The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown
and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BRENTON, Evelyn
Born On: 19/03/1923 Passed Away On: 23/02/2011
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on February 23, 2011, Evelyn Elsie Brenton of Burin age 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Henry and wife Trudy of Burin and Onslow and wife Maureen of St. John's; daughters Thelma Lundrigan and husband (Jerome) of Burin, Goldie and husband (Kerry Wiscombe) of Lewin's Cove, Brenda Parsons and husband Kevin of Corner Brook and Yvonne Joyce and husband Tony of NS; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Harry Brown and wife Olive plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband Morris Brenton. Cremation has taken place. Rev. Robert Peddle officiated Funeral Service from Serenity Funeral Home Chapel Burin on Saturday at 2PM with inurnment following at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin.

(May 30, 1982 - February 9, 2011)

Passed away at Grand Bank on Wednesday February 9, 2011, Justin Rex Bungay of Grand Bank, age 28 years. Predeceased by Grandparents Archibald Bungay, Albert and Emily Snook. Leaving to mourn, Mother, Meta and Father Rex Bungay; Also sister Angela and (Steve) of Fortune; Special nieces Felicia and Carly, and nephew Chandler. Also a large circle of aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Saturday from 10 am - 12 pm (FAMILY ONLY); 2 pm - 4 pm; 7 pm - 9 pm. Sunday 10 am - 12 pm; 2 pm - 4 pm; 7 pm - 9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday at 2 pm from the Salvation Army, Grand Bank. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. DOUGLAS, Garfield
(June 21, 1932 - February 10, 2011)
Passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Thursday, February 10, 2011, Garfield Douglas of Grand Bank, age 78 years. Predeceased by parents Isaac and Elizabeth Ann Douglas. Leaving to mourn: wife Eleanor; daughters Louise Stacey(Gerald) of Grand Bank, Melissa Douglas (Blair) of Richmond, Ontario; sons Calvin(Lorraine) of Grand Bank, Gary (Nina) of Mississauga, Ontario; 8 grandchildren; brother Ralph (Mae) of Grand Bank, sister Sarah Jane Hillier of Grand Bank. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sister Elsie Walsh; 5 sisters in law Evelyn and Sadie Reid, Blanche, Dot and Rita Rowe; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special nephew Ralph Walsh, and special nieces Shirley Moulton, Theresa Baker, and Maureen Ressier.
