(1934-2014)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late JACK BECK of St. Lawrence announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Annie of 59 years; sons, Gus of St. Lawrence, Henry (Glenda) of St. Lawrence, Harvey (Christina) of St. Lawrence and Charlie (Dorinda) of St. Lawrence; daughter, Darlene (Al Slaney) of Springdale; sister, Ella Pike of St. Lawrence; brothers, Ray (Mary) of St. John's and Cecil of Burin; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Brewer of Epworth announces her passing at Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Thursday December 11, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn sons Larry (Monica) Brewer of Epworth, Don (Brenda) Brewer of Ottawa; daughter Judy Kirby (Ches) of Epworth; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister Beryl Smith of Calgary; brothers Barry Smith (Denise) of BC, Harold Smith of Marystown; special friend Maralla Pardy plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband David; daughter Marilyn Beasley, granddaughter Shawna Beasley, brothers Charles and Boyd Smith. Passed away at US Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence in the presence of his family, on Monday December 8, 2014, George Budgell of Allan's Island, Lamaline, age 83 years. Predeceased by wife; Annabell Mary Budgell, parents; John and Elizabeth Budgell. 2 daughters; Mary Budgell, and Deborah Budgell of Allan's Island. 5 sons, Wayne Budgell (Bernice) of Lord's Cove, William Budgell of Allan's Island, Paul Budgell (Lorie Ann), of Lamaline, Terrance Budgell (Jan) of Torbay, and Robert Budgell (Alfreda) of Torbay. 1 sister Roberta Hiscock of Corner Brook, 1 sister-in law Lucy Murray of St. Lawrence. Passed peacefully away at the age of 73 on December 10, 2014, at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Elizabeth Eileen (Baker) Farrell (August 5, 1941). She was predeceased by her husband Hugh, her parents Augustine and Mary Baker, brothers Raymond, Joseph, Gus and Bill. Prayerful remembrance of all deceased members of the Baker and Farrell families. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Scott of St. Bernard's on December 22, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Tom passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the U.S. Memorial Hospital in St. Lawrence after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife Bernice, daughter Debbie, son-in-law Jerry, grandson Scott (Faye), and granddaughter Jenna, lifelong friend and brother-in-law Billy Jim Myles (Margaret), brother-in-law Richard Edwards, and sister-in-law Jeanette Scott, nieces and nephews, whom each held a special place in his heart. Also his many loving cousins, who always made him feel so special, and a large circle of family and friends.Tom is predeceased by parents Hugh and Marion Scott, sister Philomena, brothers Gerard, Eugene, Walter and sister-in-law Shirley, niece and Godchild Ann, and nephew Terry.
