BLUNDON, Arthur
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on May 8th 2013, Arthur Wesley Blundon, age 83 years. Art was born in Shoal Harbour, Trinity Bay, NL to the late Wesley and Rebecca Blundon in 1930. He married Inez Francis in 1956, they have six children and lived in Glenwood. Art worked with The Canadian National Railway from 1950-1988. Predeceased by his parents Wesley and Rebecca, son Felix. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 57 years Inez, sons Wayne (Lana), Tony (Lorie), Rodney (Patricia), daughters Inez (Terry), Patricia (Glendon), sister Olive Hyde, grandchildren Paton (Leigh), Colleen, Andrew (Allison), Matthew (Tara), Jonathan-Lee, Wesley, Rebecca, Jordon, great grandchildren Jessie, Colton, Kristen, Ewen, Olivia, Maggie, and Edwin. BOLAND, Edgar
Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Saturday, May 18, 2013 Edgar Thomas Boland age 86 years of Trinity. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Maude (Kelloway) Boland; brothers Naboth, Thomas and Peter; sisters Sarah, Sadie and Alice. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Minnie (Brown); daughter Daphne Cutler (George) of Trinity; grandchildren Sharon Pickett (Guy), Andy Cutler (Penny), Sheila Collins (Paul) and Michael Cutler (Pamela); great-grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Andrew, Peyton, Bradley, Daniel, Michael and Richard; great-great-granddaughter Brooke; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. age 65, passed peacefully away with her family by her side at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on May 14th, 2013. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Rebecca Wicks, son Tony, father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Meta Cokes and brothers-in-law Wayne Kelly and Albert Davis. DECKER, Charles
Decker, Charles Edgar Stanley
- 70, Eastport, NL, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2013 at Gander Hospital surrounded by his wife and four children. Born in Ship Cove, NL, the son of the late Charles and Rebecca Decker (Jacobs). He was a welder by trade and also worked as a fisherman. Charles was always happiest when he was surrounded by friends and family. He had a special passion for volunteering at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 41, where he served as a volunteer cook and took part in numerous fundraisers and charity events. Charles (Char) had a great love for the outdoors and in particular fishing. He had a gift for music and was quite adept at the accordion and dancing the two - step. Charles is predeceased by son Charles Decker Junior and leaving to mourn his loving wife Shirley (Samson) Decker (Eastport, NL); Son: David Decker (Glenwood, NL), Daughters: Lorraine Oram (Glovertown, NL), Yvonne Pevie (Bonavista, NL) and Brenda Thompson (Strathmore, AB) Sisters: Jessie, Florence, Bertha. Stepsister: Sarah. Stepbrother: Sam as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 19, at 2:00 pm in Holy Cross Anglican Church, Eastport. Rev. May 18, 1939 - May 24, 2013

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Reuben E. Humphries announces his passing at the Brookfield Bonnews Health Centre on May 24, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Due to his Dementia Reuben had a 4 month stay in the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, Botwood, where he was given exceptional care. Reuben is predeceased by his parents Walter & Rosanna Humphries; brother Lacey; sisters Louise, Millicent, Essie and Daisy; daughter Sheila; son Watson. MARIN, Devon Rae
1976-2013

It is with great sadness the family of Devon Rae Marin (Himmelman), (37) announces her passing on May 3, 2013 in Moncton, NB. Devon was born in St John's, NL on Apr 22, 1976. She graduated Gander Collegiate in 1994 and Compu College / Travel and Tourism program in St John's, NL in 1996. She worked as a Store Associate and later as a Store Manager with Easyhome Ltd for 10 Years. Devon was also involved over a 14 year period with the Canadian Cadet Movement as a Civilian Instructor and an Officer of the Cadet Instructor Cadre Branch. She progressed to the rank of Captain and was presented with Canadian Decoration and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal during her service in the Canadian Forces. Devon is survived by her Husband, Robert and son, Jonah, of Moncton, her parents David and Barbara Himmelman of Bayport, NS, brother, Mike Himmelman (Sadie) of Winnipeg MB, grandmother, Phyllis Burpee, of Fredericton, father and mother-in-law Gilles Marin and Louise Gagné of Rivière du Loup, QC and brothers-in-law Jean Pierre Marin and Eric Marin (Marie-Claude) of Montreal, QC and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece. Devon was predeceased by maternal grandfather David Burpee and paternal grandparents Wilson and Francis Himmelman. POWELL, Wilson George
1930 to 2013

Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on May 22, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Norma of 60 years and with loving and fondness his sons Glenn and Robert, his daughters Ruth and Pauline and special granddaughter Dipika. Also left to mourn his sister Stella Lockyer living in Bay Roberts. Predeceased by his brother Clyde (Rose). Also left to mourn are a large extended family including a special nephew Jerry Howell. A private family memorial service was held on May 24, 2013. Wilson will be remembered for his love of salmon fishing and camping. Wilson will also be remembered by his many friends at the terminal in Gander and the many people he met at Powell's Grocetria. A special thanks to all his neighbors and friends for their support and much appreciation to all the doctors and nurses for their excellence care during his illness. March 2, 1970 - May 12, 2013

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our daughter Terri-Lynn at her home in Gander, she was 43. Predeceased by her sister Laurie-Ann. SHEPPARD, Eileen
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on May 8th 2013, Eileen Margaret Shepherd (nee Reid) was born on July 12, 1929. In 1960, she and the love of her life, husband Lorne, moved to Gander, the place that was to become home. Music was Eileen's lifelong passion, she taught music and played organ at St. Martins Anglican Cathedral for over 40 years. She was also active in the craft industry, attending fairs and craft shows all over the country with her unique clothing creations, Fashion Craft. Predeceased by son Wayne and husband Lorne, she leaves her son Reid (Crystal), Grandsons Doug (Amy), Robert, and Susan (Jamie), Great Grandchildren Ava, Zack and Luke, as well as sisters Fern, Phylliss, Glenda, brother Jim, and special Daughter-in-Law Mary Shepherd. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Service took place Friday May 10th from St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Enos Cecil Smith age 54 years of Musgrave Harbour on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander. Predeceased by his father James Smith; grandparents Allan and Effie Smith and Cecil and Elsie Mouland.
