Passed peacefully away on April 26, 2002, after a short and courageous battle with cancer: John Amminson, aged 81 years, a veteran of the Second World War with the Royal Navy. Predeceased by his wife Claire (nee Melvin). With a lifetime of experiences as a fisherman, sealer and a member of the Newfoundland Foresters who served overseas during World Way II, Richard Wescott observed his 104^th birthday this past January 29^th.
