Passed peacefully away on September 3, 2004 at the
James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Margaret Kelly (nee White) of
Cull's Harbour at the age of 103 years, 11 months. Predeceased by her
husband, John in 1976 and son, Maurice in 1920. Left with fond and loving
memories are her sister, Alice; nephew, Frank Kelly, nieces, Elizabeth
Maher, Laura Kelly, Dolores Doody, Geraldine Sims and Margaret Parsons
(Martin), and all her nieces and nephews of the White family, along with
a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was held on September
6 th from the Sacred Heart Church, Cull's Harbour with Bishop Martin

Passed away with great spirit, courage and dignity at the Health Science
Centre in St. John's on September 11, 2004, Mr. Wes Simms of
Gander in his 66th year. Wes was a very successful businessman
who dearly loved his native province and its people. He is predeceased

Glovertown on Saturday, September 11, 2004, Hubert Feltham in

Passed away after a tragic accident on September 19, 2004, David
Ryan , age 47 years. Left with loving memories are his wife
and best friend, Marilyn; son, David of St. Brendan's, daughter, Tara

of St. Brendan's, Kenneth (Paula) of St. John's, sisters, Beverley (Ron)

(Bob) of Upper gullies; parents, Joseph and Cecilla of St. Brendan's;

an avid fisherman who loved his job. He will be sadly missed and loved
by all. He was a wonderful husband, son, father and brother. He will

RYAN, Joseph Jr. –
Tragically taken from us on Sunday, September 19, 2004, Joseph
Ryan, Jr., age 42, beloved husband, father, son and brother,
in a boating accident along with his brother, David Ryan, age 47, while
returning to St. Brendans, NL, after spending several weeks at sea and
near the end of his final fishing expedition for this season. Predeceased
by father-in-law, Louis Aylward and brother-in-law, Edward. Left with
fond and loving memories are his loving wife and best friend, Yvonne;
children, Stephen, Jennifer and stepson, Edward; parents, Joseph and
Cecilia Ryan; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mae Aylward; sisters, Shirley (Don),
Beverley (Ron), Linda, Johanna (Bob); his only remaining brother, Kenneth
(Paula); eight sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law; surviving crew
members, Ronald Furlong, Donald Brown, Jamie Aylward and Richard Brown;
along with many other very close friends and family. Funeral service
was held on September 29th at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.

LEYTE, Eli John (Lewisporte, NL) –
It is with great sadness that the family of Eli John Leyte announce
the sudden passing on Monday, September 20, 2004 at
the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Winnie of
60 years; sons, Sam (Dorothy) of Change Islands, Fred (Geraldine) of
Brampton, ON., and Ivan (Angela) of Brampton, ON.; daughters, Dora (Sandy)
Wall of Pickering, ON., Bessie (Eldon) Wheaton of Labrador City and Christine
(Ray) Sweet apple of Glovertown; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren;
brother, Edward James (Annie); sisters-in-law, Phoebe Jane and Bertie;
and a large circle of friends and relatives. He was a member of LOL for
59 years. Rev. Yvonne thistle conducted the funeral service September
23rd at Holy Trinity Anglican church, Wings Point. Special
thanks for the solo sang by Sandy Cull and organist. Many thanks from
the family go out to the people who made donations to the church fund,
all the beautiful flowers and a very special thank you to the cousins
who prepared and served the delicious food at the church hall.

Nellie's heartbroken family wish to inform all her relatives and friends
of her untimely death on September 21, 2004 at Southlake
Regional Hospital, New market, ON. Left to mourn are her husband, Hudson;
