Passed away at Hoyles Escasoni Home in St. John's on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011, Newman Bartlett of Grand Bank, age 72 years. Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Marjorie Bartlett. Leaving to mourn wife Lily, daughter Cavell (Walt) and two special grandchildren Brittany and Matthew, Sister Eileen Nurse of Grand Bank, Brother-in-law Tom (Maxine) Rose of St. Phillips and Sister-in-law Winnie Purdy (David deceased) of Toronto. Nieces Pamela Purdy and Stephanie Dyer and nephews Peter and Trent Nurse. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home for public visitation on Monday from 10am - 12pm; 2pm - 4pm; 7pm - 9pm. Funeral Service will take place from Grand Bank United Church at 2pm on Tuesday, December 6th. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Funeral Service was conducted by Majors Lyndon & Lisa Hale from the Salvation Army, Grand Bank at 2 pm on Monday, January 02, 2012. Interment followed at St. Albans Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank.
