BROWN, LISA-DAWN
Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Center, Gander on February 9th, 2017, Lisa- Dawn Brown, age 49.Left to mourn with loving memories are her husband Gregory Brown, father Neil (Linda) of Gander, mother Mildred (James) of Seminole, FL, USA; daughters Ashley-Lynn (Ryan Evans) of St. John's, Megan (Dillon Shearing) of Gander, beloved fur baby Maya, brothers Stephen of Goulds, Michael (Catherine) of Baltimore, MD, USA; brother-in-law Shane (Cindy) of Gander, sister Christine of St. John's, her best friend Angela Nolan who's shown tremendous love and support and a very large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home on Sunday, February 12th from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. In keeping with Lisa's wishes, cremation has taken place. A small private family service will be held in her memory with interment at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa's memory may be made to the Gander and Area SPCA, 36 McCurdy Dr., Gander, NL. CRANN, Pauline Lynette
Passed peacefully away and now walking in the fields of gold hand in hand with her parents, Pauline Lynette Crann BVE, graduate of the General Hospital School of Nursing. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Marie Crann. Left with fond and loving memories, her sons, Aaron and Evan Jeans; special friends Barry and Kim Pike; sisters, Marlene (Paul) Smith, Michelle (Todd) Osmond, and Heather (Jim) Flynn; nieces, Samantha and Olivia; nephews, Matthew, Keegan, and Nicholas; longtime caregiver and friend, Heather Skeard; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the caregivers who have been involved over the past years of her life, Dr. A. Rolfe, and the medical and nursing staff at St. Clare's Hospital. To honor Pauline's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home, 1045 Topsail Road, Mt. Pearl on Thursday, February 16th, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m and 7 - 9 p.m, and Friday, February 17th, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m and 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Mt. Pearl on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at 11 a.m, with inurnment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. HUMPHRIES, MARTIN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, February 27, 2017 Martin Humphries age 67 years of Wesleyville. Predeceased by his parents Carman and Johannah Humphries, sister Anne Knight, brother Lester Humphries, father-in-law Harvey Jacobs, mother-in-law Margaret Jacobs, sister-in-law Margaret Humphries and special family dog Niao. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife of 44 years Elizabeth of Wesleyville, daughters Nancy (Edward) of Gander and Angie (Terry) of Gander, brothers Ray (Joyce) of Lumsden, Jake (Ada) of Wesleyville and Len of Gander, sisters Marg (Irv) of Gander and Emma (Don) of St. John's, brother-in-law Paul Knight of Mt. Pearl, grandchildren Kennedy Kean (Aaron) and Ethan Humphries and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville on Saturday, March 4, 2017 with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. PELLEY, Calvin J.
December 17, 1925 - February 4, 2017

It is with loving thoughts & memories, that we celebrate the life of Calvin Jennings Pelley who passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Heath Care Centre on Saturday February 4, 2017, surrounded by family at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his wife Mamie; parents Mary Ellen & Fred; baby daughter Yvonne, siblings: Daphne, Betty, Boyce, Cassandra and Don. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons: Bob (Christine), QC., Clint (Michele) of Gander, Wood (Tina) of Oakville, Doug (Genie) of Paradise, Jeff of Gander; daughter Diane (Paul) of Oakville; eleven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brothers: Harry, Tom, Bob (Ruby); sister Margaret (Paul) and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Calvin moved to Gander as a young man to help build the Newfoundland Airport, stayed on to build his home and raise his family in the new town of Gander. He worked at Shell & EPA as a valued and conscientious employee. He loved the outdoors & a good boil up. He will be loved and missed, always for his gentle demeanor and dry wit. The family would like to thank Cavelle Winsor for her kind & caring ways and the staff at the James Paton Memorial Health Care Centre for their guidance during his final hours. Family received friends at Stacey's Funeral Home. The funeral service will took place on Tuesday February 7th, 2017 at 2 p.m. from the Fraser Road United Church. PIPPY, Ada Emily
February 1, 1925 - February 9, 2017

Passed away suddenly and peacefully in the presence of her loving family at the James Paton memorial Health Care Centre on Thursday February 9, 2017, Ada Emily (Dollie) Pippy (nee Elliott) at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Victor (2008), parents Claude and Pearl Elliott, sister Annie and brother Max. She leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories her daughter Christine (David) Boyde of Mount Pearl; son Barry (Brenda) Pippy of Gander, her well-loved and much talked about grandchildren: Cathy, Christopher, Andrew (Christine) Boyde, Jonathan and Jessica Pippy; great granddaughters, whom she fondly referred to as "the little dears"; Kate, Emily and Audrey Boyde; brothers: Lindy (Daisy), Hiram (Adelaide) Doyle (Joan); sister Maxine (Lloyd) Hull; sisters-in-law: Mildred, Madeline, Margie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation has taken place at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe avenue on Saturday February 11, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at The Salvation Army Citadel, Gander on Sunday February 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Captains Sheldon & Ashley Bungay with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. SAUNDERS, Christopher Neil
December 15, 1967 - February 18, 2017

Born and raised in Gander, NL, Christopher moved to Victoria in 1994. Despite physical and mental challenges, he was able to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. He participated in the Special Olympics Swim Program and Thai Chi. He also enjoyed playing Crib and going out to a movie. He had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He will be missed by all who knew him. Predeceased by his mother, Catherine and sister-in-law, Jane. He leaves to mourn, father Calvin; sisters Heather (Larry), Pam (Colin); brothers Derek (Christine), Jeff (Brenda) and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the medical and nursing staff involved in his care, especially Drs. John Antonsen, Wei Song, Mary Connolly and Margaret Badger, RN and also, the staff at the Wascana Group Home. A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Luke's Anglican Church. WELLS, Gilbert
October 23, 1930 - February 14, 2017

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2017, Gilbert Wells, age 86. He was predeceased by: parents Hubert and Mabel Wells; Infant Brother John; Daughter Elizabeth Jayne and Son Gregory Arthur Cecil. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his Wife Winnie Roebothan; Sons Lary (Janet) of Corner Brook, NL and Geof (Cathy) of Gander, NL; Brother Arthur (Muriel, deceased); Grandchildren John (Catherine), Karyn (Rod) Seabright, Trudy (Greg), Steven Cranford, Jayne (Evan) O'Connor, Serena and Great Grandchild Carter Seabright; Son in Law Terry Bartlett; Brother in Law Cecil (Annie) Roebothan, Sister in Laws Lorna (Heber, deceased) Walters and June (Walter) Butler, also a large circle of family and friends. In keeping with Gilbert's wishes cremation has taken place. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield on Friday, February 17, 2017, Lawrence Wornell age 78 years of Greenspond. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Violet Mae Wornell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Averil, son Walter (Sherry) of Greenspond, daughter Dawn (Brian) of Enfield, Nova Scotia, grandchildren Jeremy (Danielle), Wendy (Christopher), Tamara (Kyle), Chantal and Danielle, great grandchildren Craig, Gemma and Sadie and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Monday, February 20, 2017 with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Shambler's Cove.
