MacMILLAN, George
At the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on Monday, July 2, 2012, George MacMillan, of Alexandra, PEI, age 71 years. Beloved husband of Carole (nee Blackwood). Dear father of Pamela Kennedy (Andrew) and Peter MacMillan (Linda). Loving grandfather of Abigail MacMillan. Brother of Gavan (Ellen-deceased), Mary Carragher (Ralph), Frank (Jane), Leo, Florence Richards (Charlie - Deceased), Gerald, Wilfred (Marilyn). Brother-in-law of Barbara MacMillan. Predeceased by his parents Ambrose and Florence (Driscoll) MacMillan and by his brother Joe. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Sunday at 9:30, then to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Internment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. MacLEAN, Bernice
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Monday, July 2nd, 2012 Bernice L. MacLean, age 86. Predeceased by her parents Curtis and Beatrice Boone, husband Walter, baby son and baby sister. Left with loving memories are her sons Harris (Mary) of Port Hawkesbury, NS; Philip of Gander, daughter Janice of Gander, grandchildren Nikki (Tim) Collins, Meagan and Casey MacLean, Ryan (Kerri) MacLean, great-grandchildren Delaney Collins, Laura Falyn MacLean, long time family friend Gloria Sheppard and a circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander Funeral service was held Saturday, July 7th at 11:00 A.M. from the Fraser Road United Church. Interment, All Saints Cemetery. RAYMOND, Ann
On July 02, 2012, we lost our dear Ann, who was an inspiration to everyone who knew her, Ann touched the lives of so many people it just shows how much love she had to share. Her spirit will surely continue to live on in all of us. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Sylvia Bussey. Father and Mother-in-law Bill and Eileen Raymond, brothers-in-law Jack Raymond, Alex Geange. Left to mourn with loving memories the love of her life Ken, brothers Keith, Bruce (Sherry), Glenn (Gail), sisters Jane (Doug) Foley, Lynn, sisters-in-law Brenda Geange, Jean (Bill) Peckford. Also she will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews who held a very special place in her heart. As did her many other relatives and countless friends. We love you Ann! HANN, Rosalie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Rosalie Patricia Hann age 63 years of Pound Cove on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Brookfield Hospital. Predeceased by her parents James and Elsie Pendergast; father-in-law Andrew Hann. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Wesley; son Michael (Ashley) of Sudbury, ON.; daughter Judy Winter (Barry) of Badger's Quay; brother James Pendergast Jr. (Eileen) of Bell Island; mother-in-law Sadie Hann of Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay; sister-in-law Ruby Dyke (Cyril) of Wesleyville; brothers-in-law John Hann (Zelda) of Wesleyville and Clyde Hann (Sheila) of Iqaluit; grandchildren Caroline, Andrew, Courtney, Caitlin and Marisa; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. ANSTEY, John H. G.
It is with deep sadness that the family of John H.G.Anstey announce the passing of their beloved Father on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Halifax. Nova Scotia. Born in Twillingate, NL in 1926, John is predeceased by his wife Julia and sisters, Mabel Dickson, Lucy Keeping, Flora Broderick and Amy Peyton. John is survived by his 3 Children - Son Wayne (Theresa) of Barrie, Ont; daughters Sandra Jardine (linda) of Tugun, Austrailia and Beverley (Bill) of Halifax, N.S. as well as Sisters Marjorie Haynes of Goose Bay, NL, Rose Walsh of Gander. NL and Dauphnew Chafe (John) of Twillingate, NL. John also leave behind 6 Grandchildren and 10 great-Grandchildren. John had been a very successful businessman who worked as an Accountant with Bowater Paper Company and at Eastern Provincial Airways. Later he became Manager of the Gander Co-Op Store, operated the first Irving Gas Station in Gander and then built his own grocery business in Gander known to all as Anstey Supermarket. John had also been the Mayor of Gander. Upon his retirement, John returned to his beloved birthplace - Twillingate, Nl. Where is also served as the Town Mayor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a past Master of the Twillingate Lodge. John has been entrusted to Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate, NL where a visitation will be held from 7 - 9 pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the Saint Peters Anglican Church on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Passed peacefully away at the Central NL Regional Health Center, Grand Falls - Windsor, NL on July 20th 2012 Emily Power age 91 years. Predeceased by husband Peter and son Russell. Left with loving memories are her daughter Hilda (Jerry) White of Gander, son Gordon (Beverley) Power of Paradise, grandchildren Linda (Dion) Mulrooney , Elaine White, Connie White (Ross Luther) all of Gander, Deidre (Mike) Ryan of Marystown, Melissa Power of Grandfalls- Windsor, Nicole (Nick) Gowing of BC, Renne Power (Chris Stuckless) of St. John's, great grandchildren Sarah Mulrooney, Megan and Peter Power, Elizabeth Power. Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 Dorman Hector Goodyear age 99 years of Lumsden. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Julia Goodyear; wife Bessie; daughters Marilyn Goodyear and Olive O'Quinn; sisters Mary and Myrtle; brothers Samuel and Wilbert, sons-in-law; Edward Davis, Raymond Hunt and Ted Tiller. Left with fond and loving memories are his son Clyde (Evelyn) of Templeman; daughters Myrtle Hunt of Lumsden, Joan (Ralph Guy) of Musgrave Harbour, Edna (Robert Baldasio) of California, USA., Maggie (Wayne Stockley) of Gander and Mary (Bill White) of Newtown; son-in-law David O'Quinn of Stephenville; 24 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Left to mourn with loving memories are his son Patrick (Leona) of Gander, daughters Claudette (Darrin) Head of Gander, Doris (George) Dwyer of Gander, Ivy (Clarence) Coates of Gander, Tina (John) Layte of Summerford, Crystal Abbott of Gander, brothers George (Gladys) of Noggin Cove, John of Ontario, sisters Shirley (Junior) Hayward of Musgrave Harbour, Louise (Junior) Bursey of Ontario, grandchildren Ivan, Trudy, Chris, Kayla, Megan, Samantha, Tracey, Vicki, Dillon, Shakara, Hayley, 7 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center, Gander on July 30th 2012 Josephine Samson age 79 years. Predeceased by husband Herbert , parents William and Catherine Knox, sons William and Edward, brothers Thomas (Thos), Patrick , sister Rita and daughter-in-law Myrna. Left with loving memories are her sons Pat (Marie), Aiden, Terry (Donna) all of Glenwood, daughter Doreen of Glenwood, brother William (Martina) of St. Brendans, sisters Sade of St. John's, Nell of St. Brendans, Mary (Mike) Bridgeman of Pickering, ON., grandchildren Krista (Johnathan) Hanlon of Appleton, Julie Samson (Mitchell Gillingham) of Gander, Alexandria Samson of Glenwood, great grandchildren Jack and Wyatt Hanlon of Appleton, Maggie Samson Gillingham of Gander. POND, Donald David
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother; Donald David Pond age 65 years of Badger's Quay passed peacefully away on July 31, 2012 at Brookfield Hospital, Brookfield after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents George and Annie Pond. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Genny, son; David (Tracey) of Conception Bay South, daughters; Susan (Matt McKenna) of Clarenville, April (Neville Ashleigh) of Halifax, NS, brothers; Colin (Irene) of Badger's Quay, Sandy Campbell (Sophie) of Inverness, Scotland, sister; Diana (Frank Hounsell) of Mount Pearl, 9 grandchildren; Anissa, Victoria, Olivia, Abigail, Jacob, Keaira, Alvia, Ethan, Wyatt and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on August 2, 2012 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay with Rev. John Nicolle officiating.
