John C. McCarthy Of Dorchester, formerly of Red Island, Newfoundland, retired Union
Member of Boston and New Bedford Fisheries, March 18, 2005. Beloved son of the
late Thomas V. and stepson of the late Mary (Keating) McCarthy. Brother of
Thomas V. McCarthy of New York, Sheila M. McCarthy of Dorchester, Marie J.
Murphy and her husband Joseph of Mansfield and the late Denis B. and Teresa G.
McCarthy. Brother-in-law of Marie McCarthy of Dedham. Also survived by several
nieces and nephews and their offspring. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated in Saint Marks Church, Dorchester, on Wednesday morning at 10:00.
Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140
Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment New
