests and needs before his own. He loved his fiancée, Maribel and he had a love for dancing, music and gardening. He will be remembered as a man who gave freely. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown, on Saturday, June 4th, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. Predeceased by husband; Winston May, grandson; Alex, parents; George and Olive Hardy, and sister; Christine Meaney. Leaving to mourn 4 daughters; Madge (Jude), of Montreal, Christine (Tony) of Gander, Mary Lou (Claude) of Mount Pearl, and Roxanne (Glen) of Point May. 4 grandchildren; Evan, Morgan, Sadiki, and Jeff (Victoria). 3 brothers; Sim (Gladys), Ches (Donna), Everet (Beatrice). 2 sisters; Marie (Edward), and Ann (Bruce). Passed away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center, on Tuesday February 9, 2016 Woodrow Monk, of Grand Bank, age 65 years. Predeceased by parents; John and May Monk. 1 brother; Eric Monk. Leaving to mourn wife; Shirley of 45 years. 2 sons; Colin (Shelly), Jeffrey (Melinda). A special 4 legged friend; Isabella. 3 brothers; Gary (Madeline), Freeman (Janie), and Keith. 6 sisters; Edwina (Joe), Daphne, Brenda (Paul), Anette (David), Jeanette (Ronnie), and Vera.
