ROBBINS, Stephen Gordon (1939-2007) -
Passed peacefully away at Dr.
G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, July 6,
2007 after
a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Gordon's last several days
were like his life, surrounded by friends and worrying about the well
being of his family. Gord was a friend to many and his presence will
be sadly missed by his loving family and all that knew him. Gord is predeceased
by his wife, Marge, 2006; son, Ted, 1980; and his parents, Irene, 2001
and Eli John, 1995. Left to mourn are sons, Gregory (Carolanne) of Scarborough,
ON; Glenn (Cheryl) of Greenwood, NS; and Bruce of Vancouver, BC; daughter,
Debbie (Dave) of St. John's. Gordon also leaves sisters, Belinda (Edgar)
of St. Jones Within and Ella (Don) of Scarborough, ON; brother, Ted (Kay)
of Burnaby, BC; sisters-in-law, Ruby (Colin) of North York, ON and Norma
(Paul) of Toronto, ON; brothers-in-law, Wade (Linda) of Gander and Neil
(Linda) of Gander. Gord also leaves to mourn his cherished grandchildren,
Melanie, Cory, Stephen, Nicholas, Daniel, Shawna, Chelsea, and Shelby
as well as a large circle of relatives and close friends. Visitation
took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Cremation followed.
Memorial service to be held at Emmanual United Church in Carmanville
on July 21st with interment to follow. Due to allergies, please no flowers
or scented products.

Passed peacefully away on July
8, 2007 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Elizabeth
(Betty) Eileen James of Gander, age 86 years. Predeceased
by her husband, Jack, son, David and daughter, Connie. Left to mourn
with fond and loving memories are her sons, John (Bud) (Bernice) of Gander
and Don (Joy) of Nova Scotia; daughter-in-law, Phyllis of St. John's;

PYE, Warrick - Passed away at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, Ontario on Monday,
July 9, 2007, Mr. Warrick Pye of Goose Bay in his 62nd year.
Predeceased by his father, Edmund and father-in-law, Peter Stokes. Left
to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Mildred; mother,
Pearl Pye of Mary's Harbour; son, Keith (Valerie) of Goose Bay; daughter,
Maxine (Shawyne Young) of Orangeville, ON; mother-in-law, Ethel Stokes
of Deadman's Bay; three stepbrothers, Richard Pye (Shirley), Brad Pye
(Donna) and David Pye; one stepsister, Judy Smith (Barry), all of Vancouver,

SAMSON, Louis (1924-2007) - Passed peacefully away on July
9, 2007 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Louis
Samson of St. Brendan's, age 83 years. Predeceased by
his parents, Michael and Mary Samson, brother, James and sister, Johanna.

10, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre,
St. John's, Leonard P. Kelly of Gambo. Left to mourn his wife, Robina;
sons, Cameron, Laurie (Joanne) and Robin (Dawnise); daughters, Pauline
(John), Beverley (Ricky), Kimberley Ann, Averill (Kenny), grandchildren,

Passed away suddenly in St. John's, on July
11, 2007, Shirley Oxford, formerly of Gander, in her 62nd year.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children, Rick
(Juanita), Susan (Randy), Kimberley (Mark), Dean (Jewell), companion,
Alex, mother, Nancy; brothers, Gordon (Juanita), Davis (Sandra), Dennis
(Carol) and sister, Dale. Shirley was the proud grandmother of Hillary,
Emily, Jacob, Hannah, Chad and Christopher. Funeral service was held
on July 13th at Barrett's chapel with Captains Anthony and Yvonne
Ledrew officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery
on Blackmarsh Road, St. John's.
FANCY, Wilfred - Passed away suddenly on Thursday,
July 12, 2007 at Brookfield Hospital, Wilfred Fancy of
Wareham, age 79. Predeceased by son, Harvey and daughters, Bonnie and
Christine. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife,
Beatrice; sons, Ewert (Maisie) of Labrador City and Max (Joanne); and
daughter, Geraldine (Art), all of Wareham, daughter-in-law, Donna of

Wheaton of Frederickton, age 86. Predeceased by daughter,

July 17, 2007, Cecil John Sainsbury of Newtown, age 95 years.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Louisa Sainsbury; father-in-law,
Tomas Bungay; mother-in-law, Annie Bungay. Left to mourn with fond

After a brief illness, passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial
Hospital Pallative Care Unit, Gander on Sunday, July 22, 2007,
Samuel Elias Rogers, in his 90th year. Samuel was
born on Silver Fox Island, Bonavista Bay, NL on January 4, 1918, moved
to Hare Bay in 1956 and resided at Oram's Emmanuel Manor, Gambo for the
past two years. Loving husband of Tryphena Rogers (sixty-six years of
marriage); dear brother of Daisy Rogers (Wilfred), Gordon Rogers (Violet)
and Josie Button (William); dear father of Garland Rogers (Audrey), Leone
Davis (Gordon), Winston Rogers (Geneva), Margaret Burry (late William
Burry), and Shirley Rogers (Daniel); dear grandfather, of six grandchildren,
Kim Sturge, Troy Rogers, Kent Rogers, Michael Burry, Jeffrey Davis, and
Joanne Parsons; dear great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren, Cassandra
Rogers, Christopher Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Cassidy Davis, Benjamin Parson

COOPER, Royal Passed
peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on July
23, 2007, Mr. Royal Cooper, age 86 years. Royal was a WW II
Veteran pilot. He flew from the 1940's thru to the modern era. He was
involved with the North Atlantic Aviation Museum in Gander. He also was
a member of Gander 's first town council and acted as Mayor for a short
period of time. Mr. Cooper is predeceased by his wife Ella, parents,
Obediah and Bertha Cooper, and brother, Bill Cuff. Left with loving memories
are his son, Glen (Sadie) of Gander, sisters, Amanda (Jim) of Florida,
Valda (Jim) of Brantford ; grandchildren, Jodi Marie Cooper of Halifax,
NS, and Michele Lynne Cooper of Toronto, ON. Also a large circle of other
relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on July 26th at Fraser

23, 2007, Annie Amelia Winsor of Carmanville, formerly of Wesleyville,
aged 61 years. Predeceased by her father, Willis Spurrell and daughter,
Joanne Marie. Annie, known to family and friends as Aunt Nance was born
at Badger's Quay, NL. She left to mourn with fond and loving memories,
