SWEETAPPLE, Mandy Delphine -
Passed peacefully away on January 1, 2009 at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander, Mandy Delphine Sweetapple of Glovertown, aged 49 years. Predeceased by her parents, Harry and Blanche Sweetapple. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are seven brothers, Boyd (Priscilla), Frank (Ruby), Eric (Ivy), Winston (Marion), Frazer (Donna), George (Pat), Rex (Janice); one sister, Marie Blackwood (Gilbert); nine nephews; nine nieces; one aunt, Elizabeth Whalen, St. John's and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Oram's Funeral Home in Glovertown. Funeral service was held January 4, 2009 at the Salvation Army Citadel in Glovertown. Interment was held at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Donations can be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, Glovertown.

MOULAND, Edgar -
Passed away on January 3, 2009 at his residence in Musgrave Harbor, Mr. Edgar Mouland in his 61st year. There is so much one could say about Edgar, anyone who knew him had to love him. He always had a smile, a story, or a joke to tell. He loved life, his family and his many, many friends. He had a passion for his game of darts, his trips in the woods, his job and his co-workers. Born in Musgrave Harbour, June 16, 1947. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Phemea Mouland. Left to mourn is loving wife and best friend of 36 years, Ivy; his two children, Jenatte (Corey) and Clifford (Stacy); his two grandchildren, Coady and his special sweets, Kylie; one brother, Gurshc (Eleanor); two sisters, Hazel (Arthur) and Marie; also his mother-in-law, Janet whom he shared a special love for. He had countless numbers of friends who he always enjoyed; two very dear friends, Ray and Brent. Today we celebrate the life of a perfect husband, father, grampy, brother and friend. He has touched the lives of many and we were lucky to have had him in our lives. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, January 6th from the Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour. Interment followed from the Salvation Army cemetery in Musgrave Harbour with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey officiating. Passed away on January 5, 2009 at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander, Mrs. Olive Pinsent, of Musgrave Harbour in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband, Adolphus and daughter-in-law, Irene Pinsent. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons, Cecil (Maisie) of Musgrave Harbour and Boyce of Musgrave Harbour; two daughters, Doris Hicks (Ellis) of Musgrave Harbour and Elizabeth Mouland (Wallace) of Musgrave Harbour; 10 grandchildren, Michella, Michael, Dean, Neil, Collin, Danny, terry, Charlene, Shane and Shannon; 10 great-grandchildren, Sheldon, C.J. , Brandon, Chasity, Andrew, Amber, Spencer, Allie, Roger and Michael; one great-great-granddaughter, Madison and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away on Monday, January 5, 2009 at Brookfield Hospital, Emma Emily Sheppard, aged 90 years of Badger's Quay. Predeceased by her husband, William; parents, Charles and Annie Feltham; brother, Thomas. Passed peacefully away January 6, 2009 at Lakeside Homes, Gander, Donald Pinsent, aged 88. Predeceased by his wife, Minnie Juanita (West), brothers, Jack and Cyril. Left with loving memories are son, William of Ladle Cove, daughter, Eleanor (George) Leslie of St. John's, sister, Ruby (Hedley) Wareham of Deer Lake; grandchildren, Robert, Jayson, Kristan, Kenneth and great-grandchildren, Kalista and Aidain, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Mr. Pinsent was a retired public servant, active in Elks, Kiwanis, St. James United Church, Canadian Cancer Society and Meals On Wheels. Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Alfreda Pope; husband, Walter; son, Ralph; sisters, Carrie Hoyles and Annie Hoyles; brother, William Pope. Predeceased by her husband, Harry Torraville; father, Arthur Osmond; mother, Patience Osmond (Combden); children, Harold, Arthur, Oswald, Phyllis, Ivy; daughter-in-law, Bertha Torraville; sisters, Martha, Salena, Louise, Alice, Fanny; adopted brother, Claude Osmond (Tarrant). Predeceased by his first wife, Grace; daughter, Iona; son-in-law, John; grandson, Grant; brothers, Reg and Arch; sister, Mildred. Passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, NL, Timothy William Kelly, aged 74 years. Predeceased by his parents, John and Agnes Kelly; brother, Ambrose 1996; sisters, Mary Josephine Moore 1998; Elizabeth Kelly 2003. Predeceased by his son, Tony and sister, Sharon. Passed peacefully away on January 24, 2009 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Lillian Green, age 85 years of Gambo. Predeceased by her parents Mark and Jane Green; two sisters and three brothers. SKIFFINGTON, Maxwell Howard -
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family, on January 25th, 2009 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, Maxwell Skiffington of Gambo, aged 67 years. Predeceased by his parents, John and Elsie Skiffington, his son, Alex and his brother, Alex. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend of 48 years, Rose; his 5 children, Tony (Rosalie), Cathy (Calvin Powell), Gary (Kimberly), Christopher (Karen) and Trevor (Heather); 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Florence Piercey of Benton; 2 brothers, Robert (Alice), Garland (Robena) of Gambo and a large number of nephews and nieces. DAWE, Emma Winifred (Winnie)
Our mother, Winnie, wife of the late Charles Cecil Dawe of Gander, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, Ontario, in her 99th year. Loved mother of Marina Fleming (Ron) and Charles F. Dawe (Juanita) both of Thornhill, Ontario and predeceased by her son, Lloyd L. Dawe. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, David Dawe (Sandra), Karen Dawe, William (Bill) Dawe, John Dawe (Lianne), Erin Dalling (Tom), Shaun Walsh (Krista), Michael Walsh (Dee), Julie Slaughter (Beaux), Ron Fleming (Fernanda), Teresa Danbrook (Mike), Maurice Dawe and Stefan Dawe. She will also be missed by her 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at the Marshall Funeral Home in Richmond Hill on Saturday, January 31st at 4:00pm with The Reverend Dan Graves of the Brooke Street Anglican Church in Thornhill officiating. Internment will be take place at 1:00pm on Monday, April 13th at the All Saints Cemetery in Gander. A Memorial celebration of Mom's life for family and friends will be held Monday, April 13th at 2:00pm at St. Martin's Anglican Church in Gander. Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Brookfield Hospital, Howard Ackerman age 80 years of Centreville. Predeceased by his parents, John and Susannah; stepfather, Harold Pickett; brothers Lester, Joseph; sisters Stella, Pearl and Honor. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Lorraine, Patricia (Jerry Lush) all of Centreville; two grandsons, Kerry (Tracy) of Bauline, Jamie (Sherry) of Bradford, Ont. ; five great-grandchildren, Tianna, Cruz, Tanya, Porsha and Drew; one sister, Katherine (Carl Davis) of Centreville and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville on Sunday, February 1 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Margaret Hall officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Centreville. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville. BLAGDON, John -
Passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte, Mr. John Blagdon of Musgrave Harbour in his 81st year. Predeceased by his wife, Jean, 2005; son Brian; parents, Philip and Mary; brother, George; sister, Sarah and nephew, Warren. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter, Roma Hicks (Leo), Musgrave Harbour; four grandchildren, Julie, Musgrave Harbour, Mark (Natasha), Gander, Jaime (Terrence), St. John's and Gina (Robert), Gander; nine great-grandchildren, Amber, Samuel, Blair, Christian, Brianna, Ellajeane, Carly-Rae, Sean and Kasey; special great niece, Allyson; one brother-in-law, Mac Guy, Musgrave Harbour; one sister-in-law, Irene Guy, Musgrave Harbour and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Sunday, February 1st from the St. Luke's United Church in Musgrave Harbour. Interment followed from the St. Luke's United Church Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour with Rev. H. Templeman officiating. Funeral arrangement entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Homes in Musgrave Harbour/Wesleyville.

NI CHOL, Cassie Shannon -
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our baby girl on Thursday, January 29, 2009. Cassie was born on December 6, 2008 to Shane Nichol and Jennifer King who loved and cherished the short time they had with her. Left to mourn with loving memories are her parents, Shane and Jennifer; sisters, Telena and Latisha; grandparents, Kenneth and Kay Collins, George and Shirley Lee; uncle Jordon and a large circle of relatives and friends. Cassie was a loving daughter, granddaughter and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral service was held Monday, February 2, 2009 from the Pentecostal Church, Carmanville followed by interment at the Pentecostal Church, Carmanville followed by interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Passed peacefully away on January 31, 2009 at Brookfield Hospital, Howard Alexander Perry, aged 87 years of Newtown, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by his wife, Ivy; special friend, Lottie Hill; brothers, Pearce and Wilfred; sister, Lillian Dawe; brothers-in-law, Graham Dawe and Howard Hall; sister-in-law, Rita Perry and niece, Lillian Gill. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are one son, Chesley (Judy) of Evanston, ILL, USA; one daughter, Florence (Baxter Green) of Newtown; one brother, Harold Perry (Daisy) of Newtown; three sisters, Livy (Chesley Howell) of St. John's, Sophie Hall of Newtown, Olive (Eli Gill) of Newtown; one sister-in-law, Mona Perry of St. John's; grandchildren, Kimberley Collett (Keith Willcott), Darryl Green, Jill Green (Stephen Harris), Alexander Perry (Erin), Nathaniel Perry; great-grandchildren, Spencer Collett, Grace Willcott, Jesse Wilcott, Crosby Harris, Nicholas Harris and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on February 3rd at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown, Bonavista Bay with Rev. Shaun O'Connor officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Newtown.
