She led her Christian life spreading love wherever she went, touching countless lives with her beauty of heart and soul. She set the example by saying, "You must love everyone. If you don't love everyone, then you don't love God, for God is in everyone." Her love came in the form of hugs, kisses, words of encouragement, prayers and acts of kindness, and through their welcoming home (and cabin). Gifted with a talent in the kitchen, her home-cooked meals, fresh breads, baking galore and even decorated wedding cakes are memorable, which came in handy as the wife of a land surveyor, farmer, politician and Anglican minister - they offered their table to all. Growing up in the Salvation Army, she later became active in the ACW, Loyal Orange Lodge, Girl Guides, church choir, Sunday school teaching and the Anglican Lay Ministry. She lived a life of service by visiting the sick, praying with the bereaved, and always putting others first - the ultimate caregiver. She faced her final days with such grace and with amazingly unfaltering faith. She will be missed. She loved and was loved. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 26th at 10:30 A.M. at St. George's Anglican Church, Gambo. Interment Anglican Cemetery, Gambo.
