BRENTON, Dorothy Emma
Dec 31, 1932 - July 29, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Brenton announce her passing at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Sunday July 29th, 2018 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband George, her two babies Wade and Emily, son in law George Whey. She leaves to morn son Daniel (Phyllis ) of St John's; daughters Maisie (Carl) of Trinity, Bonnie (Reg) of St John's, Julia of Gander, Beverly (Neal) of Catalina and grandchild Tammy (Jamie) of Saint John. NB whom she raised as her own daughter; grandchildren, Christopher (Kim), Michael (Leah), Mathew (Melissa),Lisa (Campbell), Andrew (Michelle), Jonathan (Nicole), Jelyssa, Nicole (Michael), Nathan (Danielle), Nicholas (Rochelle); great-grandchildren, Tyler (Abby), Marcus, Elizabeth, Ryan, Coady , Jayda, Courtney, Kayley, Ethan, Parker, Emma and Abigail; great-great-granddaughter Olivia; brother Arthur, and a large circle of other family and friends.
Family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, Tuesday July 31st between the hours of 2-4 pm & 7-9pm. Wednesday Aug 1st from 2pm - 3:30 pm and 7pm - 9pm at the Anglican Church Trinity B Bay, Main St, Trinity, B Bay.
Funeral service Thursday August 2nd at 2:00 pm at the Anglican Church Trinity, B. Bay. Interment Anglican Cemetery. Donation can be made in Dorothy's memory to the Alzheimers Society.

BUDDEN, Ross
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, husband and friend Ross Budden, aged 67 years. To everyone that was fortunate enough to know Ross, knew he truly lived his life to the fullest. Every moment was spent wisely. He lived vigorously and vicariously, no matter what obstacles stood in his way. He was the centre of attention in any room, the life of the party, and always had a smile to give you. This is how we will remember Ross, a man that never stayed still; always had a place to be and people to see. Seen a friend in everyone and was loved by all.
Ross is predeceased by his father Ernest Budden, his mother Stella Budden, his sister Joyce Hodder (Francis), brother Leonard, and his grand daughter Bailey-Ray.
Left to mourn is his loving and supportive wife of 44 years, Marie Budden (nee Blake), his daughter Tina (Terry), his sons Richard (Michelle), and Stephen (Crysta). His grandchildren, who loved him dearly; Brooke (TJ), Brenna, Sydney, Tyler, Blake, and Brady. And finally Ross leaves behind his brothers, Alonzo (Geraldine), Edgar (Olive), Darrell (Betty), his sisters Ivey (Seth), Jacqueline (Albert), Helen (Scott), and Alice (Eugene), and his sister-in-law Mabel.
We would like to send our sincerest thanks to the wonderful staff at James Paton Memorial, as well at Health Science Centre, for their care over the last couple of years while Ross battled cancer.
Family will be receiving friends at the Riverside United Church, George's Point on Saturday June 30, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday July 1, 2018 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Wing's Point Pentecostal Church on Monday July 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. with interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Ross' memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

CARTER (nee Rideout), Elsie
May 25, 1927 - July 9, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we say our final goodbye to our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Elsie Carter who recently celebrated her 91st birthday with the family. She passed peacefully away on July 9th, 2018. Elsie was born in Whale's Gulch, Notre Dame Bay, on May 25, 1927, and settled in Gander with her husband, Raymond in the early days of the town and raised their family.
Leaving to mourn are sons: Donald (Marilyn), Robert (Jeanette); daughter Debbie (Wayne) Vardy as well as five grandsons Craig (Janet), Dean, Brad (Suzanne), Brent (Jenn) and Shawn (Angela Nimmo); great grandchildren: Ella, Claire, Sebastian and Charleigh; her remaining brother, Melvin (Joan) Rideout, the Buffett family, Agnes (John) Greer, Donna (Jim) Johnston and David; the Vardy family, Chris (Esther), Stephen (Jill), Cara, Madison and Finn and lifelong friend Fred Dawson and his family; a large circle of friends, special nieces and nephews, extended relatives and puppy dog, Carter.
Elsie became a proud Ganderite and always wanted Gander as her home. She worked for Kolsou Ltd. as a sales person, a buyer and a floor supervisor. She was active in the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many decades. She loved an active social life and truly enjoyed playing cards. She became a member of the 50+ Club and looked forward to their various events. As a 30- year cancer survivor, she supported efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Elsie's former home at 62 Hawker Crescent was adorned with many flower beds. Flowers are graciously accepted in her memory, or donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
She will be forever in our hearts and is now in the arms of the angels.
In keeping with Elsie's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe avenue, Gander on Thursday July 12, 2018 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday July 13, 2018 from the Fraser Road United Church, Gander at 2 p.m. officiated by Reverend Kathy Brett with interment to follow at All Saints cemetery. DWYER, Mary Anne
June 20, 1924 - July 23, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Dwyer announce her passing at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Monday July 23, 2018 at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her husband Greg Dwyer; son Joe; grandson Gregory; parents Jack & Frances Wall; sisters: Gertie, Eliza and brother Jack. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: Greg (Kit) of Gander, Richard (Darlene) of Fletchers Lake, N.S., Mike (Marie) of Ottawa, Bill (Cindy) of Gander, Steve (Angie) of Gander; daughters: Agnes (Jerry) of St. John's, Frances of Gander, Catherine (Wayne) of Gander, Clare (Ralph) of Gander; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; brother Leo (Florence) of Mount Pearl; sister Agnes (Cyril) of Stoneville, and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday July 25, 2018 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday July 26, 2018 from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father William Hearn with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Mary's memory may be made to The Recreation Department, Lakeside Homes. Woodrow Francis
passed peacefully away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the age of 54 years. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Bernice Francis; sister: Laura Hutchings; nieces: Shea Burry. Left to mourn are his children: Jill Ellsworth, Kendra Francis, James Francis; siblings: Norman (Joan) Francis, Gary (Marina) Francis, Elizabeth (Raymond) Cole, Kimberley Francis. As well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews. Large circle of loving friends and supportive colleagues. Cremation has taken place. Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Monday, July 30th, 2018, Michael Gillingham, age 52. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Annie Gillingham, 2 infant brothers and 2 brother-in-laws, john Gillingham and Calvin Coles. Left to mourn with loving memories are his brothers Chesley (Grace), Baxter (Effie), Cluny (Flossie), Kevin (Viola), Eugene (Doreen), Gerald (Cindy), Randy (Marie), sisters Violet (Earl), Susie (Clar), Beulah (Roland), Marilyn, Rowena (Gilmore), Sandra (Craig), a large circle of nieces and nephews, Larry and Theresa Granter and Michael's Homecare Workers. JANES, John Franklin
December 11, 1949 - July 31, 2018

Jack, darling husband, lifelong love and best friend of Ingrid and devoted father to Jayda (Shawn) and Vicki (Aaron) left us with a lifetime of beautiful memories. He was predeceased by his parents Pearl and Nelson; sisters: Myrtle Kean & Brenda Hearn and brother Obie. Leaving with the most fond and loving memories the Kuehn family and their large circle of friends in Germany; sister Barbara Gill; sister-in-law Ann Janes, brothers-in-law: Captain Caleb Kean, Cator Gill, John Hearn and their families. Jack will be missed by their many loyal and supportive friends. Donations in memory of Jack may be made to a charity of one's choice. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Maude Mullins announces her passing at the James Paton Hospital in Gander on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the age of 91 years, of Harbour Breton. She leaves to mourn with precious memories her loving family: daughters, Doreen (Rennie) at Harbour Breton and Laura Langille at Berwick, NS; sons, Roland (Evelyn), Ralph, all at Harbour Breton, Randell (Olive), Jerry (Fran), all at Dartmouth, NS, Lloyd (Eliza Ann), Kevin (Anita), all at Harbour Breton, John (Rose) at St. Alban's, Sandy (Maisie) at Harbour Breton and Darrell at Labrador City; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Harding (Jessie) at Dartmouth, NS and Lloyd Harding (Betty) at Sandyville; plus a number of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Effie; parents, Frank and Effie Harding; sister, Phoebe; brothers, George and Eric Harding; daughter-in-law, Alfreda Mullins. Passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family, Gander on Thursday, July 26th, 2018, Marion Norris, age 87. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Neta Davis, husband Percy, brothers Jim and Bruce and her sister Shirley.
