Leaving to mourn siblings David Best (Lorraine) of Cox's Cove, Gilbert Best of Toronto, Betty McCarthy of Toronto, Jean Cooke (Greg) of BC, Emma Kennedy of Port au Bras, Fred Best (Trudy) of Cox's Cove, Billy Best (Rhoda) of Cox's Cove, Paul Best (Norma) of Toronto, Violet Rukutis (Kurt) of Petersburg, ON and Gregory Best of Toronto; special niece Trina Clarke (Scott) and family plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by mother Elizabeth Best and brothers John and Gordon Best. Passed away at Grand Bank Health Care Centre on Monday, August 5, 2013, Philip Blagdon of Grand Bank, formerly of Boxey, Fortune Bay NL. Predeceased by parents; brothers Onslow and Harold; daughter Bella Cox. Leaving to mourn: wife Susannah, life partner of 67 years; children: Selina (Alfred) Sutlick; Phoebe (William) Cox; Rita (Raymond) Abbott; Henry (Brenda) Blagdon; Clyde(Paula)Blagdon; Marjorie (Wayne) Forsey; son-in-law Garfield Cox; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Neal Buffett from St. Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank at 2 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2013. Interment followed at St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Velma Stewart. Pall Bearers were: Andy Cox, Trevor Abbott, Todd Cox, Justin Cluett, Tony Cox, Dwayne Abbott.
