Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander, on June 4th, 2010, Catherine Aylward, age 95. Predeceased by her husband Anthony, brothers Walter, William, Felix, sister, Dorothy. Left to mourn with warm and loving memories are her son, Matthew (Ellen) of Mount Pearl, daughter, Marie (Jim) Badcock of Gander; grandchildren, Jeff, Sherrie, John Badcock, Brian, Julie, Bradley, Darrell Alyward; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Aidan, Liam, Ryan, Parker and a number of nephews, nieces and friends. Special friends, Madeline Bishop and Mary Quinton. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Mass took place from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gander followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery. WALL, Gregory Patrick (Pat) (October 14th 1940 to June 4th, 2010) -
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pat Wall of Appleton on June 4th, 2010 at Lakeside Homes in Gander, age 69 years. Predeceased by his parents, Gregory and Mary Wall. Left to mourn with loving memories, sister, Margaret Carew (Thomas) of Cape Broyle; brother, Thomas Wall (Barbara) of Aquaforte; nephew, Paul Carew (Michelle, deceased); children, Kassie, Joshua, Brittany and Madison of Nova Scotia; nephew, Michael Carew of Cape Broyle; nephew, Damien Carew (Michelle); children, Anthony, Kristen, Cole, Gregory of Nova Scotia; niece, Danielle Wall; daughter, Samantha of St. John's. Also leaving to mourn special cousin, Dave Morrissey and his wife Phyllis of Appleton and many other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood on Saturday and Sunday, June 5th and 6th. Funeral Mass was held from the Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood. GILBERT, Emma Josephine -
Passed peacefully away at her home on June 4th, 2010, age 99 years and 8 months. Predeceased by her husband, Arminius (1992) and son, Lloyd (2009). Left to mourn with fond and loving memories two daughters, Mona MacDonald (Walter) and Patricia Hughes (Nathaniel); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Passed peacefully away on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Lakeside Homes, Gander in the presence of her loving husband, Eric of 64 years, Shirley Elizabeth Chaulk (nee Pygas) age 83 years. Predeceased by her parents, William and May Pygas; brothers, Joseph and Bernard Pygas; sister, Joan Forsey. Leaving to mourn with warm and loving memories are her husband, Eric; sons, Eric (Violet) Chaulk of Lewisporte, NL, David (Wavey) Chaulk of Dover NL; daughters, Elizabeth (Charles) Granter of St. Johns NL, Beverley (Bruce) Adam of Wabush NL; grandchildren, Roxanne Goodyear, Eric Granter, Chris Chaulk, Mike Adam, Erica Chaulk, Stephen Adam, Sarah Templeman, Jonathan Chaulk; great-grandchildren, Emily and Jonah Goodyear and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed away suddenly at his residence in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, June 6, 2010, Eric Roy Chaffey, age 50, formerly of Gander, Newfoundland. Predeceased by his father, Harold. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, children, Taylor (Blossom) and Jenny of Edmonton; partner, Darren of Calgary; mother, Sadie of Gander; sisters, Cathy (Dave) Mercer of Gander, Daphne (Tom) Rafuse of Gander, Grace (Chris) Bryant of Carbonear; brother, Bruce (Mary) Chaffey of Gander; nieces, Lori (Ryan) Anstey, Kayla Bryant, Chelsea Mercer; nephews, Justin (Heather Jean) Rafuse, Craig (Natalia) Bryant, Adam Mercer and great-niece, Reagan Anstey. Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Sunday, June 6, 2010, Jean B. Hefferton, age 92 years of Newtown. Predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Beatrice Hall; husband, Joseph; daughter, Bernice; son, John (Jack); son-in-law, Fred Davis; sister, Olive Hall; brothers, Mac, Baxter, Cyril and Woodrow Hall. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Walter (Gertrude) of Templeman, Mac (Phyllis) of Newtown, Conrad (Cecelia) of Newtown and Selwyn of Dover; daughters, Joan Davis of Labrador City and Audrey Perry (Percy) of Newtown; daughter-in-law, Darlene Hefferton of Winnipeg, Manitoba; brother, Harry Hall (Carrie) of Toronto; sister, Megan Seymour of Eastport; twelve grandchildren, Suzanne, Deedee, Alan, Amberly, Marc, Michael, Brad, Kelly, Brent, Lynn Anne, Jessica, John; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away the Health Science Center on June 8, 2010, Stephen James Parrott, age 56 Years. Predeceased by his wife, Marjorie; parents, Darius and Charlotte Coward; sister, Annie; brothers-in-law, George Blackwood and Chesley Woolridge. Predeceased by husbands, Lloyd Squires (1953), Walter Porter (2009); son, Scott (1991); brother, Reginald Gillingham; stepsisters, Eva Coffin, Gladys Purchase. DAWSON, Hilda May - (March 22, 1926 - June 16, 2010)
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on June 16, 2010, Hilda Dawson, age 83. Hilda Dawson (nee Saunders) was born in Gambo, Newfoundland to Frances and Lawrence Saunders. She married Fred Dawson of St. John's on January 6th, 1944. Predeceased by her mother, Francis and father, Lawrence. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Fred; sons, Larry (Michelle), Michael (Donna), Brian (Kay), Terry (Marlene), daughters, Pam (Marv), Joanne (Bryan); brother, Ross (Grace); sisters, Jean, Lena, Patsy (Bob); 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Sunday, June 20th. Funeral service took place on Monday, June 21st at 2:00 P.M. from St. Martin's Anglican Church. Predeceased by her husband, Sandy Harvey; parents, John and Elizabeth Coles; six brothers, John, Howard, Maxwell, Dorman, George, Jasper, and sister, Edith (Cavell). Left to mourn with loving are her four daughters, Ruby (Heber) Wheaton of Frederickton, NL, Sadie (Edward) Parks of Frederickton NL, Lorraine (Bruce) Goodyear of Badger's Quay, Linda (Oliver) of Edmonton, AB; three sons, Kenneth Harvey of Lakeside Homes, Gander NL, Larry (Gail Goudie) Harvey of Middle Arm, NL, Albert (Elsie) of Middle Arm, NL; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
