CUFF, Ivy -
Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on October 2, 2005, Mrs. Ivy Cuff of Musgrave Harbour in her 81st year. Predeceased by her husband, Maxwell; parents, Tobias and Florence Cuff; grandchildren, Claudine Roberts and Ross Pardy; and sons-in-law, Harold Abbott and Claude Abbott. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Colin (Debbie) of Gander; daughters, Marilyn Abbott of Musgrave Harbour, Bonnie Abbott (George) of Musgrave Harbour, Jacqueline Cuff (Stewart) of Aspen Cove, Kay Hann (Harry) of Musgrave Harbour, Joan Abbott (Wesley) of Musgrave Harbour, Maxine Chaulk (Lauren) of Aspen Cove and Cherylann Roberts (Doug) of Stephenville; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on October 5th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour. Interment at Salvation Army Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour. GILLINGHAM, Otto Gordon -
Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on October 7, 2005, Otto Gillingham, age 79 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Nellie; daughter, Mona Byrne (Gerard); sons, Dean (Brenda) and Glen (Matilda); grandchildren, Jason, Janine, Tiffany, Maxwell and Janell; great-grandson, Joshua; sister-in-law, Viola Gillingham and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Henrietta; brothers, Harrison, Roland and don; sister, Maunda; and infant son, Brett. The funeral service took place from the United Church, Glenwood on Sunday, October 9th at 2 p.m. with interment at the United Cemetery, Glenwood. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cemetery fund will be gratefully accepted.

STOKES, Lillian -
Passed peacefully away at St. Luke's Home, St. John's on October 7, 2005, Lillian Stokes, age 86 years. Predeceased by her husband, Elijah; son, Eric; parents, Josiah and Sarah Hounsell; sisters, Carrie Noel, Martha Burry, Marion Hounsell and Deliah Vincent; brothers, Llewellyn Hounsell, Abel Hounsell, Baxter Hounsell and Kenneth Hounsell. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Joe Stokes (Sophie) of Wesleyville; daughters, Betty Winsor (Wallace) of Brookfield and Beverley Stokes (Garland) of St. John's; daughter-in-law, Leah Jefferies (Stokes) of Lewisporte; sisters, Cyneth Norman of Dunville and Margaret Norman of Lumsden; grandchildren, Kimberly (Roger), Dean (Kathy), Lisa Z(Cyril), Corey (Kim), Sherry Lynn (Steve), Arthur, Joanne (Neil) and Erica; great-grandchildren, Jana Lynn, Mackenzie, Evan, Callie, Alissa and Rebecca; special sisters-in-law, Annie Humphries of Glenbrook Lodge, St. John's Mac Stokes of St. Luke's Home, St. John's and a large circle of other relatives and friends. TULK, Richard (Ricky) -
Passed peacefully away on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Richard (Ricky) Tulk of Aspen Cove, age 40. Predeceased by his grandparents, Bert and Olive Tulk and Wallace and Dorothy Balsom. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his parents, Newman and Jewel Tulk of Aspen Cove; brother, Jeffrey (Jillian) of Barrie, ON; niece, Allysha Tulk; nephew, Spencer Tulk, both of Barrie, ON and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on October 17th at the United Church, Aspen Cove with Rev. S. Parsons officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Aspen Cove. KELLY, Margaret -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on October 15, 2005, Margaret Kelly, age 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, John and infant daughter, Margaret. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, John (Anita) of St. Brendan's, NL and Patrick Maher (Lucy Kelland) of Glovertown; daughter, Marie (Patrick Samson) of Glenwood, NL; grandchildren, Scott (Tara), Brian (Julie), Krista (Lee Gilbert), Julie, Alexandria, Wanda Lee and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Bria and Ireland; brother, James Maher (Theresa) of Culls Harbour, NL; sister, Martha Kelly of Gambo, NL; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on October 17, 2005, Andrew Mahoney, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents, Michael and Cecilia; brothers, Joseph and Walter; and sister, Agnes. Left with loving memories are sons, Mike of Nova Scotia, John (Shelley) of Ontario; daughters, Rose (Kirk) Bigelow of Ontario, Agnes (Wilson) Hunt of Gander; sisters, Madeline Hardy of Delaware, Rose Keough of New Jersey, Nora Noseworthy of Pensacola, Stella Corbett of Ontario; five grandchildren, Melissa Stockwood, Jeanette and Christopher Mahoney, Ashley and Alishia Hanlon; one great-grandchild, James Stockwood. Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on October 18, 2005, Walter Wilson King, age 55 years. Predeceased by his father, Walter Wilson King, Sr. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother, Maggie; brother, Pleman (Marjorie) of Valleyfield; sisters, Pearl White (Levi) of Valleyfield, Eliza White (Hubert) of Valleyfield, Thelma Bates ( Chelsea ) of Gander, Hilda Perry (Gerry) of Valleyfield; several nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on October 21st at Grace Pentecostal Tabernacle, Valleyfield with Pastor Dwayne Mews officiating. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Valleyfield. HICKEY, James J. -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on October 22, 2005, James J. Hickey of Happy Adventure, age 64 years. Predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Henry. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Ida Mae, four sons, one daughter, five grandchildren, three brothers, eight sisters and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was held on October 25th at Holy Cross Church, Eastport with Father Dino and Reverend Thoms officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Squire's Funeral Home, Eastport.

LUSH, Elizabeth Margaret (nee Murphy) -
It is with great sadness in our hearts we announce the passing away of a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend on October 23, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, at the age of 90 years, 6 months. Predeceased by her husband, James 1982. Left to mourn are six sons, Dennis (Mary)Murphy of Ontario, Stewart (Nellie, deceased) of Gambo, Marshall of Gambo, Verdun (Jessie) of Gambo, Jim (Lorraine), Faron (Brenda) of Alberta; five daughters, Isabelle (Ambrose) Abbott of St. John's Daphne (Lewis) Parsons of Gambo, Olive (Gerald) Holloway of Gander, Jean (Wilson, deceased) Eastman of Gambo, Alvie (Robert) Burack of Ontario. Also mourning, Leslie (Nina) Lush and family of Glenwood; 40 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two brothers, Ronald (Anne) Murphy of Ontario, Leonard (Ursula) Murphy of St. John's; one sister, Gertrude Deemer of U.S.A., and their children. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral service was held on October 26th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Gambo. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

CUTLER, Myrtle Jane (nee Hunt) -
Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on October 25, 2005, Myrtle Jane Cutler, age 73 years, of Wareham, NL. Predeceased by her husband, Jabez; parents, Martin and Hannah Hunt. Leaving to mourn with saddened hearts filled with beautiful memories are her loving and devoted partner of 20 years, Hector; his mother, Meta and family; her children, Calvin (Sandra) of King's Point, Shirley (Barry Lane) of Paradise, Martin (Jackie) of Wareham, Judy (Ray Pickett) of Centreville, Tony (Glena) of Ontario, Ivan of Wareham; sisters, Dorothy, Florence, Mary, Doris, and Hazel; brothers, Gordon, Eli, Leonard, Ronnie and their families; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. The family's gratitude is extended to her family physician, Dr. Cutler at Centreville Medical Clinic; Dr. Cox and Gwen at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander; Dr. Murphy, Dr. Darcy, Dr. McClennon and staff at Brookfield Hospital for their competence and genuine kindness. WHEATON, Fannie Melina -
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fannie Wheaton announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, October 24, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 79 years old. Predeceased by her parents, John and Bessie Wheaton; son, Maxwell Clarence; sisters, Olive Hancott and Martha Downer; brothers, Maxwell and Andrew Wheaton. Left to mourn her husband, Wilson, residing at Lakeside Home, Gander; son, Cordell Wheaton (wife, Beverley) of Frederickton; daughter, Grace Sellars of Botwood; sister, Levita Warr of Lewisporte; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. Rev. Dale Estey conducted the funeral service from the United Church, Frederickton on October 27th. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery , Frederickton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Woolfrey's Funeral Home, Lewisporte. Pallbearers were Newman Wheaton, Harris Wheaton, Sheldon Vivian, Tom Bown, George Kinden and Harold Nippard. Donations may be made in her memory to the United Church, Frederickton.

JONES, Marilyn Ann -
Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on October 31, 2005, Mrs. Marilyn Ann Jones, age 67 years. Mr. Jones practiced at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander as an Anesthetist for several years. There she was better know as Dr. Marilyn Brothers to co-workers and patients. Marilyn is predeceased by her mother, Florence (1980). Left with fond and loving memories is her husband, Howell of Gander; son, Nick (Kim LaChance) of Montreal, Matt (Darlene Noble) of Gander, Father Edwin Brothers of Fleet, England and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, 300 Prince Phillip Drive, St. John's, NL, AIB 3V6, phone 709-777-7589.
