Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Friday, September 3, 2010, Violet Elizabeth Stagg, age 84 years of Cape Freels. Predeceased by her parents, Minnie and George Stokes; husband, Guy Stagg; brothers, Aubrey Stokes and Martin Stokes; sisters, Lucy Stagg and Daisy Goosney; brothers-in-law,, Robert Stagg and Joe Mullett. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Ernest(Maxine) of Cape Freels and Claude (Susan) of Cape Freels; daughters, Audrey Cutler (Clifford) of Wareham and Hazel Welcher (Robert) of Valleyfield; sister, Evelyn Mullett of Coley's Point; sister-in-law, Edith Stokes of Pound Cove; grandchildren, Tina, Michael, Jamie, Trina, Tonia, Tammy Tara, Christopher, Darrell and Darlene; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Nicole, Cassidy, Desirae, Dawson, Logan, Ian, Stephen, Keegan, Guile, Devon and Alex; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center on September 5, 2010 Arthur O. Lemieux, age 70 Years. Predeceased by parents, Arthur and Helen (Lapin) Lemieux. Left with loving memories are his wife, Lena (Flynn) Lemieux; sons, Terry (Melanie) of Enfield, NS, daughters, Stephanie Lemieux (Dave Clarke) of Gander, Kelly Lemieux (Blaine Duff) of Lincoln, NB; sister, Linda (Albert) Cannell of Scarborough, Maine; grandchildren, Ashlynn Clarke, Norah Lemieux, Bryahna Ettinger; sister-in-law, Theresa Flynn of St. John's; nieces, Lisa (Rick) Ennis and family of St. John's, Sheryl Parkinson of Scarborough, Maine; nephews, Michael Milliken of Scarborough, Maine, also a large circle of family and friends. Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, Ivy Rose Robbins (nee Mehaney), age 93 years of Lumsden, formerly of Herring Neck. Predeceased by her husband, Harold and parents, William and Rose Mehaney. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is her brother-in-law, Cyril Robbins of Corner Brook; several nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Passed away at the Brookfield Hospital on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, Mrs. Alma T. Abbott of Musgrave Harbour in her 84th year. Predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Roland Cuff; husband, Laud, two brothers, Gilbert Goodyear and Cyril Cuff; sister, Rita Mouland and two great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Rogers and Ryan Hicks. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons, Gordon (Blanche) and Cyril (Mabel), daughter, Cavell Hicks (Sandy) all of Musgrave Harbour, sister, Melina Grey of Mount Pearl, twelve grandchildren, Angeline, Paula, Paulette, Monty, Kathy, Lela, Jerry, Candice, Jarrod, Christopher, Nancy, and Angie; eighteen great-grandchildren, Samantha, Zachary, D.J., Jonathan, Tyler, Shannon, Devon, Dylan, Jaxson, Savannah, Alexis, Amber, Hope, Cody, Brandi, Joshua, Austin, and Tyson; one great-great grandchild, Lexi-jo; and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. CLARKE, Carolyn Michelle -
Passed away suddenly on September 9, 2010 in Fort St. John, British Columbia, Carolyn Michelle Clarke, in her 47th year. Predeceased by sister, Roxanne Clarke. Deeply missed by partner, Stephen Peach. Much loved mother of daughters, Samantha Butler (Patrick Corbett) and Victoria Butler (Clayton Wieler). Sadly missed by grandson, Wyatt Wieler and her parents, Harry and Thelma Clarke, Eastport, NL. Beloved sister of Rod Clarke (Christine), Bill Clarke (Sherry) and Joanne Hanlon (Randy). Lovingly remembered by many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Passed peacefully away in Halifax on September 15, 2010, Pat Kiely, age 88. Predeceased by her husband, Gerry in 1994. Left with loving memories are her daughters, Susan (Ross) Ashbourne of Dartmouth, NS, Lauren (Keith) Sheppard of Paradise, NL; grandchildren, Sarah (Todd) Miles, Laura Ashbourne, Jennifer, Amanda and Emily Sheppard, great grandchildren Delia and Leighton Miles, sister, Evelyn Cranker of Kingston, ON; sister-in-law, Helen Cranker of Ivy Lea, ON and a large circle of family and friends. LUSH, Jesse -
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Home, Gander on September 19, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents, Jesse & Carol; son, Clarence; grandchildren, Jesse & Dennis and great-grandchild, Tyler; brothers, John, Benjamin,Walter and George; sisters, Mary, Beatrice and Ada; daughter-in-law, Angela Lush and sons-in-law, Clyde Lane and Lawrence Boland. His passing is mourned by his wife, Louisa of 69 years. Children, Abram (Yvonne), Clifford, Linda Lane, Douglas (Janice), Bonne (Ronald) Locke, Barry (Dinos), Dale (Craig) Landry; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Emily (Wicks) and sister-in-law, Florence (Lush) and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Passed away unexpectantly on Sunday, September 19, 2010, Mr. Ralph Pardy of Musgrave Harbour in his 69th year. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Melissa. BOLAND, Linda -
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Linda Joy Boland (nee Goulding), on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, aged 58 years. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Goulding and sister, Evelyn Bernice Goulding. Leaving to mourn are her two daughters, Jeanie (Darren) and Michelle (Mike) and one son, Hiram (Cassie). Also leaving to mourn are her three precious grandchildren, Cassidy, Josh, and Amy; her father, Gordon (Shirley); extended family: Hiram, Sheila, and Shauna; her sister Lisa (Roy); her three brothers: Melvin (Doris), Gerald (Pauline), and Howard (Shirley); numerous nieces and nephews; one great aunt, Irene ("Inie"); best friend, Lily; stepsister, Colette Winter (Carl); stepbrother, Corey Harry (Cherrie); as well as other relatives and friends, especially her church family and Gambo Lion's Club members. Rested at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo. Funeral took place on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Salvation Army Citadel with interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery. Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on September 30, 2010 Doyle Stanford Hatch. Predeceased by his father, William, mother, Lottie of Indiana, USA. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Theresa, sisters, Janice of Indiana, USA, Jama of Washington, USA, Leotta of California, USA; brother-in-law, Jim Harty (Doreen), sisters-in-law, Kay MacArthur, Louise Harty of Gander, a large number of nieces, nephews, and a special niece Natasha and her children. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 2nd from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, followed by internment at All Saints Cemetery.
