Andrews of Wesleyville, age 79. Left to mourn with fond and

HOWELL, Leo Gordon
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital,
Gander on June 4, 2001, Leo Gordon Howell, of
Carmanville, age 78. Leo was a World War II veteran, a member
of the Orangemen's Lodge, Royal Back Precepture, and worked
as an officer with the Department of Forestry. Predeceased
by wife Maunda, brother Chesley and sister, Mary Hicks. Left
with loving memories are special friend, Gertie Brown and family;
daughters Henrietta (Lloyd) Harris of Warkworth, Ont., Kathleen
(James) Hannaford of Calgary, Atla., Caville (Guy) Bixby of

Passed away tragically on June 5, 2001 in Labrador, Mr.
Clarence R. Chaulk of Aspen Cove in his 47th year.
Predeceased by his parents Clyde and Daisy Chaulk. Left with

daughters, Tanya Butler (Frank) of Musgrave Harbour, and Trena

Tragically killed on June 5, 2001, Ed Myrick of
Gander, age 49. Predeceased by his father Robert in April 2000.

Passed away at Moncton Hospital on June 16, 2001, Patrick
J. Kelly, age 67 years. Born in Gambo, he was the son of
Mary and the late Ronald Kelly. Pat retired from the Ministry
of Transport (Airports) with 35 years service. He is survived
by his wife Elaine (Wornock) Kelly; mother Mary Kelly of Gander;
stepchildren Kim Champagne of Thompson, Man., Dr. Brent (Susan)
Steele of Port Hope, Ont.; grandchildren Kristie and Kyle Champagne;
brothers Leonard (Robina) of Gambo, Alonzo (Josephine) of St.
John's, Lester (Alice), of Gander, Dr. Ronald (Sandra) Kelly
of Gander, Kevin (Cathy) of Lower Sackville, N.S.; sisters, Lillian
Parsons of St. John's, Kathleen of Gander, Mary Furey (Jack)
of Lower Sackville, N.S. and Anne Hickey (Steve) of Quispamsis,

Passed away suddenly at her home in Lumsden on June 17, 2001, Naida
B. Robbins, age 77. Predeceased by parents Minnie and Allan
Yates and dear brother Otto. Sadly missed by Cyril, her husband
of 57 years; daughters, Betty Sheppard (Doug) of Corner Brook,
Gloria Bullock (Gary) of London, ON and Janice Evans of Corner
Brook; grandchildren, Andrea Vardy (Greg), Douglas Sheppard,
Heather and Matthew Bullock, and Andrew Evans; one great-grandson
Cole Vardy; sisters-in-law Edna, Ivy, and Edna Robbins and Mae

faithful and active member of the United Church and served in
various capacities both locally and provincially. Funeral service

Memorial Hospital, Gander, Marion Bride Hicks, age 81.
Predeceased by first husband Bertram Steele in 1964; second husband,
Joseph Hicks in 1996; parents Tobias and Millie; daughter Ettie
chandler in 1991; son-in-law Peter Fehr in 2001; and brother
Maxwell Hicks. Left with loving memories are daughters Donna
