Predeceased by husband Claude; parents Willis and Amelia Cooper; brothers Max, Allen, Dan, Victor and Chester, and sisters Rebecca, Vernie and Miriam. She was the last of the Cooper clan. Survived by son Stan (Lorraine) of Hampton, NB and daughter Lily (Tom) Jones of Gander, NL; Grandsons Tony (Michelle) Clouter of Whitby, ON and Andrew (Sarah Phelps) Clouter of Newcastle, England; granddaughters Jennifer (David) Lanciault of Calgary, AB and Alison (Doug) Kramer of Sherwood Park, AB; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Makayla Clouter, Sutton Clarke and Lauren, Samantha and Benjamin Kramer; sister-in-law Phyllis Cooper and brother-in-law Jim Warren, and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Mom was the strong, silent type who worked hard for the benefits of the family, the church, many family business interests and volunteer groups in the community. She did not want to accept any credit for work well done, and equally important, none of the blame (Lol)! Mom was someone who could always be counted on, and she shared all her talents and treasures with so many people she met in life. Our family home was open to many friends and family over the years, giving shelter and meals as long as there was a need. She often said she should have written a book to keep the memories of all she and dad took in!
Mom had a smile that could light up any room, a big heart, and she always enjoyed a good story and a laugh. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Martins Cathedral, Gander. Special thanks to Boyd and Eleanor Brown who took special care of mom, the staff of the Nightingale Manor, the doctors and nurses at James Paton Memorial Health Center who cared for her. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held Thursday March 16th at St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Donations in Mildred's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Please visit www.staceysfuneralhome.ca to sign our online guest book. Arrangements entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander /Carmanville.

"That man is a success - who has lived well, laughed often and loved much;
who has gained the respect of intelligent men and love of children;
who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
who leaves the world better than he found it;
who has never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it;
who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had."
May you be our guardian angel, until we meet again
