BARNES, ELLEN "NELLIE"
(1916-2013)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late ELLEN (NELLIE) BARNES, formerly of Bay L'Argent, NL, announces her passing at the Glenbrook Lodge on February 28, 2013, at the age of 96. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; sons - John (Carol), Richard (Libby), Thomas (Ida); daughters - Vivian, Maxine (Robert Kohanski), Linda (Gerald Power); brother - Thomas Osbourne (Effie); 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Pre-deceased by busband - Joseph, baby baughter - Lydia Maud; brother - Jacob Osbourne; sons-in-law Harry and Joseph. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Bridget Bennett of Burin announces her passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn husband Bert; a very special young man Gerald Clarke of Surrey, BC; brother Tom (Hilda) of Burin; sister Geraldine of Jean de Baie; nieces Diane (Eddie), Donna (John) and Nicole (Mike) ; nephews Darren and Gordie (Lori-ann) brothers-in-law Lloyd (Selena) of Hawke's Bay, Wade (Geri) of NB and Nick Kennedy (Carol) of Mortier; special friends Sadie Popovitch of Creston South, Brenda Lickoch of Bull's Cove, Clayton Randell of Port au Bras and Donny Mallay of Jean de Baie. BUNGAY, Francis Esther
(October 6, 1922 - February 24, 2013)

Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on February 24, 2013, Francis Esther Bungay of Grand Bank, in her 90th year surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents John and Martha Loveless, parents-in-law James and Flora Bungay, brothers Ronald and John, sister Bessie, brother-in-law Maxwell, husband Archibald, grandsons Hughie Rideout and Justin Bungay. Leaving to mourn, sons Lester (Viola), Jim (Jane), Harold (Marion), Doug (Sharon), Dave (Brenda), Rex (Meta), Hugie (Gail) and Ron, daughters Marina Loveless (Ambrose), Shirley Rideout (Sydney), Georgina Stone (Merrick), and daughter-in-law Kathy, thirty five grandchildren, fifty three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home on Monday, February 25th from 7 pm - 9 pm for FAMILY ONLY. (January 12, 1948 - February 10, 2013)

It is with great sadness the family of Frank Leo Cox announces his sudden passing at his residence in Terrenceville February 10, 2013 at the age of 65. Leaving to mourn wife Dorothy; son Keith (Heidi) of Clarenville; daughter Shelley Cox (Cory) of Terrenceville; grandchildren Dakota and Shyanne; father Leo Cox; sisters Mary Jo Stacey (James), Marjorie Cox (Jim Walsh) and Florence Cox; brother Robert Cox (Juanita) plus a large circle of other family and friends. Leaving to mourn with eternal love are his three beautiful children, Maggie (13) and twin boys Liam and Daniel (8), as well as their Mom, Nina Scott. Plus a circle of relatives and friends. Remains resting at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, February 14th at 2 pm and again all day Friday. Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Emma Strickland, of Marystown, in her 94th year. Predeceased by husband Albert, daughter Blanche, great-granddaughter Hannah Miller and son-in-law Lawrence Mahoney. Leaving to mourn daughters: Clarice (Peter Buchanan) of Wolfville, NS, Barbara Mahoney of Mount Pearl, Donna and Jim May of Marystown, and Loretta and Wade Emberley of Marystown; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Blanche Garland of Mount Pearl and Pearl Best of Grand Bank; sister-in-law Evelyn Hunt of Milltown; plus a large circle of family and friends. Resting and visitation to take place from Wiseman's Funeral Homes in Marystown, on Thursday, February 28, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, March 1, from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday, March 2, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Leaving to mourn her loving sons Austin (Alice), Baine Harbour, Calvin (Patricia), Bracebridge, ON, Morley (Lesley), Sutton, ON, daughters Sharon Butler (Ron), Toronto, ON, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Raymond Brown, Baine Harbour; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Winnie is predeceased by her husband Cyril, daughter Alice, and brothers Clarence, Fred, and Pleman. Resting at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Baine Harbour, on Tuesday, February 05th, (from 6 PM), Wednesday, February 06th, (all day), Thursday, February 07th, (until noon). The funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Baine Harbour, on a date and time to be announced. Interment will be at the Anglican Church Cemetery in Baine Harbour.
