It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Brookfield Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 James Floyd Ackerman age 47 years of Trinity. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Lillian Brown. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Bertina; son Gregory (Tracy) of Gander; daughter Heather (Craig) of Trinity; parents Abe and Daphne Ackerman of Centreville; sister Tina (Cecil Matthews) of Gander; sister-in-law Wanda (Woodrow Feltham) of Trinity; brother-in-law Daryl Brown (Kathy) of Ontario; father-in-law Percy Brown (Kathleen) of Newtown; nieces Tori and Tara; nephew Andy; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity on Friday, February 13, 2015 with Rev. David Coffin officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity. Os Anstey
, 85, passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, February 12, 2015. Predeceased by wife Veneta; 2 infant sons; parents - Albert and Chatfield Anstey, sisters - Viola Ross and Gladys Fudge. Left with loving memories are his sons Robert (Kathy) of Gander, Peter (Trina) of Kelligrews; daughters Wanda (John) Dooley of Gander, Joanne (Harvey) MacPherson and Annette (Ira) Crummey of Riverview, New Brunswick; sister Diane Anstey of Gander; grand-children Sara, Troy, John, Matthew, Justin, Chelsea, Nicole, Stephen, David, Courtney, Benjamin and Addisyn; great grandchildren Kennedy, Peyton, Max, Beth and Nathan; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Tuesday, February 10th, 2015, Verley Aubrey, age 73. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Emma Francis, brother Barry, sister-in-law Yvonne Francis. Left to mourn with loving memories are her husband Nelson, daughters Michele Aubrey (Paul Bennett) of Sherbrooke, QB; Yvette Clement (Douglas) of Sherbrooke, QB; brothers Carl, Derek (Barbara), Calvin (Anne), sisters Josephine Stott (Robert) of Belleville, ON; Doreen Murray (Robert) of Orleans, ON; grandchildren Corey Swaga, Griffon Clement, Brenna Clement and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Saturday, February 21st, 2015, Terry Chaulk, age 66. Predeceased by his parents Chesley and Alfreda and sister Patsy. Lewis Dawe
passed away peacefully at the Harbour Lodge in Carbonear on 15 February 2015 in his 81st year with his son Rick by his side. Lewis is predeceased by his wife Helen (Isaacs), his parents William and Lily May, and sisters Alma Whelan and Sarah Drover. Left to mourn with loving memories are his son Rick (Sylvia) of Goose Bay, NL, granddaughters Melissa (Stephen) of Belleville, ON, Jennifer (Matthew) of Ottawa, ON, and Stephanie of Goose Bay, NL, sister Nellie (Mal) of Boston, Massachusetts, brother Bill (Lois) of Coley's Point, NL, sister Evelyn (Sandy) of Newmarket, ON and a large group of friends and extended family. Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Friday, February 27th, 2015, Helen Downton, age 86. Predeceased by her parents Hubert and Gertrude Keats, brothers William, Bruce, Fred and sister Ruth. Left to mourn with loving memories are her loving husband of 63 years Harrison Downton, son Edward (Jocelyn) of Gander, daughter Heather (Fred Rowe) of Gander, brother Edgar Keats (Blanche) of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren Paul (Christina), Michael (Rachel), Lori, Christopher, Janet (Adam Harris), Sara, great-grandchildren Ava, Jonathan, Joshua and a large circle of family and friends. Susie Jane Feltham (Sweetapple)
of Lakeside Homes in Gander NL passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 4, 2015 at the age of 79. Formerly of Glovertown, NL and Alma, NB. Predeceased by her long time partner, Ray Searle. Also her parents; Benjamin & Ellen Sweetapple; stepmother; Ethel Stratton (Sweetapple), brothers: Raymond, Clarence & Thomas; sister: Bessie and stepsister: Marie Brown (Stratton). Left to mourn are her children, John (June), Ray Paulette, Marguerite (Eric), Geraldine (Jimmy), Helen (Paul), Kathy (John), Lisa (Melvin). Sister, Gertie Sweetapple and sister-in-law, Beatrice Sweetapple. 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Stepchildren, Gene (Anne), Ruth Rayburn, Marilyn Goddard, Wayne (Bernadette), Linda (James), Patty (Gary) and Marsha. Stepbrother Walter Stratton and stepsister Mildred Stratton. Passed into peace at her home on Tuesday, February 10th, 2015, Lenora A. Fox-Noseworthy, age 96. Predeceased by her husband Roland Fox (1977), husband Eric Noseworthy (2004), daughter Judy Fontaine, brothers Frank, Herb, Bill, Jim, Pearce, sisters Daisy, Beatrice, granddaughter Cheryl Fontaine. After a long, fulfilling life, Margaret Agnes Hewitt, formerly of Boyd's Cove, passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes on February 10, 2015 in her 101st year. Predeceased by husbands, James Mercer (1971) and Stanley Hewitt (1997). Brothers Arthur, Isaac, Raymond, Henry Ledrew and sister Daisy Roberts. Left with fond and loving memories daughter, Ida Cull (Joe) of Gander, NL and step son, John Hewitt (Sandra) of Boyd's Cove, NL. Sisters Gertie Mercer and Carrie Simms (Hubert) of Boyd's Cove, NL. Grandchildren Dora Feltham (Robert of Newmarket, ON, Shawn Cull (Debbie) of Moncton, NB, Dean Cull (Stephanie) of Gander, NL and Sheldon Cull (Paula) of Whitehorse, YT. Step grandchildren Trina Pearce (Paul) of Boyd's Cove, NL and Krista Hewitt (Aaron) of St. Anthony, NL. Great grandchildren, Erin Feltham (Paul), Andrew Feltham (Amaya), Stephen Cull (Felicia), Amanda Cull (Justin), Oliver and Everett Cull and step great grandchildren Erica and Jessica Pearce. Great Great grandchildren Hannah Feltham Fillmore and Seniko Feltham. Many nieces and nephews, sister in law, Mary Ledrew, family, friends and the ACW of which she was a member of for 80 years. KINGSLEY, Laurie
It is with great sadness that the family of Laurie Kingsley (formerly Laura Freake of Boyd's Cove) announces her passing away. At the age of 89, she slipped peacefully away from us in the early hours of Thursday morning, Feb, 12th, 2015 at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center, Twillingate, NL. She is survived by her three children, Howard Freake (wife Olive), Louise Chesterton (husband Paul) and Joan Richard (husband Billy), three nieces, Sherry Morrow (husband Chris), Lori Freake and Melanie Chesterton (husband Tom), and two great-grandchildren, Keegan and MacKenzie Penhale.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved. Rest easy special lady!

PEDDLE, Bessie
Bessie Norena Peddle
, 85, of Gander, NL, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the presence of her family. She was born January 16, 1930 to Jacob and Lulu Legge. Bessie was a warm and good natured woman quick to share her infectious laugh. She lived a full life and wore many hats: mother, wife, sister, grandmother, entrepreneur, decorator, seamstress, world traveler, animal lover, bowler and devout Christian. Her survivors are son David (Madeleine), siblings Violet, Nina and Sandra (Darrell) grandchildren Jennifer (Gent), Laura (Craig), and Michael (Nina), and great grandchildren Liam and Matthew. Preceding Bessie in death, her husband Ambrose, and siblings George, Jean, and Norm. Visitation was held at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Friday, February 27, 2015. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Gander. Interment followed at all Saints Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Passed away suddenly at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on Friday, February 20th, 2015, Elsie Ryder (Nee Oldford), age 79. Predeceased by her parents Maynard and Myrtle Oldford, and brother William Oldford. Left to mourn with cherished memories are her loving husband of 55 years Allan Ryder, son Richard (Sheila) of St. John's, NL; daughters Karen Ryder of Torbay, NL, Susan Ryder-Soucy (Roger) of Gander, NL; brothers Bob (Louise), Burt (Lynn), Winsor (Jean), Albert (Judy), Tom (Linda), Doug (Judy), Marvin (Mona), Gary; sister-in-law Gertrude Oldford; sisters Dorothy Hynes (Robert), Leona Dyke (Carl), Theresa Adams (Byron), Beverley Norris (Eric); grandchildren Nicholas, Julianne, Jane, Brendan, Jessica, and Stephen, and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Elsie graduated from the Old General Hospital in St. John's, NL as a registered nurse in 1958. She will be forever remembered and loved as a devoted nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. SAUNDERS, Ronald Clarence

passed away at James Paton Memorial Health center, in Gander NL, on February 25th 2015 at the young age of 66 years. He is predeceased by his mother Beatrice Saunders (King) of Gander Bay, NL. He leaves to mourn with many memories his father Don Saunders (Shirley) his wife of 25 years, Joan Saunders (Nippard), Son, Danny Saunders (Becky) all of Gander Bay NL. Daughters, Angie Parsons and grandchildren Lane and Brooklyn Parsons of Deer Lake, NL. Janice Hodder (Steve) and grandchildren Alexandria and Matthew of Main point, NL, Son, Dino Farrell (Nadine) and grandchildren, Colin, Billy, Peton, and Mya Farrell of Harcourt NL. His brothers, Harry (Carla) and Fred, sisters, Diane Batstone (Derek) of Fort McMurray, AB. and Judy Poole-Maisonneuve (Mike) of Cookstown, Ont. Also many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ron was born in Clarkes Head, NL and is the oldest of his family. He will be remembered for his remarkable ability to operate equipment and his love for the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, nature was his calling. A man with a kind heart and ruled with an iron fist….. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be postponed until this summer so his family and friends can gather.

Passed away peacefully on February 21, 2015 at Brookfield Hospital, Kenneth Sturge age 87 years of Pound Cove. Predeceased by his parents; Rebecca and Robert Sturge and brothers; Allan Sturge and Lester Sturge. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Olive of Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, sons; Gerald (Virginia) of Mount Pearl and Rick (Christal) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, daughters; Marie (Leslie Hann) of Badger's Quay, Ruby (Mike Hussey) of Portugal Cove, Sheila (Clyde Hann) of Iqaluit, NU and Rose (Boyd Vincent) of Valleyfield, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a large circle of other family and friends. TIMMONS, Edward Joseph
June 19, 1946 - Feb 16, 2015

Passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Health Science Center, St. John's, Mr. Edward Joseph Timmons, age 68 years of Glenwood. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Verina; children, Christopher, Joseph (Tina), Kevin (Tina), Jason, Vernia (Mike Mercer); grandchildren Christina, Brandon, Sarah, Andrew, Samuel, Caleb, Matthew and Steven; brother, Clarence (Ellen); sister, Alice (Alonzo Bryan, twin sister, Peggy (Johnny Kvaska) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his daughter, Roxanne Margaret; parents, Edward and Margaret Timmons and brother Ronald. Public visitation took place on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood, NL. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood, NL were gratefully accepted.
