Passed peacefully away on November 1, 2002 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Mrs. Beatrice John of Appleton in her 71st year. Predeceased by parents Harry and Lavina Richards; stepbrother Wilfred; step-sister Nellie and her husband Michael John (1981). Left with warm and loving memories are daughters, Gwen (Sam) Thorne of Glenwood, Gidge (Navin) thistle of Glenwood, Patsy (Eldred) Snow of Appleton; sons, Roger (Marina) John of Glenwood, Clay (Paula) John of Glenwood and Barney (Donna) John of Appleton; sister Jean (Ray) Greer of Parry Sound, Ontario; brothers, Jerry (Wavie) Richards, Glendon (Patsy) Richards; sister-in-law Marjorie (Wilfred) Richards, all of Appleton; 19 grandchildren; nine great-granchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd at First United Church, Glenwood/Appleton. Interment at Richard's Private Cemetery, Appleton. Arrangements entrusted to Woolfrey's Funeral Home, Lewisporte.

HARRIS, Phyllis (nee Simms) -
Passed peacefully away on November 2, 2002 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Phyllis Harris (nee Simms) of George's Point, Gander Bay south, age 59. Predeceased by parents Maxwell and Alfreda Simms, brother, Douglas Simms, husband, Harvey Harris. Left with loving memories are sons, Wayne (Gladys), Clifford (Barb), Randy (Pam), Lorne (Marlene), Dion (Aysha); daughters, Wanda (Wayne), Rogers, Glenys, Dana (Woodrow) Collins, Tanya (Craig) Mouland; brothers, Wesley (Edith) Simms, Guy (Kathy) Simms; sisters, Rita (Bowman) Brinson, Mabel (Dan) Bauld; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 5th at Riverside United Church, George's Point. Interment at United Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander/Carmanville.

GILL, Peter Blackmore -
Passed peacefully away on November 5, 2002 at the Community Nursing Home, Pickering, Ontario, Peter Blackmore Gill, formerly of Trinity, B. Bay. Predeceased by his wife, Lydia Isabelle; great-grandson, Sheldon Peter Gill; two sisters, Polly Parsons, and Emily Norris. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are four sons, Wilson (Gloria) of Ontario, Lloyd (Betty) of Ontario, Joseph (Frances) of Corner Brook, Edward of Ontario; two daughters, Isabelle (Percy Stagg) of Ontario; Pauline (Gerald Brown) of Ontario; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 9th at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. R. Osmond officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Trinity. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.

MORGAN, Stanley -
Passed peacefully away on at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, on November 6, 2002 , Mr. Stanley Morgan of Carmanville in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife Annie; parents, George and Priscilla; three brothers, Edward, Andrew and Simon; and two sisters, Harriett and Elizabeth. Left with fond and loving memories are one son, George (Norma) of Carmanville; two daughters, Phyllis Preston (Bill) of Dover and Audrey Collins (Spencer) of Hare Bay; one brother, Herbert of Carmanville; one sister, Ethel Chaulk of Carmanville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 9th at the Pentecostal Church in Carmanville. Interment at Pentecostal Church is Carmanville. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey's Funeral Home, Carmanville/Gander.

PARSONS, Julia -
Passed peacefully away on November 6, 2002 at Bonnews Lodge, Julia Parsons of Valleyfield, age 79 years. Predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Louisa Torraville; two sisters, Elsie Brown and Ella Barnes; and brother, Reginald. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband, Baxter; two sons, Reginald (Shirley) of Valleyfield and Gary (Jackie) of St. John's; two daughters, Bessie Dyke (Ray) of Glovertown, Doreen Coward (George) of Greenspond; brother Roy Torraville of Grand Falls-Windsor; sister Sadie Steel of Birchy Bay; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 8th from St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Greenspond with Rev. John Watton officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Shambler's Cove, Greenspond. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.

COLLINS, Jean -
Passed away on November 9, 2002 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Jean Collins in her 66th year. Predeceased by father and mother Robert and Sara Bixby and granddaughter Julie. Left with man loving memories are husband Jim; five sons, Eldon (Judy) of Ontario, Rob (Trudy) of Carmanville, Ken (Kay) of Carmanville, Bert (Margurite) of Frederickton, Tony (Kelly) of Carmanville; three daughters, Dorothy (Brent) of New Brunswick, Darlene (Keith) of Victoria Cove, and Tracy (Chris) of Frederickton,; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 11th at Carmanville Pentecostal Church. Interment at Carmanville Pentecostal Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted through Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte.

COLLINS, Janet -
Passed peacefully away on November 12, 2002 at Lakeside Homes, Gander, Janet Collins in her 98th year. Predeceased by husband, Anslum; son, Ford; sister, Bertha Wheaton; brother, Harvey Hancock; parents Charles and Miriah Hancock. Left with loving memories are son Roy Collins and wife Audrey of Carmanville; three grandchildren, Ross, Garry and Jean; nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 14th at Carmanville United Church. Interment at Carmanville United Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to Emanuel United Church Memorial Fund. PINSENT, Raymond -
Passed peacefully away on November 13, 2002 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Mr. Raymond Pinsent of Ladle Cove in his 85th year. Pre-deceased by his parents, Samuel and Dora; one sister, Alma Tulk; one brother, Leslie Pinsent; one sister-in-law, Ada Pinsent; and two brothers-in-law, Harry Whalen and Ralph Tulk. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Millicent, one daughter, Deanna Pinsent (Philip Kieley) of Gander; one sister, Lousie Whalen of Lumsden; several nieces and nephews; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 15th at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Aspen Cove. Interment at Jehovah's Witness Cemetery in Ladle Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour/Pound Cove.

WARREN, Muriel A. -
Passed peacefully away on November 16, 2002 at Lakeside Homes, Muriel A. Warren. Predeceased by her husband Edgar and brother Chesley Samson. Left with loving memories are daughter Kay; husband Max Quinton of Gander; sister Stella Russell of Brampton, ON; four grandchildren, Trudy, Pam, Bob and Sheldon; four great-grandchildren, Scott, Drew, Meredith and Laura; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 19th at St. Edward's Anglican Church, Glovertown. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Edward's Anglican Church or Lakeside Homes. WALSH, Aiden Sr. -
Passed peacefully away on November 23, 2002 in the presence of his family at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Aiden Walsh, Sr., age 80. Predeceased by sister, Sylvia. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Rose; sons, Keith (Veronica), Aiden Jr. (Karen), Paul (Helen), Philip (Frances), Darryl (Mavis); daughters, Jennifer (Brian), Lisa (Andy), Roxanne (Glenn); 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother William; nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 26th at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church, Gander. Interment was at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. Donations in his memory can be made to the Gander Lions Club Dialysis Fund. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.

FORSEY, Oswald -
Passed peacefully away on November 24, 2002 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Oswald Forsey, age 92. Predeceased by wife, Winnifred - 1976, son-in-law Thomas Boyd, brothers Albert and Hubert Forsey, sisters Rilla Ludlow and Winnie Goodyear. Left with loving memories are sons Oscar (Sylvia) of Glenwood, Ernest and friend (Diana) of Port Colbourne, Ont.; Mary (William) Hodge of Rogers Cove, Gander; brother Wilbert (Mary); eight grandchilden; three great-great-grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Andrew's Anglican church, Glenwood. Funeral service was held on November 27th. Cremation and interment followed the funeral service. Donations in his memory can be made to St. Andrew's Anglican church Memorial Fund, Box 185, Glenwood, NL AOG 2K0. Arrangements entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.

CHAULK, Sadie -
Passed peacefully away on November 25, 2002, at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Sadie Chaulk, in her 81st year. Predeceased by her husband George; son Tobias; daughter Sheila; granddaughter Trudy; and great-grandsons Josuah and Terrance. Left with loving memories are three sons, Lloyd of Main Point, George (Gladys) of Noggin Cove, John (Brenda) of Toronto; two daughters, Shirley (Clayton Hayward) of Musgrave Harbour and Louise (Allan Bursey) of Toronton; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ivy Cuff of Musgrave Harbour; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 28th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville. Donations in her memory can be made to the Salvation Army Citadel at Carmanville. Arrangements through Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte.

BUTT, Pearl -
Passed peacefully away on Novenber 26, 2002 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Mrs. Pearl Butt of Carmanville in her 71st year. Predeceased by her four brothers, Stephen, Harold, George and Clement and one sister Daisy Vincent. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband, Raymond; three sons, Richard (Maxine) of Fort McMurray, AB, Peter (Janice) of Lloydminister, AB and Derrick (Bonnie) of Carmanville; one daughter, Clarice Sheppard (Scott) of Gander; one sister, Bessie Goodyear of Deadman's Bay; nine grandchildren, Jody, Angela, Amanda, Christopher, Stephen, Tasha, Andrew, Victoria and Ambert; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on November 28th at The House of God Interfaith in Grand Falls/Windsor. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey's Funeral Home in Carmanville-Gander.
