The Blandford family would like to announce the celebration of the life of Nellie Verona Blandford. She passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 30, 2013. Nellie was born in Port Blandford on November 7, 1926 to wonderful parents - Annie and Thomas Garrett. Predeceased by her husband Sam, two brothers Austin and Frank and her sister, Edna. Her memory is cherished by son Glen (Sharon), daughter Audrey Elms (Howard), son Bill (Verna), son Gary (Carnah), daughter Sandra (Jeff) and daughter-in-law Judy Blandford. Nine grandchildren - Steve Elms (Kim), Brad Elms (Wendi); David Blandford (Sherri), Amanda Blandford (Warren); Sara Strickland (Matt), Garrett, Jared and Samantha Blandford and Taylor Searle. Six great grandchildren - Jack and Sam Elms, Brynn, Ben and Dylan Elms and Megan Blandford, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
