WISEMAN, Flora -
Passed peacefully away on May 5, 2003 at Lakeside Homes, Gander, Flora Wiseman, formerly of Trinity, B. Bay, age 89 years. Predeceased by her husband, Samuel Wiseman; parents, William and Mary Jane Norris; daughters, Wilhelmina and Dina; son, William; grandson, Cory Wiseman; sister, Myrtis Brown; and brother, Frederick Norris. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are six sons, Richard (Nita), Gavrock (Gwendolyn), Wilfred (Wilhelmina), Clayton (Violet), all of Trinity, B. Bay, Ralph (Ann) of Topsail and Winston of Trinity, B. Bay; two daughters, Hettie Higdon of Gambo, Hanna (Abraham French) of Mount Pearl; brother, Israel Norris (Hamutal) of Trinity, B. Bay; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on May 7th at St. Alban's Anglican church, Trinity with Rev. R. Osmond officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Trinity, B. Bay. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity,. B. Bay. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.

HOWELL, Terry -
Passed away on May 5, 2003 at Burnaby General Hospital, B.C., Terry Howell, Jr. of Templeman, age 33 years. Predeceased by his sister, Tanya. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his parents, Roma and Terrance; son, Guile; daughter, Tanya; sister, Kelly (Chris); grandparents, Baxter and Dorothy Perry, Clifton and Marcella Howell; aunts and uncles, Eileen (Lewis), Nellie (Frank), Earl (Sharon), Guy (Phyllis), Cheryl (Don), Carl (Cindy), Barry (Nadine), Kimberly, Len (Kate), Shirley (Ray), Valeda (Jim), Nellie (Carl), Rick (Ann), Tony (Brenda), Cindy (Clyde); numerous cousins and a large circle of friends. Funeral service took place on May 11th at St. Mark's United Church, Templeman with Rev. Miriam Bowlby officiating. Interment followed at St. Thomas United Cemetery, Pound cove. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.

CASHIN, Augustine (Gus) Michael -
Passed peacefully away on May 9, 2003 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Gus Cashin, age 65 years. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Gregory, and brother, Brendan. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife, Nina (nee Lane), daughter, Barbara Vivian (John); sons, Richard, Neil (Nancy), Brian (Joanne), Michael and Ron (Jennie); grandchildren, Crystal, Stephen, Jordan and Ryan; sisters, Magdalen Patey (Bert), Genevieve and Angela Van Humbeck; brother, Ronald (Margie); sister-in-law, Linda; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo, NL. Funeral Mass was held on May 12th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Donations in his memory may be made to the Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.

STOKES, Eric -
Passed peacefully away on May 9, 2003 at Brookfield Hospital, Eric Stokes of Lumsden, age 64 years. Predeceased by his wife, Ida; parents, Sandy and Mary Jane Stokes; granddaughter, Corina Stokes. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son, Jeffrey (Carol) of Lumsden; daughters, Janice (Carson Melindy), Jeannette (Paul Gibbons), Jeanie Stokes, all of Lumsden; brothers, Walter (Lorraine) of Tumbleridge, BC. Jethro (Reta) of Deadman's Bay; sister, Shirley Holwell (David Bradbury) of Churchill Falls; grandchildren, Lee Melindy (Pam), Darren Melindy, Cory Stokes, Jonathan Stokes, Douglas and Emily Gibbons; great-grandchild, Charles Stagg; many nieces, nephews and a close circle of friends. Funeral service was held on May 11th at the United church, Deadman's Bay with Captains Raymond and Sheri Feltham officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Deadman's Bay. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.

MOULAND, Wilhelmina -
Passed away on May 12, 2003 at Lakeside Homes in Gander, Mrs. Wilhelmina Mouland of Musgrave Harbour in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband, Allan Mouland; son, Clarence; great-grandson, Gregory; three brothers, George Homes, Claude George Holmes, Claude Holmes and Harvey Holmes; and one sister, Netta Goodyear. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three sons, Newman (Teenie) of Musgrave Harbour, Wallace (Elizabeth) of Musgrave Harbour and Winston (Joyce) of Musgrave Harbour; one daughter, Olive Mouland (Newman) of Gander; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on May 15th at the Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour. Interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lakeside Homes in Gander. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour/Pound Cove.

BRAZIL, Bernard Benedict (1948-2003) -
Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Agape Hospice, Calgary, AB., Bernard Benedict Brazil, formerly of Gander, NL. Leaving to mourn his best friend and wife, Gloria Bardos; five children, Steven (Angie), Tanya, Bernie Jr., Chad (Jennifer) and Sheldon; one precious granddaughter, Melissa; three stepchildren, John (Motoko), Cory (Tracey), and Leann (Alex). Also leaving to mourn five brothers, Gerald (Yvonne), Leo (Patricia), Don (Kerry), Pat and Gregory; eight sisters, Shirley (Jim Witshyn), Marie (Dale Rideout), Pauline (John McDonald), Linda (Serge Couture), Eleanor (Roy Hobbs), Barbara (Jerry James), Eileen (Herb Newhook), and Madonna plus a wife circle of family and friends. Cremation and memorial held in Calgary on May 16th. A memorial to follow in Gander on May 24, 2003 at St. Joseph's Church. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in his memory to a cancer charity of one's choice. He has joined the other angels in heaven.

WICKS, Scott -
Passed away suddenly on May 14, 2003 at Whitby, Ontario, Scott Wicks, formerly of Wareham, age 51 years. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Janet Wicks, three brothers, Abasolomn, Norman, Robert; sister, Margaret; father-in-law, Gilbert Pickett; nephew, Vernon Pickett. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Betty; daughter, Patrina (David Turner) of Whitby, ON; son, Boyde Higgins (Jackie) of Grand Falls-Windsor; brother, William Wicks (Elizabeth) of Wareham; sisters, Serena (Christopher Wicks) of Hare Bay, Margaret (Ezra Pickett) of Whitby, ON; Juanita (Eugene Cutler) of Whitby, ON; two grandchildren, Danielle and Rebecca Higgins; mother-in-law, Lavinia Pickett of Whitby, ON and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on May 18th at the Anglican Church, Wareham with Rev. R. Osmond officiating, assisted by Rev. Harry Spurrell. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Wareham. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.

LEDREW, Marjorie -
Passed away on the 15th of May, 2003, Marjorie Ledrew of Wing's Point, age 71, daughter of Blanche and the late Chesley Squires. Predeceased by husband, Malcolm, daughter, Daisy and father, Chesley. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, mother, Blanche; children, Riley, Robert, Toby, Randy, Gloria, Patsy, Venica, Phyllis, Mary, Karen, Rosie, Pauline, Corena, and Eileen; brothers, Overton, Milton, Bruce, and Gordon; 39 grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral services took place on the 17th of May at the Pentecostal Church in Wing's Point, Gander Bay. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home in Lewisporte. The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support. Her beautiful smile and loving ways will never be forgotten. (Note: Misprint on the church bulletin. Marjorie was born in Wing's Point, Gander Bay not Change Islands).

NIPPARD, Natasha -
Passed away on May 17, 2003 at the Janeway Child Health Center in St. John's, Natasha Nippard of Musgrave Harbour in her 7th year. Predeceased by her Nanny Mouland. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her parents, Craig and Charlene; grandparents, Wayde Nippard of Harbour Grace, Mary Nippard of Musgrave Harbour, Sterling and Daphyne Hodder of Davidsville; great-grandfathers, Maxwell Mouland of Musgrave Harbour and Norman Nippard (Kathleen) of Main Point; two aunts, Lisa Tarrant (Abram) of Musgrave Harbour and Jennifer Hodder (Mervin) of Horwood; one uncle, Peter Nippard (Angie) of Musgrave Harbour; four cousins, Samantha, Cody, Tyler and Alicia; also a large circle of other relatives. Funeral service took place on May 21st at the Pentecostal Church in Musgrave Harbour. Interment at Pentecostal Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour-Pound Cove.

BAULD, Ivy Pearl -
Passed peacefully away into the presence of her Lord on May 25, 2003 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander. Born November 20, 1923 at Clarkes Head, Gander Bay, where she lived all of her life. Leaving to mourn, three sons, Elam, Terry, Tobias; three daughters, Phyllis, Robina, Elaine; 1 adopted son, Boyce; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. Pearl was the daughter of Henry George and Bessie Gillingham who raised eleven children, all have passed away with the exception of her younger brother, Ivan who resides at Appleton. Funeral services were held at Wing's Point Pentecostal Tabernacle, May 28, 2003.

BLACKMORE, Arthur Diamond
(February 7, 1922 - May 25, 2003)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Diamond Blackmore of Pasadena, announce his passing on May 25, 2003 at the W.M.R. Hospital in his 81st year. Predeceased by his son, Earl; parents, Alexander and Gertrude Blackmore; brothers, Frederick and William. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Flossie (nee Gill); one daughter, Alvina (Eric) Morris of Pasadena; one daughter-in-law, Pansy Blackmore of Harbour Breton; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Edward), Beverly (Eddie), Cameron (Stephanie) and Eddie (April); three great-grandchildren; Brandon, Bradley and Heather; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place May 27th at St. David's Anglican Church in Pasadena with Rev. Carol Daley officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake.

LUSH, Elsie M. (nee Andrews) -
Passed peacefully away on May 26th, 2003 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Elsie M. Lush (nee Andrews) of Gander, formerly of Winterton. Predeceased by husband, Geddes Lush. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughters, Joan (Max Haggett) of Riverview, NB; Beverley Lush of Appleton, NL; and Rhonda Neynens of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Lisa, Derek, Sherisse, Shacara, Joel, Craig and Shaun; great-grandchildren, Robert, Eric, and Dawson; brother, Fred Andrews of Toronto, ON; and sister, Isobel Heveysege of California. Funeral service was held on May 28th at Fraser Road United church, Gander, with interment at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. Donations in Mrs. Lush's memory can be made to Fraser Road United Church or a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.

STAGG, Lucy -
Passed peacefully away on May 27, 2003 at Brookfield Hospital, Lucy Stagg of Wesleyville, age 80. Predeceased by her parents, George and Minnie Stokes; son, Baby Stagg; brother, Aubrey Stokes; brothers-in-law, Guy Stagg and Jo Mullett. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Cecil; two sons, Nelson (Sophie) of St. John's, Hubert of Labrador City; three daughters, Maisie (Dave Grey) of Lumsden, Irene (Walter Lloyd) of Halifax, Kathleen (Eric Welcher) of Badger's Quay; one brother, Martin Stokes (Edith) of Badger's Quay; three sisters, Violet Stagg of Cape Freels, Evelyn Mullett of Bay Roberts, Daisy Goodney of Saint John, NB; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on May 29th at the Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville with Rev. T. Cole officiating, assisted by Rev. J. Watton. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Cape Freels. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.

BURTON, Samuel -
Passed peacefully away on May 28, 2003 at Lakeside Homes, Gander, Mr. Samuel Burton, in his 80th year. Predeceased by sister, Lillian 1948. Left with loving memories are wife, Ivy; son, Gerald (Elizabeth) of Fort McMurray; daughter, Doreen (Clifton) Stacey of Halifax; brother, Martin (Eileen) of Goose Bay; sister, Annie (Winston) Parsons of Deer Lake; grandchildren, Donna Stacey and Gary Burton; great-grandchildren, Treasure, Trevor, Taylor Burton and Cody and Ashley Stacey. Also, a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service took place Saturday, May 31st, 2003 from the Pentecostal Church, Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to the Giddons or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements through Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.
