STAGG, Jerry Loyal -
Passed away suddenly at Brookfield Hospital on July 2, 2009, Jerry
Loyal Stagg,
age 83 years, of Valleyfield. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Emma
Stagg; two sisters, Ena Whalen and Jane Gibbons; and brother, Jack Stagg.
Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories are his wif,e Viola;
four daughters, Judy (Len Sturge) of Paradise , Janice (Ray Mason) of Valleyfield,
Christine (Dave Welcher) also of Valleyfield, and Cathy (Steve Lear) of Mount
Pearl; one sister-in-law, Betty Butt of Gander; nine grandchildren, Kelly
and Kristy Sturge, Alex Mason, Jennifer Lonergan, Josh, Katherine and Jordan
Welcher, and Allison and Adrianna Lear; one great-grandson, Devin Sturge;
and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral
service was held on July 4, 2009, at the United Church, Valleyfield, with
Rev. Heather Sandford officiating. Interment followed at the United Church
cemetery, Valleyfield. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and

FELTHAM, Konrad Alec -
With great sadness and beautiful memories the family of Konrad Feltham, 17,
of Sandy Point announce his sudden passing on Friday, July 3, 2009. Konrad
was a care-free, kind and fun-loving young man who will be missed immensely
by countless loving family and friends. A recent graduate of Lewisporte Collegiate,
Konrad loved to race his dirt bike. Born with "grease on his hands", he had
a fondness for taking apart anything that moved. With a quiet and easy going
nature, Konrad made life richer for everyone who had shared in his wonderful
but short life. Leaving with heavy hearts and cherished memories are his
parents, Kellie (Hancock) and Alec Feltham of Sandy Point: beloved sister,
Kristina Feltham and brother, Shane Peddle. Deeply missed by grandparents,
Gordon and Trixie Feltham (Collins) of Gambo; aunts and uncles, Joyce (Gerald
Howse and family, Hare Bay), Bride (Dominic Collins and family, Gambo), Beulah
(Gary Winters and family, Gambo), Denise (Joe Nadon and family, North Gower,
ON), Linda (Mike Glover and family, Trinity), Kenneth (Corrina and family,
Gambo). Also deeply missed by grandparents, Thomas and Lillian Hancock (Rogers)
of Sandy Point; aunts and uncles, Catherine (daughter, Sierra, Grande Prairie,
AB), Shannon (Gina and family, Grande Praireie, AB), Pennie (Marcel LeDrew
and family, Goulds), and Jodean (Roland Marsh and family, Churchill Falls).
Never to be forgotten by special brother, Steven Higgins; grand-friends,
Olive and Roy Leyte, and countless loving friends and family. Rev. Charles
Harris conducted funeral services at the Salvation Army Citadel, Bishop’s
Falls on July 8, 2009. Cremation to follow with a family service at a later
date. Pallbearers were Steven Higgins, Jordan Freake, Jeff Best, Richard
Pittman, Leonard Ellis, Nathan Feltham. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Russell,
Jeff Leyte, Chris Jerrett, Conrad Saunders and Stephen Kirby. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to the Konrad Feltham Memorial Scholarship.

Passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, July
6, 2009, Mrs. Mamie Abbott of Musgrave Harbour in her 91st year.
Predeceased by her husband, Dalton- 1997; granddaughter, Debbie Abbott; sister,
Louise Hicks; and 3 brothers, Roland Cuff, Harold Cuff and Gordon Hicks and
son-in-law, George Brinson. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are
her two sons, Larry Abbott (Ruby) of Musgrave Harbour, and Enos Abbott of Musgrave
Harbour; 4 daughters, Syretha Hicks (Tommy) of Musgrave Harbour, Shirley Jones
(Clarence) of Musgrave Harbour, Joan Abbott (Leo Goodyear) of Deadman’s Bay,
and Gloria Guy (Hedley) of Musgrave Harbour; 2 brothers, Jimmy Cuff (Joy) of
Musgrave Harbour, and Donald Cuff (Ivy) of Toronto; two sisters, Elsie Mouland
of Musgrave Harbour, and Jean Hicks (Cecil) of Musgrave Harbour; 2 sisters-in-law,
Triphenia Cuff of Gander; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a
large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral services took place
on Wednesday, July 8th from the Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour.
Interment followed from the Salvation Army Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour with
Mrs. Bernice Smithline (CSM) officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted
to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour-Wesleyville.
THORNHILL, Elsie (Nee Saunders) -
Passed peacefully away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on
July 12th, 2009, Elsie Thornhill of Gander, age
87 years. Predeceased by her husband, Max - July 2008, sister Violet, brother,
Issac, sisters-in-law, Muriel Saunders, Audrey Saunders & Rhoda Saunders.
Left with fond and loving memories are her brother, Hedley of Corner Brook,
brother-in-law, Lloyd Thornhill (Patsy) of St. John’s, as well as 24 nieces
and nephews and 43 grand-nieces and nephews, special friend, Abbie Adams.
Also a large circle of other family members and friends. Funeral services
was held Wednesday, July 15th at 2:00 P.M. from Fraser Road United Church,
Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations
in Elsie’s memory may be made to the Central Northeast Health Foundation

Passed away suddenly at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, on July
13, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, Kate Warren of
Glovertown, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Winnifred
Sweetapple; brother, Robert Sweetapple; sister, Maisie Sweetapple; sister-in-law,
Daisy Sweetapple; and nephew, Alistair Sweetapple. Left to mourn with precious
memories her husband of 65 years, RalphWarren; son, Ervin (Pat) Warren of
Mount Pearl; daughters, Genevieve (Frank) Squire of Eastport, and Norma (Fred)
Borden of Conception South. Also left to mourn their wonderful nan, nine
grandchildren, Darrel (Gail), April (David), Pierre (Isabelle), Amanda (Jamie),
Craig (Jennifer), Neal (Amanda), Jennifer (Austin), Elliott Warren and Christa
Borden, also nine great-grandchildren, Parka Squire of Goose Bay, Rebekah,
Hannah, Rachael, and Miriam McNeilly of Paris, France; Jessie and Sarah Ayles
of Glovertown; and Samuel and Jacob Warren of Montreal. Also with many fond
memories, two brothers, Leonard (Geraldine) Sweetapple and Donald (Louise)
Sweetapple, and one very special sister, Genevieve Perry - all of Glovertown.
Also a very large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Funeral
services took place on July 17th, 2009 at the Salvation Army Citadel,
Glovertown with interment following at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Glovertown.

She

HODDER, Todd Sheldon -
Passed away as a result of a tragic accident in Northern Quebec on July
17, 2009, Todd Sheldon Hodder, age 35 years of Gander. Predeceased
by his grandparents, Kenneth and Susie Hodder, Leslie and Althea Pennel; cousin,
Stephen Pennell. Left to mourn the love of his life, Danielle Sogno Hodder;
parents, Clarence and Betty Hodder of Gander; sisters, Monique Hodder of Gander,
Tamara (Richard) Gibson of Wiota, Iowa; nieces, Hayley and Breanna; nephew,
Grayson Gibson; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Charlene Sogno; brothers-in-law,
Roald (Gina) Sogno and Remo, all of South Africa. Also a large circle of aunts,

Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on July
18, 2009, Georgina Samson, age 87. Predeceased by her husband, Daniel R.

Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL on July
22, 2009.
Born October 20, 1928 in Belleoram, Newfoundland. Harris was the son of the
late Cyril and Eleanor Buffett. He was also predeceased by his wife, Jean
Helen Buffett; brother, Gerald and sister, Gladys. Left with loving memories
are his son, David of Halifax; daughters, Agnes (John) Greer of Halifax,
Donna (Jim) Johnston of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Adam, David, Kathleen.
He is also survived by his brothers, Rupert (Gladys) of Dartmouth, NS, Gordon
(Verna), George (Brenda) of Corner Brook; sisters, Winnie Evans, Eleanor
(Loyd Anstey), Joyce (Eric) Borden, Maxine (Ray) Gushue - all of Corner Brook,
numerous nieces and nephews and his loving companion, Elsie Carter of Gander
and her children, Don, Bob, Debbie and their families. A memorial service
was held July 27th from Emmanuel Anglican Church, Halifax, NS. Inurnment
at Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, NS. Donations in Harris’ memory
