COUGHLIN, STEPHEN ANDREW
August 10, 1973 - May 1, 2012

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Andrew Coughlin on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the age of 38 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Renee (nee Tucker); darling son Noah; parents Philip and Margaret Coughlin, Glenwood; parents-in-law Malcolm and Muriel Tucker, Meadows; sisters-in-law: Glynis (Alan) Ellsworth, Natalie (Dale) Merry and Tina Pittman; brother-in-law Blair Tucker; nieces and nephews: Natasha (Jason) Merry, Derrica Merry, Melanie and Matthew Ellsworth, Alexander Pittman, Christina and Casey Joyce; great-niece Jaida Merry; aunts and uncles: Rose Mary (Gene) Gray, Theresa (Wayne) Anstey, Elsie Hammond, Lindsay, Baxter and Wesley Reid; as well as a large circle of cousins, other relatives, co-workers at the Halifax Airport and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Netta M. (Coughlin) Crowell, Phillip B. Coughlin, Edith Howse, Austin Reid, step-grandfather Kenneth Crowell, grandparents-in-law Frank and Evelyn Tucker. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Visitation continued on Friday beginning 2:00 p.m. from First United Church in Glenwood from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. interment followed at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health or a charity of one's choice. Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 Annie Eliza Attwood (nee King) age 83 years. Predeceased by her parents John and Ruth King; husband Peter; brothers William and Ralph; sister Mabel Burry; brother-in-law Eric Burry. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Harry (Avril) of Badger's Quay, Phillip (Debra) of Badger's Quay, Dennis (Jackie) of Ottawa and Curtis (Tonya) of Badger's Quay; daughters Peggy Hoyles (Ken) of Brookfield, Elsie Spurrell (Lloyd) of Badger's Quay and Carol Attwood of Ottawa; brother Melvin King (Genevieve) of Templeman; sisters-in-law Phyllis King of Pool's Island and Susie King of Pool's Island; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. BRENTON, Clifford
May 9, 1939- May 3, 2012
Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on May 3rd, 2012, Clifford D. Brenton of Glovertown in his 77 year. Leaving with a lifetime of memories; his wife of 54 years, Betty (nee Day), children; Diane Bishop of St. John's, Clifford Jr. and Ulla of Doha, The Rev. Canon Jean Brenton-Hickman & Robert Hickman of Cow Head, Bruce and Sharon of St John's. Grandchildren; Adam Bishop (Katherine), Christopher Brenton (Moya), Anthony Brenton (Nicole), Andrew Bishop (Meagan), Tim Slade (Ashley), Ben Slade, Josh Slade, Dylan Brenton, Jordan Brenton, Ethan Bishop, Brandon Bishop, Mike Hickman (Raina) & Matt Hickman. Great Grandchildren; Henry-Lee Brenton, Alexia & Sophia Bishop, Harlow Brenton & Reid Hickman. Siblings: Clyde Brenton, Geraldine Button(Len), Elsie Hiscock, Bill Keats (Olive), Albert Keats. In-Laws: Gerald Day (Shirley), Eric Day (Marion), Cecil Day(Margaret), Jean Pynn (Gerry), Alma Day, Dorothy Brenton and large number of special nieces and nephews and extended family. Cliff will also be missed by his large circle of good friends. Cliff was predeceased by his parents; Charles and Annie Brenton, step-father James Keats; son-in-law Glynn Bishop, siblings George, Harvey, and Effie; brothers-in-law Ebe Hiscock, Hugh Day (Mabel), and Duke Day. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home, Glovertown. The funeral service took place on May 8th from St. Edward's Anglican Church in Glovertown and was officiated by Rev. Betty Harbin.

WHITE, Margaret
Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, Margaret White (nee Wallace) age 92 years of Wesleyville. Margaret was born at Glasgow, Scotland on November 17, 1919 to the late John and Annie Wallace. At an early age she voluntarily joined The Auxiliary Territorial Service, Britain from 1942-1944. Shortly after she moved to Port Nelson, Newfoundland with she husband and daughter. Margaret was a faithful soldier of The salvation Army Corps, New-Wes-Valley for many years. She is predeceased by her husband; Martin White and sister; Marie Wallace. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughter; Ann (Gordon Sturge) of Wesleyville, sisters; Ann and Jean, grandchildren; Kimberly (Gordon) and Darrell (Melissa), great granddaughter; Kelly (Justin) and great-great granddaughter; Emily and a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral service took place on Monday, May 7, 2012 at The Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley with Lieutenants Brent and Melissa Haas officiating. Passed peacefully away at the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital, Labrador City on Wednesday May 9th 2012 Mona (Bonnie) Pritchett age 91. Predeceased by husband Fred (Pobo), brothers Austin (Lizzy) Brake, Clayton (Win) Brake, sister Amelia (Ruben) Burden, son-in-law Lloyd Spencer and beloved cat Tom Puss. Left with loving memories are her son Gary (Bev) of Labrador City, daughters Kate Spencer of Mount Pearl and Judy (Eli) Loder of Labrador City, grandchildren Shawn (Darlene) Spencer, Kelly(Michelle) Spencer, Bob Pritchett, Nicky Spencer, Nancy Loder, Mark Pritchett, and Jill(Dave) Loder- George, great grandchildren Devyn, Kristen, Mackayla, Peyton, Jacob, Cameron, Ryan, Brady, Hayden, Emma-Grace, Luke, Nathaniel, Tyler and Brandon. Passed peacefully away at her home in Glenwood with her three daughters, son, sister and brother by her side on May 15th 2012 Phyllis Skiffington age 81 years. of Barrie passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, ON, on Thursday, May 17th 2012 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Brenda. Loving father of Cyndy Donohue (Pat), Karen Keyes, Steven (Mira), Sheila Keyes-Cote (Al), Brock (Denise), Rich (Cindy) and Tracy Hartwick Oxby (Jason) Cherished Grand poppa of Mathieu (Paige), Alexandre, CC, Amy-J, Jody, Jacinda, Danica, Louisa, Mandy, Diane, Sarah, Jessica Shannon, Caleb, and Aurora Dear Great-Grand poppa of Cadence and Juliette. Passed away at Bonnews Lodge in Badger's Quay on Thursday, May 17, 2012, Mr. Walter Bemister of Musgrave Harbour in his 90th year. Pre-deceased by his wife Evelyn, son Maxwell, daughter-in-law Venice and three brothers. She passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Saturday, May 26, after a battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father, Dominic and sister Andrea. TESSIER, Carl
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 Carl Tessier, age 67. Carl David Tessier was born September 21, 1944 in Grand Bank, Newfoundland to parents Fred and Mary Tessier (nee Buffett). Carl's career began as an active member of the Navy. Following time served, Carl launched what would turn out to be a successful business and political life. Carl had a long list of community involvement including active participation with St. Martin's Anglican Church, the Kinsmen Club, Gander River Management, Kittiwake Coast Association, the Airport Authority, Municipal Town Council and many more. Carl was extremely proud of his work with the Progressive Conservative Party. Carl had a natural green thumb and was considered an expert hobbyist in both his crafts: Gardening and wine making. Above everything, family was always Carl's top priority. Carl was a loving, caring, and passionate family man. A devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather, he took it on himself to ensure a quality standard of living for those around him. Carl's latest passion in life was his two Granddaughters, Jane and Kate. The friends and family of Mark and his wife Kelly are committed to ensuring Jane and Kate have long lasting memories of their Grampy Tessier. The passion and integrity Carl demonstrated during his career, his special interests, and in his family life was contagious. He led a life that others will strive to adopt and learn from. He will always be remembered for his contribution to improving the lives of those around him, including those who haven't had the pleasure of breaking bread with Carl Tessier. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Tessier, father-in-law Fred Kirby, sister Eloise Tessier. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Anne Tessier, son Mark (Kelly) of Gander, brothers Jim (Anne) of Grand Bank, Bruce (Marilyn) of St. John's, Rick of St. John's, grandchildren Jane and Kate and a large circle of relatives and friends.
