It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Sunday, October 20, 2013 Edith Joyce Austin age 69 years of Wesleyville. Predeceased by her husband Albert; parents Japeth and Beryle Goodyear; brothers Carl and Boyd Goodyear. BROWN, Gerald
Gerald (Gerry) Mackenzie Brown
- 53 years formerly of Trinity, Bonavista Bay passed peacefully away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Lake Ridge Health Centre, Oshawa, Ontario. Gerry joined the Canadian Armed Forces at age eighteen and served for twenty six years. He then served overseas after his retirement. Although he spent most of his life away from home his heart was always in Newfoundland. Predeceased by his grandparents; Jacob and Stella Brown and Horatio and Agnes Cutler. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter; Jennifer Brown of Corner Brook, his parents; Gerald and Selena Brown of Trinity, two sisters; Iona (Barry) Wells of Trinity and Judy (Dean) Button of Courtice, Ontario and his nieces; Stephanie and Samantha Button and a large circle of other family and friends. A service celebrating Gerry's life took place on November 4, 2013 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. David Coffin officiating. Passed peacefully away on October 1, 2013 at the James Peyton Memorial Hospital, Gander in the presence of his loving family, Frank Colbert, St. Brendan's; age 84 years. Predeceased by parents, John and Alice, brothers William, Raymond, Joseph, Bill and Loyola. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 58 years Kate, sister Agnes (Edward deceased), sisters-in-law Grace Hynes, Anita Colbert, Klara Colbert and Sadie Ricketts, many cherished nieces and nephews, special nephew Gerry Walsh. Frank was a dedicated fisherman and exceptional friend. Rested at St. Gabriel's R.C. Church on Wednesday and Thursday. Mass of Christian burial on Friday, October 4th at 11:00 AM. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 19th, 2013, in her 94th year, Gillian Guy. The Great Gardener of the Northeast Coast was predeceased by her husband and gardening partner, Raymond W. Guy in 2000. Left to celebrate her beautiful life are her five children; Jane (C.J. of Happy Adventure, NL, formerly of Flat Island, Bonavista Bay. Passed away peacefully on October 31 at James Paton Memorial Hospital at age 97 years. She is predeceased by husband Harold and daughters Grace, Margaret, Donna and Daphne. Left to mourn are her loving husband Alfred, beloved daughters Karen (Randy) Feltham & Carol Ann, cherished grandsons Aaron & Travis Feltham, brother William (Jean) Burry, nieces & nephews, a large circle of family & friends. N. Lloyd Noseworthy (a.k.a. Pouch Cove Elvis) Born March 7, 1941; died October 13, 2013
. Lloyd died peacefully with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He is loved and missed by his wife, Joan (Curran), of 39 years; his children and grandchildren: Karen, Gary, Jonathan and Mark Pritchett; Kevin and Diane Noseworthy; Angie, Jeremiah, William, Andrew and Eli Shea; Max, Angela, Kaden and Willow Noseworthy; and Elaine and Scott Nystrom; Great-Grandchildren Isaac and Mackenzie; and sisters Gwen Hudson, Beatrice Cross and Cheryl Taylor. He will also be missed by a large circle of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Belle and Lloyd Noseworthy; and siblings Allan, Irene and Jean. Visitation with the family will be held at Gambo Lion's Club on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church at Gambo on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11 am. Cremation has taken place. No flowers by request. Donations can be made to the family, in trust, to purchase new furniture for the Palliative Care Unit at James Paton Memorial Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Charlotte Baker, husband Charlie, infant son Jerry, granddaughter Michelle, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Left to celebrate her life are her sons Charlie (Noreene), Calvin (Lynn), Claude (Bessie), Paul (Corrin), Shawn (Betty), Vern (Heather), daughters Viola (Harvey), Dianne (Eric), Helen (Ed), Ruth (Jim), Juanita (Steve), Barbara (Steve), Bonnie (Randy), Susan (Corey), Sharon (Herb), sister Eliza Trembellet of Bonavista, sister-in-law Gladys Baker of Glovertown, 41 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. WISEMAN, Eldred George
After an extremely courageous battle with cancer, it is with extreme sadness we must say good bye to a loving husband, father, brother and friend, Eldred George Wiseman (December 17, 1950 to October 9, 2013). George leaves behind the love of his life, Nancy and his three children: Andrea; Dale (Andrea); and Daniel. Left to mourn are siblings Garfield (Ruby), Lynn Pond (Zacc), Philip (Lousie), Sitnah (Audrey), Chesley (Marie), Frances Rogers (Felix), Nelson (Trixie), Rebecca Rideout (Percy), Wilhelmina Blackwood (Barry), Cindy Cook (Murray). He is predeceased by his parents Beatrice Mae Gwendolyn Brown, Isreal John Wiseman and Thomas Hunter. He will be dearly missed by a huge extended family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. His care free attitude will live on in many.
