Our mom passed peacefully away after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Emily was born and raised in Gambo. She married Lionel in 1943 and moved to Gander where she raised her six children. Our mom was a very kind and gentle woman who devoted all of her life to being a loving mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law, and aunt. Her favorite past times were knitting, quilting, rocking by the wood stove, long car rides with family, mug ups, camping, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and especially sitting with Friskie curled up in her lap. She will be greatly missed by her devoted family, who will be forever grateful for the love and caring shown by her extended family, neighbors, caregivers, and friends.
"Mom; you were truly an angel on Earth".
