ACREMAN, Dorothy E. (nee Rowsell)
Passed peacefully away at the Miller Centre in St. John's, in the presence of her loving nieces on May 16th, 2015, age 84. Predeceased by her husband Ben, parents Wesley & Elsie (Paddock) Rowsell, brother Ross, sister & brother-in-law Bertha & Ken Styles, niece Marion, sister-in-law Marjorie Acreman, brother-in-law Jim Acreman, & her beloved dogs Tiny & Skippy. Dot was a long-time Gander resident who enjoyed boating, skidooing, fishing, hunting, travel & fun times at the cabin with family & friends. She was an avid bingo player, & also creator of beautiful crocheted & hand-knit goods. Left with fond & loving memories are her sister-in-law Carrie Rowsell, brother-in-law John Acreman (Dorothy), nieces & nephews Rhonda, Ron, Wes, Ches, Amonda, Janice, Margie, Ralph, Dennis, Bob, and their families, as well as her extended family & a large circle of friends. Special thanks to Gus & Linda, Rhonda & Sharon, Karen, Ralph & Margaret, & everyone else who helped along the way. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 19th from the Fraser Road United Church, Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery. ATTWOOD, Edward
Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Thursday, May 21, 2015 Edward James Attwood age 66 years of Gander (formerly of Valleyfield). Predeceased by his parents Carson and Mary Attwood; parents-in-law Alex and Josie Pearce; brother-in-law Lester Burry; and sister-in-law Karen Dwyer. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 47 years, Linda; children Goldie (Rodney Best), Cory (Tammy), Kathy (Keith Best) and Penny (Jason Boyd); grandchildren Steven Best, Cindy Best, Coralee Attwood, Chantel Attwood and Georgia Attwood; sisters Annie (Wallace Hounsell), Shirley (Bruce Hutchings) and Emma (Kenneth Penton); brother Leslie (Kathy); sister-in-law Valerie (Larry); brothers-in-law Wilson Pearce (Kathryn); Brooklyn Pearce (Elaine) and Jim Dwyer; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at The Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley on Saturday, May 23, 2015 with Pastor William Burton officiating. Interment followed at The Pentecostal Cemetery, Valleyfield. Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Monday, May 25, 2015 Jack Carl Chaulk age 84 years of Lumsden. Predeceased by his parents Nehemiah and Jessie Chaulk; 1st wife Emma; brothers Carl, Carmen (Eunice), Cyril (Martha) and Freeman; sisters Ethel (Peter) and Sybil (Lindsay). Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Janet; daughter Roxanne Cuff (Paul) of Musgrave Harbour; sisters Ruby Stokes (Elmore) of Deadman's Bay, Yvonne Pardy (Edgar) of Musgrave Harbour, Beulah Abbott (Beaton) of Musgrave Harbour and Jane Goodyear (Max) of Deadman's Bay; sister-in-law Winnie Chaulk of Deadman's Bay; his extended family, Ivy Mouland (Edgar- deceased) of Musgrave Harbour; Jerry Goodyear (Viola) of Deadman's Bay, Wade Goodyear (Bernice) of Deadman's Bay and Perry Goodyear (Susan) of Deadman's Bay; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Sunday, May 24th, 2015, Juanita Gillingham, age 85. Predeceased by her parents Bert and Annie Ellsworth, husband Baxter Gillingham, sons Everette, John, Terry, Gary, son-in-law Ross Tulk, grandsons Dwight, John and Baby Gillingham. Left to mourn with loving memories are her sons Barry (Carol) of Colbourne, ON; Dean (Netta) of Fort McMurray, AB; Craig (Kathleen) of Noggin Cove, Christopher (Angela) of St. John's, Eric (Eunice) of Noggin Cove, daughters Viola (Kevin Gillingham) of Noggin Cove, Cindy (Gerald Gillingham), Barbara (Rayfield Hancott) of Noggin Cove, Brenda (Wayne Paff) of Strothroy, ON; brother Jack Ellsworth (Alma) of Carmanville, sister Marjorie (George Goodyear) of Carmanville, 27 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, daughters-in-law Yvonne Gillingham of Corner Brook, Yvonne Gillingham of Glovertown, Sandra Gillingham of Noggin Cove and a large circle of family and friends. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on May 26, 2015 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Beulah Hicks age 67 years of Musgrave Harbour. Predeceased by her parents Maxwell & Alma Hicks and sister, Joan Hicks. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Maxwell Hicks; son, Wade (Cherylann) of Musgrave Harbour; daughters, Shirley (Boyd) of Gander, Tammy (Dave) of Deadman's Bay and Crystal (Mike) of Musgrave Harbour; brothers, Stan (Linda) and Alexander (Cavell) all of Musgrave Harbour; sister, Marion (Harvey) of Musgrave Harbour; grandchildren, Kayla, D.J., Stefanie, Kristi, Scott and Robbie; great-grandchildren, JR, Shanae & Lila and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18th, 2015, Nina Marsh, age 81. Predeceased by her parents James and Annie Harris and her husband Maxwell. Left to mourn with loving memories are her sons Derek of Gander, Larry (Helen) of Fall River, NS; Glenn (Charmaine) of Gander, brothers Wilbert (Ruby) of Gander, Terry (Hazel) of St. John's, grandchildren Kathy, Ashley (Matt), Debbie (Matt), Greg, Julia, Taylor Lynn, great-grandchildren Noah and Grayson and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Tuesday, May 19th from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, May 20th from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Lucy "Levetia" Parsons
passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Mom, we will remember your love and endless patience, your comfort food and baking, and your creativity with sewing and knitting needles. Thank you for teaching us honest values. You were our greatest gift! Born to Alexander and Viola Gibbons of Lumsden, Newfoundland, she is leaving a lifetime of fond and loving memories to her children, Joan Goodyear (Winston), Mary Watt (Douglas) and Elvis Parsons; her grandchildren, Nancy Cuff (Jeffrey), Dinah Goodyear (Douglas Hefford), Doreen Shea and Harris Goodyear; and great-grandchildren, Bella Cuff, Watson Cuff, and Fletcher Hefford. Levetia will be missed by her sisters Gertie Holloway, Marie Feltham, Gwen Wells (Tobias); and brothers, Lorenzo Gibbons (Betty), Eric Gibbons, and Cluny Gibbons; and sisters-in-law Minnie Norris and Mary Kean. Also saddened by her loss are Levetia's true and faithful friends, Carolyn Simon (Labrador City, NL), Marian Smith (Mount Pearl, NL), Sharon Pye (Cochrane, AB); and Levetia's devoted caregiver Elsa German (Calgary, AB). Levetia was predeceased by her loving husband Samuel Parsons (formerly from Newtown); grandson-in-law David Shea; sisters Millicent Pinsent and Greta Kean; and sisters-in-law, Marcella Gibbons, Ethel Way, Frances Kean, and Sadie Parsons. PECKFORD, David George
Passed peacefully in his sleep May 8, 2015. David G. Peckford. Age 66. Born September 18, 1948 in Gander. Predeceased by parents William Peckford and Lavina (King) Peckford. Sister Shirley (Ron Suley), Brothers Arthur, James and Angus. Left to mourn Common Law Wife of 23 years, Patricia Kearney, Sister in law France's Peckford (Gander) and Lillian Peckford (Elmsdale, NS.). Also nieces, Lorraine Rowe, Pamela Peckford, Karen Mills, Joanne Davidson, Valerie Suley and nephews, Terry Suley, Arthur (Bud) Peckford. Billy Peckford and Grant Peckford. Although David suffered from Mental Illness he obtained his Grade 11 and completed a correspondence course allowing him to follow his passion for writing. David became a published author and poet. Forever a lover of sports trivia and politics, David will be dearly missed. Laid to rest at the Commonwealth War Memorial Gravesite Gander with his parents.

TULK, Stanley
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear father, grandfather, and great grandfather at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, May 15, 2015. Stanley Weston Tulk age 96 years of Gander. Predeceased by wife Pearl 2013 and son Arthur 1962. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughter Ruby (Oliver) Gordon of Glovertown, son Walter (Margaret) Tulk of Fort McMurray, Alberta, sister Fanny Crisby, and brother Gilbert Tulk, Eastport. 7 grandchildren Gerald (Sheri), Michael (Melissa), Christopher (Kimberly), Lana (Tony), Carla, Susan (Scott) and James (Jennifer). 16 great grandchildren, Mia and Matthew Gordon, Laila, Isabella, James and Sebastian Gordon, Colton, Paige and Ty Gordon, David, John and Anna Noseworthy, Michael and Gracie Brown, and Ethan and Matthew Tulk. A large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins who were also a special part of his life. Rested at Orams Funeral Home in Eastport, interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Eastport.
