Burin Peninsula Obituaries
August 2008

The area includes from Terrenceville on down to Grand Bank, over to Lamaline, St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown and down the Peninsula again to Boat Harbour. All the communities are not named but serves the whole of the Peninsula.

 

BOLAND, Angus J.
(September 2, 1963 - August 28, 2008)

Passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 28th, Angus J. Boland of Point May, age 44 years. Predeceased by father Angus and sister Cecila. Leaving to mourn: wife Kim; daughters Keshia and Kimberley, and son Chad; Mother Mary Boland 9 sisters and 3 brothers; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at The Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Point May. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, Sept 1st at 2 pm from The Most Holy Rosary Church Point May. Interment to follow at The Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Point May. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Wednesday August 27th, 2008, William John Burton of Grand Bank, age 58 years. Predeceased by father Calvin Burton, sister Sadie, grandmother Rebecca Walters, mother-in-law Tryphena Loveless and brother-in-law Joseph Loveless. Leaving to mourn: wife Audrey at Grand Bank; daughter Sherry (Mike) and granddaughter Tyre at Grand Bank; mother Elsie Burton at Grand Bank; brothers Kevin(Ruth) at Grand Bank; Chesley (Millie) at Burgeo; Calvin (Glenda) at Grand Bank, and Thomas (Helen) at Grand Bank; father-in-law William George Loveless at Seal Cove, Fortune Bay; also very special friend Roland Caines(Gloria) at Grand Bank. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren's Funeral Home Grand Bank on Thursday from 2pm - 5pm; 7pm - 9pm, and on Friday and Saturday from 10am - 12noon; 2pm - 5pm; 7pm - 9pm. Funeral Service will take place from Grand Bank United Church on Sunday August 31st at 2pm. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery Grand Bank.
